Girl, That’s Not Your Dress: Claire Danes in Oscar de la Renta

Something’s recently come to our attention regarding Claire’s style choices lately. Whoever’s making them doesn’t seem to understand what colors work for her. That orange, pink and blue Prada number made her look sallow, and this 1988 “Pretty in Pink”-inspired Junior Prom number is doing really weird things to her.

Not that we think it’s a bad dress. She’s wearing it badly and it’s bouncing off her skin tone, making it look waxy or something, but we just want you to stare hard at this dress for a few seconds and then picture this:

Lupita.

Right? Girl, pack that shit up and FedEx it off to Miss Lancome-at-the-moment. She’ll make it sing. You should be in richer, darker colors or the occasional pale washed-out ones. Leave the acid pinks for the ladies who were born to wear them.
