It’s kind of hard to picture a John Galliano/Oscar de la Renta melding of aesthetics, but The Master asked Galliano to come in and wave his Galliano hands over this collection to see what would happen. The result is still very Oscar, but with an undeniably Parisian feel to it. The silhouettes are the same feminine, classic ones you would expect from OdlR, but there’s a pleasingly unexpected severity brought in with the colors and the textiles. It works – and it never strays from the brand’s elegant aesthetic. We especially love the “vintage” fabrics in their bold colors; elegant, retro and just a teeny bit edgy at the same time.
