The notes for this show (entitled “Batteries Not Included”) referenced ’80s surrealist art, techno, sci-fi, “digital nature,” and, the one that tied it all together for us, “bad girl/good girl.” That latter phrase tends to hit right at the heart of Nicole Miller, whose recent collections straddle that line between “pretty princess” and “rocker chick” – not that the two should ever be seen as mutually exclusive, just that Nicole Miller is especially in tune with that line and what lies on either side of it. In this case, wild digital prints, skinny pants, pretty dresses from floaty to tailored, and just the right amount of attitude.
