Let’s DO THIS, bitches! Whore Prom is GO!
Alicia Keys in Diane von Furstenberg
It’s not bad, but it’s a bit casual and off-season. Sure, it’s been a bit chilly on the East Coast this week but this doesn’t look very late-April appropriate to us.
Anna Paquin in Hervé L. Leroux
Decent enough. Respectable.
Charlize Theron in Emilio Pucci
Girl does not look thrilled to be there. This is a gorgeous dress on her, but she should have worn her hair down to soften that neckline a bit. Also: showier earrings.
Claire Danes in Vivienne Westwood
It’s alright. A bit bridal. White’s not her color.
Dakota Fanning in Prada
For Dakota Fanning, this dress is in a loud, attention-grabbing, eye-searing color. For the rest of the world it’s “She doesn’t look sickly for once. I can’t tell under this light, but I think it’s blue.”
Also, the rest of the world winces at her horrible shoes.
Elizabeth Banks in Antonio Berardi
Pretty, polished, perfect.
Eva Longoria in Marchesa
This just looks done to us. Seen it.
Ivanka Trump in Naeem Khan
It’s awfully showy for the occasion, but we’ve gotta say, girl BROUGHT IT.
Kerry Washington in Calvin Klein
We kinda dig this for being chic but spartan.
Leslie Mann in Naeem Khan
That fabric goes back and forth between awesome and too much.
Lindsay Lohan
The dress looks a little cheap, but credit where it’s due; she’s at least giving the impression of trying to clean up her act.
Malin Akerman in vintage Odicini Couture
Not your size, honey.
Rashida Jones in Tory Burch
It’s not the most glamorous dress in the world, but it’s not helped by the wearer. She has a distinct talent for frumping down almost anything she wears.
Reese Witherspoon in Monique Lhuillier
The “pop of color” rule, inelegantly applied. They’re not awful, but this particular set of earrings would have popped better against a white or grey dress. It’s a bit harsh against a black. Love the dress, though. She’s pulling off that over-complicated neckline.
Rosario Dawson in Armani Privé
Not your size, honey.
Sofia Vergara in David Meister
It’s a little cartoon-y and doesn’t seem quite as formal as it should be, but we appreciate it for not being another skintight mermaid gown.
Viola Davis in Amsale
It’s a gorgeous dress and color, but she looks a little bit like a candlestick in it. A bit too stiff and structured on the bottom.
Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta
It’s sitting too low and the hem is obviously too long, but this is a really sweet, sophisticated dress which suits her to a T. If only it had been fitted to her.
