In or Out: Alison Brie in Topshop

Posted on August 04, 2011

Adorable Community and Mad Men star Alison Brie hit the town in one half of a good outfit. Can the precious unborn fawns that make up the T Lo community of commenters guess which half?

Here’s the thing: That is a super-cute jacket and top. Love the leather trim on the former; love the sheer boobtasticness (paired with fussy grandma collar) of the latter. Also, cute, kickass and interesting shoes. You might think we’re against the shorts and you’d be right, but if you think we’re against formal shorts in general, you will have to move your desk to the back of the class. Feel free to play with the glitter and safety scissors but please refrain from eating the crayons.

It took us a while to come around on them, but we like formal shorts when they’re deployed correctly. What we don’t like is a suit comprising a jacket and matching pair of shorts. That’s not always a great idea; especially when the suit is in an off-white. Plus, the way the shorts flare out isn’t all that flattering to her legs. A more tailored short in a toned-down color to contrast that jacket would have made us very happy. And isn’t that what it’s all about? Making T Lo happy?

Also, she’s such an adorable gal, but that is a pound and a half too much makeup on her face. Tone it down for the flashbulbs, sweetie.

IN! It’s sexy granny chic!

OUT! Coco Chanel is clawing her way out of her grave in fury right now.

Rachel Bilson, who also dressed a little granny today, is still awaiting your opinion on her ensemble she can head out the door to Bingo night. Sandy Bullock got an IN for pulling off (and rocking) a strapless jumpsuit, in full defiance of common sense and good taste.
