Continuing our Independence Day weekend activities of worshiping European royalty, let’s check in on that nice Cambridge couple again.
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attend a tree planting ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa, Canada. Catherine is wearing a Catherine Walker dress paired with a Hobbs clutch and Tabitha Simmons shoes.
Hobbs Somerton Bag
We can hardly believe it, but for once, someone’s pant hem is too short rather than too long. Then again, the more we look at Bill in a suit, the more we think he could use a different cut altogether. He favors the wide lapels and 3-button jackets, but they’re not really doing him any favors. Sure, they make his shoulders look broad, but the cut isn’t all that modern-looking, and considering what he looks like in a polo uniform, there’s no reason for him to look like he’s swimming in his suits. He’s a well-built young man and he always looks like he’s a kid in his father’s suits. Cathy needs to take a break from looking at herself in a mirror and get to work on her husband’s personal style.
As for Cathy, it’s another yeoman-like royal outfit; pretty, extremely flattering to her figure, and almost business-like in its no-nonsense vibe. It gets the job done. We wish she’d chosen a more interesting bag and shoes, but considering she managed to look good while shoveling dirt, she’s done well here.
