PinKnocked that one out of the park, wouldn’t you say? Even Phil looks impressed. It seems to be a very deliberate Jackie Kennedy/Oleg Cassini kind of look, especially with the opera gloves. The halter neckline is hers to own. She always looks fantastic in it. We normally can’t stand opera gloves. We can’t look at them without thinking of Gypsy Rose Lee or Miss Piggy, and while both those ladies have their charms, style icons they are not. They’ve always looked so dated to us, but damn, if they don’t work here. If there’s one time when a gal should want to look like a princess, it’s when you’re the star guest at Buckingham Palace. And we just love the look on her face because she knows – with absolute certainty – that she looks amazing. Well done, Shelley and Tom. When the inevitable coffee table books about her style in the White House come out, this will surely be a highlight.
