Rita Ora Serves up a Very Temperley London Holiday Look at the Oxford Street Christmas Lights Event

Posted on November 09, 2017

We have been working a ridiculously long period of time trying to make this look happen for us. It’s not happening.

We just can’t get over the proportions and textile weights here. A chunky, slightly cropped (or at least, short-waisted) sweater over something the designer called a maxi skirt, but due to the fabric, sweep and pleating, comes off a bit more like a gown. The only good thing we can think to say of this pairing is that the colors go really well together. We’d love to see that skirt turned into a fitted pair of high-waisted pants. Then this would make a lot more sense to our eyes. But maybe we’re just being too literal-minded. What do you think? Is this working? Does it say Christmas to you? And is that footwear choice totally random and distracting or what?

We didn’t even mention the massive turtleneck. We’re going to need some time to deal with that one.
