Kristen Stewart’s Dress Attacks the Red Carpet at the American Cinematheque Award

Posted on November 13, 2017

Kristen. We’re feeling a little personally attacked here. Why is your dress yelling so angrily at us?

We’re having a bit of a fashion synesthesia at the moment, but this frock just comes off like a loud, buzzing irritant in pictures. Granted, K’s not the gal who’s going to dress to make people comfortable. In fact, she tends to make her red carpet choices with an antagonistic undertone to them. There’s sometimes a sense that she chooses things for f-you reasons more than for “I look great” ones. Of course, this could all be part of a contractual arrangement or maybe she really does think this looks fabulous on her. She’s certainly gone for this style and this designer plenty of times before. But this one’s ill-fitting, with weird proportions and in a color that – to our great surprise – doesn’t really flatter her. K Stew can’t wear hard reds. Who knew?

Anyway, feel free to disagree, we’ll just quietly call you wrong. Forgive us, darlings. We’re in the throes of a negative reaction and you know how snippy we can get.

For real, though: this is one of the bad ones, right? At the very least, the red eyeshadow is an abomination unto God. Love the hair, though. HATE the footwear.
