Tessa Thompson Finds Her Decade in Bottega Veneta at the Hammer Museum Gala

Posted on October 16, 2017

January Jones? Girl, you just got schooled:

Granted, the looks are different from each other in a lot of significant ways, but they’re both working a vaguely ’40s vibe and they both utilize some rather odd or awkward approaches to accessorizing. We can’t say we love the gloves (although they’re dramatic as hell), but the dress looks incredibly chic on her and we’re even willing to entertain the sock look in this instance. We noted last week when Thor: Ragnarok opened that she looked great with a ’30s-inspired do. Now we’re thinking she’s got a whole decade-and-a-half of iconic Hollywood styles of the golden era she needs to start working. Ironically, she has a similar affinity for the ’30s and ’40s as January Jones has for styles of the ’50s and ’60s.

What we’re trying to say here is: Get this gal booked for an Ella Fitzgerald biopic pronto, please. We’d pay cash money just to watch her in ’40s stagewear for two hours.
