Style File: Margot Robbie Plays the Style Game at the Toronto International Film Festival

Posted on September 11, 2017

Miss Margot’s having herself a buzzy little week, what with her turn as Tonya Harding in I, Tonya getting everyone all excited at TIFF. Always one with a fairly well-developed sense of promotional style, it’s perhaps no surprise that she’s seizing the moment by dressing for it.

Shall we?

LOVE this. The buttons on the skirt are a bit much, but we’re getting “Receptionist at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce” and you have to figure we’re never gonna have a problem with that.

But seriously, the buttons are weird and distracting. For her next trick, Miss Margot went full on prairie-romantic, which is all the rage among the actress set these days:

Against our better judgment, we like this. What can we say? Erdem’s the way to go if you want old-school floral romance, and a blue-eyed blonde in a cornflower blue is simply never going to be a bad look, no matter the garment. This style is quickly reaching saturation point on the red carpets of the world (which means we’re due for another 18 months of it, at least), but we don’t mind it so much here. Except for the tricky-ass sleeves. They’re annoying.
