Miss Reese is here to put some sun in your morning and some sugar in your coffee, whether you want it or not.
But first, reflections. On the life and career of one Miss Reese Witherspoon. Walk with us, won’t you?
Cute dress, but the silhouette’s not the best for her.
Anyway, our thoughts are these: Several years back, when video of her emerged drunkenly “DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM”ing a cop who pulled her and her husband over, we noted that she wisely reacted to it by embarking on an aggressive sidewalk sashay tour wherein she repeatedly presented herself as a harried, but stylish working wife-n-mom who’s just trying to juggle her many responsibilities while looking cute in skinny jeans and stilettos at mid-day. We were amused by the nakedness of the image campaign, while admitting that the girl was pulling it off. It helped that things like Big Little Lies came along and boosted her career significantly, but the Reese we have today, the Reese who can afford to claim she doesn’t like the word “likeable,” (when she spent at least two straight years trying to convince the public she was), is a direct result of all that masterfully executed PR work. Now, it’s practically a given that she’s a likeable, relatable person.
When we write something like this, a segment of readers tend to assume we’re ragging on her for all this, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. We are in deep admiration for her career and image-management skills.
The colors look great on her, but we really aren’t loving the way the skirt sits.
