Hey, Girlfriend! Love your dress!
When it comes to our predilection for unasked-for advice in the fashion area, on the question of a body-con aesthetic, we tend to come down on the side that says “Use it often if you’re into it, but not always.” Having taken a look at a rather unhealthy number of Miss Reese’s ensembles over the years, she’s that rare bird who gets the “Body-con all the time because it’s the best for you” advice. We figure we’ve probably advised her otherwise a few times over the years, but especially after we saw her in all those great costumes in Big Little Lies, we’ve come around to the idea that tight is really her best look.
Which is why we fully support her taking off the big waist-bow of the runway version. A sleek and unbroken visual line is her best friend. What we love about this dress is that it gives her what she needs, while also adding enough flair to make the silhouette more interesting. Maybe those shoulders aren’t to everyone’s tastes, but we love what they’re doing here. It’s a sassy, sophisticated, flattering look for her.
And she can work black.
