We know this gal’s got a rep ’round these parts, in the sense that the Bitter Kittens have collectively decided (with a bit of gentle persuasion on our parts at times) that Miss Lea is more often than not worth an eyeroll for her red carpetry shenanigans. And it’s true that the incessant vamping and duck-face, along with a truckload of dresses no larger than a few toilet paper squares (and often, just as sturdy), left most of us exhausted after years of forcing ourselves to watch it.
But we feel like she’s toned things down considerably in the post-Glee years, even though we have yet to really see her nail a look in a high-fashion or sophisticated way. She’s not the worst dresser in celebrity-land and she’s not necessarily tacky; it’s just that she never quite nailed it.
Now, we wouldn’t expect anyone to argue that this is an example of her finally acing the red carpet:
But it’s not bad for a late-summer industry-based venue such as this. And it’s got just enough visual interest with that wacky hem, which, we have to admit, we kinda hate. But since it’s a little different, a little bit breezily effortless (which is rare for her) and has a vaguely fashion-y vibe, we’re wondering if any of y’all are willing to defend it as a good look. In other words,
