Elle Fanning is a Fashion Princess at the Miu Miu Resort 2018 Show

In the biz (the content-producing biz, that is), we call this “Starting off with an easy one.” Please try not to be intimidated or confused by the complicated and obscure terminology.

Our point? Well, ol’ T Lo took themselves a 4-day holiday weekend, but the world of fashion and celebrity (especially the non-USA-situated portions of it) kept grinding ever on. And while your rarely humble hosts are gearing up for a big day of opinionating with much in the pipeline to discuss (including some long overdue TV reviews), they need a little bit more time than usual to work up to it. Turns out if you take a break from forming opinions, your opinion-forming muscles atrophy a skosh.

And now, having successfully (depending on how you define it) deployed the term “atrophy a skosh,” we are ready to face the day. And this dress.

Adorbs, as they say when they run out of things to say. She’s not really built for a top knot and the sandals just kinda sit there, but the dress is so utterly Miu Miu, which means it’s so perfect for her, the Miu Miuse.

Yes, we said that. Sue us. It’s Modnesday.

Anyway, should we be annoyed at the sleeves and the neckline/cutout sitch? We feel like we’re supposed to be, but we tend to think this is an instance where the dress is so suited to the wearer that any design quibbles we might have don’t seem to matter.

Still: silver pumps, girl. The dress is too substantial for such flimsy footwear.
