Ah. It’s ever so satisfying when one gets clear confirmation that the stars hang on one’s every word, don’t you find? We said she needed to get out of her reliance on Haider Ackermann and Schiaparelli to maintain her Pope Tilda image and here she is, following our advice to the letter. We honestly should start sending them a bill.
Fine. She picked these frocks out a month ago, probs. Let us have our fantasies, kittens. We don’t come over to your house and slap the porn out of your hands, do we?
Anyway, let’s judge.
In a lot of ways, this is pretty basic Tilda. She likes dresses with volume that offer a strong silhouette. The word that comes to mind is “exaggerated.” We wouldn’t really call this an example of her busting wildly out of her style shell, but it’s bold and dramatic and the print really works for her.
Here’s where she really surprised us:
We’re not used to seeing her in something so floaty and … conventional. But she’s Miss Tilda, and by her very wearing of it, she can turn a conventional garment into something more dramatic. It helps when she’s got an eye-catching print to work with too. She’s worn Chanel plenty of times before, but maybe she could do a little more of this kind of thing.
Black pumps: Yea or Nay? She’s not the pop-of-color type, but they sure are a generic choice.
