Pop Style Opinionfest: Drag, Style & Controversy

Posted on June 06, 2017

Because there was no way in hell we were putting that Kathy Griffin picture at the top of this post.

Yes, darlings. We’re back. Back with the opinions once again. Not only do we take Miss Kathy to task for her dumbass publicity stunt and attention-seeking, but we wind up pleasantly surprised by the gracious response of Miss Ariana Grande to ugly events around her. The One Love Manchester concert was something she, and more importantly Manchester, had much reason to take pride and comfort in.

Oh, and we went on a little bit about the surprising success of Wonder Woman, what it means both to long-time fans of the character (like Tom) on an emotional level, as well as what it means for women on a cultural level and for women directors specifically.

And finally, we went to town on the latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, but that’s not exactly a surprise, now is it?

It turned out to be a fairly fun episode overall. That’s what happens when the last of the dead weight gets cut loose.

That’s right. We said it.

Would you have us any other way, kittens? Thank you all once again!
