The red carpet pickings are as slim as they usually are as we head into the summer season, which means we have no shame in dipping back into the Cannes2017 leftovers to see if there’s anything worth discussing. There isn’t, so we just chose these ladies.
Yes, that was a burn. And not even a true one, because each of these ladies wore something low-key but daytime-chic.
This is actually pretty okay. We don’t think we’d love those shoes in most instances, but they work really well as a way of finishing off a fairly basic frock. The necklace does a good job too. It’s a deceptively well put-together look.
Ditto – almost. The jumpsuit’s plain to the point of being generic, but Miss Eva can make even the plainest garment look dramatic; especially if it’s black. We like some of the jewelry’s she’s sporting, but it doesn’t feel like it’s doing enough to elevate the look. And the shoes are a bit of a missed opportunity. A little more drama and pop in the accessories and this would’ve been great.
A classic look for a classic lady. She should’ve kept the shades on for the perfect “movie star on the Riviera” shot.
This is surprisingly fabulous. At first you think it’s kind of low-key and then the longer you take it in, the more you fall in love with it. Great pieces, well-paired.
