Lorenzo’s Picks for: Loafers and Oxfords

Posted on March 23, 2017

Any of you gals up for a little shoe-shopping on your lunch hour? When we put up Lorenzo’s picks for the oh-so-trendy kitten heel, we knew we’d have to follow up with his picks for those other foot-friendly styles (which also happen to be on trend at the mo) the loafer and the lady oxford. Because the trend in everything right now is toward bolder colors and new ways of embellishing, the options for comfy, bright, eye-catching footwear for ladies are more numerous than ever. Slip into something fabulous, dolls. Let’s start with that humble classic…

LOAFERS:

As you can see, the days of the simple brown of black penny loafer are far behind us. Every color in the rainbow is on the menu, not to mention metallics, animal prints, embroidery and bows. And it makes a great option to dress up a low-key look or dress down a too-fussy one. Lo loves them all, but his faves are the Guccis (you’ve gotta give him that), the glittery and animal print Kate Spades, the Nine West with the creeper soles, and the tasteful Kors with the gold buckle.

But perhaps you’re more of a straight-laced gal than a slip-into-something-comfy one. No worries, darling. Lo’s got you covered with some fun and funky …

OXFORDS:

There is SO much here to love, from butch, businesslike mens-style shoes, to almost Victorian-style laceups, to saddle shoes, winklepickers, and even a few rubber-soled canvas numbers for max cazh. Lo loves the Proenza Schouler with the grommets, the thick-soled Steve Maddens, the pink saddle shoes, any of the metallic brogues, and the bright yellow and green FSJ number. But it’s all good, as far as he’s concerned.

So, kittens. Feel like giving your feet a rest in something fabulous?
