Darlings, awards season is currently in high swing, thanks to a whole bunch of Golden Globes weekend pre-parties and such. And Miss Ruth, who’s been treating the current awards season like her own personal debutante coming out, is hard at work, making sure you remember that she’s fabulous.

This, we would argue, is pretty much a quintessential Ruth Negga look. It’s got a very old-fashioned vibe but it’s rendered with some very modern twists. We love the metallic floral. We do not love the mumsy hem or the fussy shoes. Lose the ruffle, raise that hem 3 inches and find a more chic pair of ankle straps than those.

Next up, Ruth goes cazh:

Alrighty then. For the third time this week, a ladystar has gone out in a blush/white blend and we’re still not loving the combo. Ruth’s is the best of the lot because there’s enough of a contrast between the two colors and because that’s less of a blush and more of a tan with a slight pink undertone. Even so, it’s not our favorite color story. Overall, the outfit’s fine for a brunch, though. We go back and forth on whether that bag really goes with the look. Lorenzo thinks it’s fun, but Tom thinks it’s pulling focus.

Can’t wait to see what she wears tonight!
