Lily Collins’ Dress for W Magazine’s “Best Performances” Celebration is Letting Her Down

Posted on January 06, 2017

This is one instance where the obvious Audrey drag is both helping and hurting a look.

First, we’re loving the head styling, which is pretty much flawless, as far as we’re concerned. As literal as her Audrey drag can sometimes get, we can never fault her for going to that well so often. The fact of the matter is, it just plain works for her.

But this dress, pretty as it is at first glance …

… is awfully … crotchy, no?

And while we can use many words to describe the style of Audrey Hepburn, “crotchy” is most definitely not one of them.

The color’s great and we like the style, but it definitely needs a lining and the sheer yoke over the shoulders looks pretty bad from pretty far away.

Sweetie, this dress? NOT YOUR FRIEND.
