Not really, but they should have.
Y’know? All the credit in the world to her.
There was a lot of conformity on that red carpet and we don’t want to overstate this as if she’s some sort of red-hot rebel, but this dress stood out for being a little different from the norm.
Sure, it’s metallic and embellished and lacy. Can’t get away from that in 2017, it would seem. But the color’s really interesting – and looks amazing on her. We wouldn’t want to change much, but if we had the power, we’d wish away about half of those floaty ruffles – especially the ones up around the neckline.
Our only other minor crit is that the earrings, pretty as they are, don’t really go all that well.
Still, it’s one of the best Marchesas we’ve seen in some time and she gets major points for managing a look that couldn’t be confused for anyone else’s that night.
He looks good (as per the uzh), but his shirt sleeve is too long. It’s making our eyelids twitch.
