It was a Bumpy Night for Sarah Paulson at the Critics’ Choice Awards 2016

This just looks painful:

We keep trying to like this one, but it’s just not happening. The pearl embellishments are wildly overdone. It looks particularly bad around the sleeves and the hem, which both wind up looking bumpy and a little crudely finished. Then there’s that peplum, which looks more like a napkin than an integrated part of the look. It’s just weird and unflattering.

We’ll give her points for picking something dramatic (like she usually does), and we love the head styling here, but that’s just an odd and unphotogenic dress to our eyes.
