Style Triple Shot: Dakota Fanning runs screaming from color again

Sigh.

And she was doing so well there for a while. In a way we can’t blame her for defaulting to her signature colorless salt and pepper looks. They happen to be on trend at the moment and she happens to be good at working a black. No Fanning looks good when she wanders too far away from the rainbow for too long, but thankfully, nothing here is too disastrous.

Perfectly fine. Had it been in a red or midnight blue, we’d probably be a lot more effusive in our praise, but we can accept her doing a spin on a Morticia dres.

Enh. Ditch the Tevas for metallic kicks, put one of those satin Gucci varsity jackets over it, and we’ll talk. Right now, it’s generic and a little stale.

Sorry, girl. But if you’re going to take color out of the style equation you should at least pick something fresh or dramatic to wear.
