Julianne Moore, working that mid-Century drag once again, on the Set of “Suburbicon”

Posted on October 18, 2016

Julianne is spotted on the set of her new movie “Suburbicon” directed by George Clooney in Los Angeles, California.

At some point, you’ve gotta figure Miss Julianne (who seems to have a lot of projects she’s working on lately) is going to put her foot down and say, “Enough with the ’50s housewife roles!”

But apparently that day hasn’t come yet.

In a way we can’t blame her or the people who constantly cast her in roles like this. For one, she tends to embody the look of the era perfectly, and for another, she’s one of those extremely rare actresses who can put on ’50s housewife drag and actually come off looking significantly younger in it. We don’t know how she manages it, because it’s a given that mid-Century period costuming is usually very aging for most modern actresses. January Jones looked about ten years older when she was in Betty Draper drag, but somehow, when Julianne puts on a shirtwaist dress and takes out her rollers, you’d think she was a decade younger at least.

The Uggs are hilarious. The costume shoes are hideous.
