Brie Larson attends the premiere of “Free Fire” at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.
Wow. Girlfriend really brought it.
When she was poledancing for an Oscar she wasn’t wearing stuff this notable. Is it pretty? Well…
Put it this way: It’s “McQueen Pretty.” It’s certainly not pretty in a traditional sense, but it’s extremely bold and slightly odd, which makes it a damn good choice for the red carpet. If we could edit anything out, it would be the black lace, which is coming off heavy and distracting. It looks more like fur than lace, the way it’s used here. And while we get that she was going for a sort of high-fashion runway look with her head styling, we think it does her no favors here.
But big kudos to her for choosing this dress. A lot of ladystars would’ve run screaming from it in terror. Despite our problems with a few elements, we can’t really hate any red carpet style choice that speaks of boldness and an ever-so-slight non-conformity.
More of this, please, Brie. It suits you really well. But you need to get more of a handle on the hair/makeup front.
