She should sue whatever bride picked this for her bridesmaids.

    • SugarSnap108

God, I wish there were bridal lawsuits. I’d be a wealthy woman right now.

  • Beardslee

I think she likes this dress more than this dress likes her.

  • Sarah

That’s a baaad cut, and the accessories are worse, if that’s even possible.

  • SewingSiren

Thrifty store chic . In a good way. And anything called a Dali clutch has my rapt attention .

  • gabbi

Clearly she was going for Tiffany blue, but she ends up fading into the backdrop in an ugly dress. At least that makes it harder to see.

    • JLou

There should be a new rule for stylists: after ascertaining the color of the backdrop for the red carpet/photoshoot, said stylist should endeavor to choose a primary color for the stylee’s clothing that will complement the backdrop, knowing that matching it is impossible under differing lighting conditions.

      Naomi – your stylist failed.

    • 3boysful

Not to mention it makes her dress look dirty.

    • Sam Smith

I was hoping there was some reason for this mess of a dress, that was the only thing I could think of as well.

    • SketchyCat

My initial thought was “Pointiest on point ever.” In this case, that’s not a compliment.

  • PhillyDeb

Kind of pretty, but I don’t like the ruffle on the top which distorts the silhouette. The last shot, almost straight-on, is best. I like the romanticism of it. And she pretty much looks good in anything.

  • Wink

Make it knee-length, and lose the embroidered/embellished “scarf” thingy.

  • MilaXX

Cute but I dislike the scarfy bit hanging down.

  • Timber

The clutch looks like a Bolex camera. This dress would be great subtext for an arty documentary filmmaker.

  • Monabel

This photographs both faded and grimy. Oh, dear. (Also wispy and shapeless, but at least that coordinates with the hair.)

  • Anna

    NO.

And that hairstyle is positively heinous.

    • charlotte

It’s very “Lady Diana after a bender”.

  • I dunno, it’s not awful. It’s not great but it’s not awful.

    • bitchybitchybitchy

A more supportive bra might help, but this pallid green-blue is not Naomi’s friend

  • Gatto Nero

The side view is pretty awful.
As is the front view, on second thought.
So many things wrong with this look.

  • Tanya Wade

When you really really REALLY want to match the backdrop.

  • KinoEye

No. Who thought it was a good idea to wear Tiffany Blue to a Tiffany event? It’s not even clever, just totally unoriginal.

    • Little_Olive

      Lupita would have aced this.

  • ashtangajunkie

Her face looks great and I love her earrings. Then it all falls apart.

  • Lily

This is one way to match the event you’re dressing for. That said, there’s lining throughout, no sternum, not enough in the way of sideboob to be bothered and it’s neither black or lace, and her head looks lovely. I do wish the dress were more edited, though. There’s a bit too much ruffle/bedazzle to really make this a werk, or even an attagirl.

  • dustinrhodes

This is doing not nice things to her boobs.

  • A little on the nose, and a shiny nose at that. The dress is limp, overly-precious, and trying to hard.

  • GillianHolroyd

Ruffles ‘n’ pleats, a long bedazzled sash *and* dragging on the floor…awkward.

  • Tracy_Flick

I don’t really mind it, except it seems to be fitting terribly around her midsection.

  • Kate

Why would a designer leave that under arm area open in a dress like this? It’s not an attractive part of the body, too “edgy” for the dress, and poor Naomi cannot wear a bra, which makes the top even sloppier looking. The color is pretty, and her hair and makeup look fantastic.

  • Pennymac

Everything looks wilted. Was it 115 degrees with 100% humidity in New York? This dress is awful.

  • BlairBear

What is with all the sad dresses lately ?

  • Maybe it was on purpose but wearing Tiffany blue to a Tiffany event seems pretty dumb to me. You know you’re going to blend right into the backdrop and look like a floating head and arms, don’t you? Wear a color that looks good against the background, like navy or (if it weren’t Naomi Watts and her blonde head) yellow. C’mon this was an easy one.

  • Imasewsure

Everything has disappeared here except for the outline of her breasts (which is definitely not a good thing)

  • Little_Olive

Something is off. Her roots, for starters.

    • kimmeister

I wouldn’t have even recognized her as Naomi Watts from the thumbnail. Something is very off.

  • minnye

    Oooh, tacky.

  • Eric Stott

Not bad but there is too much of that beaded sash thing

  • HelenofTroy

    That dress looks brunch drunk

  • Tatiana Luján

Lovely colour, unflattering ruffles, Payless shoes.

  • Snailstsichr

    It makes her look lop-sided.

  • A_guy01

Nay-nay, this is a no-no. You look like rich laundry.

  • The Versatile Chef

The dress is going nothing for me, but I am all about the FACE that looks like it has not seen a knife or a needle. Yay! A beautiful Hollywood actress who’s allowed to Look Her Damn Age.

    • oneWEIRDword

She’s had exceptionally good and prudent work.

  • Bellatrix Lestrange

How is it possible that she looked at her reflection and said “yeah this is the look I was going for, I look good” How? Or could it be that everyone made sure she doesnt see a mirror, is that why she’s feeling the dress so much?

  • Pretty color on her tho.

  • Tarquin

Tiffany Blue; a bit ‘on the money’, no?

  • SunDevilWitch

I feel like she was rushed and just grabbed this from Nicole Kidman’s closet with no time for alterations.

  • OrangeChia

    Dear god, what happened here?

  • ssdance

    Florida grandma.

  • oohsparkley!

I think the color is gorgeous on her, but the dress is unflattering with excess ruffle and scarf. Eliminate the hang-y things, hoist the girls and tailor the top and she’s a stunner.

  • anonylind

    That is one cheap-looking Prada.
