Rihanna attends the BRIT Awards 2016 at The O2 Arena in London, England.

We don’t understand. When we hear the words “Armani Privé,” we tend to think “slinky” or “sexy” or “tailored.”

So why is this so unflattering on her? It makes her bust look smaller and her waist look thicker. Giorgio, maybe you should have pulled back a little on the enthickening Swarovski crystals and worried a little more about fit. It’s not even particularly flattering on the model walking the runway. It’s a pretty idea, but it probably shouldn’t be deployed on a gown in this style.

In addition, while the color and sparkle are very pretty on her, we don’t think that lavender actually does much for her. Or maybe we’re just annoyed about the matching eyeshadow and anchor woman hair. Ri, we luvya and we realize you have a superhuman style range, but this may be one of those looks that just isn’t in your wheelhouse.

Granted, we’re not sure in whose wheelhouse it should be.
