Golden Globes: Jennifer Lopez in Giambattista Valli Couture

Posted on January 11, 2016

Jennifer Lopez attends the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Back off, bitches. A diva is walking.

And even though said diva looks (due to the square shoulders and eye-searing yellow) a little bit like one of those placards they put out to warn you that the floor has just been mopped, she nonetheless remains every inch a diva, if for no other reason than her diva-like leg placement skills.

Begrudgingly, we have to admit we like this, though. It’s all a bit over-the-top and costume-y, but damn if this woman doesn’t still know how to create some time-stopping moments on the red carpet. Sure, the shape of it is a bit weird, and yes, she definitely over-did it on the diamonds (as one does), but with J Lo it’s less about being chic in a classically elegant sort of way and more about being the most high-impact J Lo she can be.

What do we think of the hair and face. We thought we’d disagree with that red lip, but the longer we look at it, the more it makes sense to us with this dress.

That is a hard color to wear, however, i think her choices of that interesting lip/nail color and also the color of her hair + bronzer really help to not make her look horrible (as wearing yellow can do to us mortals). To me, however, I am sighing and saying “of course” in that Lea Michele Way…This is as excpected for J-Lo.. nothing new to see here.

    • gotgreyhound

She was aiming for that classic “ketchup and mustard” combo with the lip & nail color paired with the dress. Just that down-home, backyard-cookout feel, as JLo tends to do…!

    • Debra Mandich

I’m not feeling the bronzer. its a little bit aging, or maybe since her face is so dark in contrast to her arms and leg its throwing me… looking at the comments I’m the only one who feels this way 🙂

      • Freynika

The bronzer is the first thing I noticed. It’s applied too heavily and makes her face look pancaked.

        • BetteDavisFan

I didn’t recognize her at first and yes, the eye shadow and bronzed are so aging. I know she doesn’t look her age so I don’t know why she doesn’t fire her makeup artist! )

  • tryinnottobetoojudgy

Angelina did it first. But maybe not as well.

    • jen_vasm

Yeah, that Jolie-leg can be catching. Haaaate the color, but she is doing the best she can with it. I would take those shoes in a heartbeat.

  • Frank_821

yeah. I love the details and design elements but hate the color on her

  • Karen B

2012 called, Angelina wants her leg back.

    • maygoon

      • Geoff Dankert

Yeah, when Melissa McCarthy does the Jolie leg …

    • Sam Smith

Yeah, I thought this was a really high impact look, but the posing brings it way down. I think the makeup is a bit harsh as well, but the dress is working for me.

    • ireneY

But without that peekaboo leg, how would we know it’s really JLO under all that fabric?!

    • kittyvscupcake

Right?! The whole point of a slit that high is to get sexy glimpses of one’s leg while walking…not put it out to roost…or whatever that crazy pose is!

  • Janet B

The butt sling is stumpifying, the color isn’t flattering, and her leg posing is silly.

eta: love her hair and makeup along with the jewelry

    • FrigidDiva

I was trying to figure out what the heck to call that thing in the back and “butt sling” is apt.

    • evave2

You got a way with words, Janet. Butt sling. I don’t like the color at all.

    • maxxman

I thought the same. Lost me at the tushy cup.

  • Scully

“over-did it on the diamonds” oh PLEASE let this be my problem one day.

    • All she needs is a turban and she’s on her way to La Liz.

      • Debra Mandich

I really hope when she is allowed to age (maybe some time in her 50y/o looking 80’s) she’ll go Liz

        • BetteDavisFan

Yes! The iconic Liz. White diamonds and all. I can see JLo going in that direction.

    • girliecue

It’s one of my life goals. And pretty much a styling “get out of jail” card in my eyes.

  • Karen B

I just want gifs of the Minions fluttering about to perfectly drape her train any time she paused. (I say Minions because Oompa Loompahs would clash with the dress)

  • rag254

I hate yellow with all of my soul, but this look makes sense for her. It’s lovely not to see her in something nude and shiny and I adore it.

    • rhymeswithorange

For this reason, this is my favorite thing JLo has ever worn (I usually detest what she wears).

  • Scimommy

I like everything except the color of the dress. Sorry, but it’s kind of ugly. The leg can go back in, we’ve all seen it many, many, MANY times.

  • Tanya Wade

Shoes and lips are killer, the eyeshadow is a bridge too far.

    • your face

The lip color makes the look.

    • The yellow eyeshadow was almost the first thing I noticed, and not in a good way.

    • BetteDavisFan

Yellow and pink eyeshadows rarely work on anyone. They just make people look old or sick.

      • AnneElliot

TLo once described pink eyeshadow as “looking like a baby punched you in the eye.” I can’t remember which celebrity it was, but I do remember almost spitting out my drink on the keyboard, I laughed so hard.

    • Mary Magdalene

That lipstick is not being treated as it should.
That is a GORGEOUS color for her. It’s a gorgeous color, period. You wear that with a little liquid liner and major lashes.

  • blogless

Not to quibble, but does anyone think it makes her legs look short? I can picture this more on a model-type. It’s very dramatic and ordinarily I would hate that color, but she does grab your attention. (If I wore that color, I would turn that color.)

  • latina fey

Angelina did it years ago, dear. Put your leg back.

  • PlethoraofBooks

The color is terrible, and part of the design seems over done. Not in love, but she loved it and that was clear last night.

  • tryinnottobetoojudgy

Also, that’s some Dallas socialite hair there. But, you know, I’ll take it over the skinned-back updo she often defaults to.

  • Anna

I see a carton of Original Egg Beaters.

Funnily enough, I didn’t really see the omelet/egg comparisons with Rihanna’s Met Gala 2015 look, but definitely get liquid egg product here.

  • TerryMarie

Hell, if someone would give me that many diamonds to wear all at once, I’d take ’em, too! (Do not like this color. At all. On anyone.)

  • steph

I actually really like this, she’s covered and not looking tacky, wearing something that is too short or too low cut. Love the hair and face.
The shoes are perfect with dress and considering what she’s worn in the past, this is a winner.

    • Trent

Yeah, this is JLo doing “demure” and “classy,” which is why it seems a bit costumey. She has a new drama on NBC, so she’s doing Serious Actress drag instead of her usual Showgirl Extra. Sadly, it seemed to affect her mood and she looked vaguely depressed whenever the camera cut to her all night. There’s a middle ground, Jenny!

    • Carly Clement

100% agree – those shoes make the look for me and ties everything together!

  • siriuslover

I love the way the dress drapes in the front, but not how it turns into that butt panel in the back. I love yellow, just not this yellow, but somehow she’s making it work. I love her hair. Hate the shoes (if only because my feet hurt just looking at them).

  • twocee

I hate to admit it but I actually loved this look, including the color. It was attention grabbing and memorable, but not in a “good Lord WTF are you doing?” kind of way. And that necklace is stunning.

    • FuhUgh

I saw America Ferrera in a very similar yellow and thought it was a personal best for her. Then JLo swans down the carpet in this, and I could just picture America wanting to go home and change. They both really rocked it, and this seems like a nearly impossible color to wear. Very unusual to see more than one person wearing it well at the same event.

  • kimmeister

I’m not convinced this color works on her. I’m definitely convinced that the yellow eye shadow does not. But I was pleased at it not being sheer or cut down to her navel.

    • The Typing Dead

My thoughts exactly! She’s covered up and wearing a non-skin tone color. Props are due for that alone.

Still… With that particular shade of yellow, you either need to be very pale (like the model) or much darker. The faux-tan really clashes with canary yellow.

  • Joanna

I have to admit that if the title of the post didn’t say “Jennifer Lopez”, I would not have recognized her. She has done something to her eyes that, coupled with the red lipstick, has rendered her unrecognizable to me.

    • Jackie4g

I’m seeing a younger Faye Dunaway.

  • John Bradford

I felt that this was a blah look for J. Lo.! I wanted more sparkle, more glitz and glamour that I know that she can bring. Is seeing the timely death of nude illusion to much for her to handle and this is how she chooses to mourn?? Maybe, maybe not. I just know that aside from the color and the protruding leg, this is not that exciting. Luckily this is only the beginning of the award season and the J. Lo we all know and love is bound to show up and dazzle us as she can do!!

  • BendinIntheWind

Love the whole look, but that color is really not doing well with her skin tone, to my eyes.

  • Danielle West

As much as I hate to admit it, I like this. and it’s so much better than her see-through/barely there dresses. And the ones where I’m afraid she’s going to flash us. Though the leg posing has obviously been done before. And to call this color chartreuse is a bit of a stretch. It’s mustard.

    • Geoff Dankert

When I saw this garment on TV, I thought “mustard” as well. In these still pics, though, I’m getting more of a lemon yellow … which may not be ideal for her (imo), but I don’t mind as much. I like just about everything else, especially the hair/makeup and the accessories.

  • lbl

Like the lip with the dress. Apparently, I’m into that color combination right now because this reminds me of Kristen Stewart’s Fallon look last week and I loved the colors there.

I like this version of JLo much better than the ‘look at how hot I am in my sheer dress’ one. She looks good.

  • Grumpy Girl

Her head looks gorgeous here. No nude lip of the morgue! I love the entire look on her, but I love yellow, and realize it’s a polarizing color.

  • PPP

I usually agree with T&L, but lately it looks like you guys like everything that’s diva and stands out (pretty or not). Don’t like this, don’t like the color, don’t like the dress. Do like the make-up!

  • Monabel

Heavy looking dress in a ghastly color that is wearing her.

  • rissa42210

There is no room for hating on any of that. You go and GET IT, Jenny.

  • Tea Addict

I love all of this! It’s not sheer and we can’t see her cleavage. Of course she feels the need to show some skin thus the leg. But this is very restrained for her. And she looks magnificent !

  • Jaeda Laurez

I love everything about this. The hair, the lip/nail color, and the color- I love it all.

  • KateM

There is a greenish tinge to the color, I think if it were more true mustard, or even slightly orangey it would be a nicer color for her. Otherwise I like it and love the red lip.

  • Bland Gland

You can’t un-tacky JLo. Of course that dress color, those diamonds, and the posing are all TOO MUCH. But that’s her. She’s a glittery fish in a murky pond.

  • schadenfreudelicious

I cannot get onboard with Diva Mustard, but carry on JLo

  • MilaXX

Love the hair & face. Not a fan of the dress, but she is making it work. Pretty sure on anyone else I would hate this.

  • Belle239

I was a bit surprised at her hair style but then decided I liked it. And I agree that the lip and nail color is perfect. I do enjoy her red carpet looks, no matter what, and this was no exception.

  • Kaonashi

I liked this very much! It’s a very “elegant JLo” look for her.

  • ojosazules

I wish we could see what the little cape does in the back. I don’t know about the cape.

    • KLeigh

It’s like tucked in and flounced which is …different.

  • Lauren

I think the hair and face make the whole thing work. The lip makes that color wearable for her. I also thought “Modesty Chic!” when I saw this, though she was walking at the time and and I didn’t see the hip-high slit on the right. And yet, for J Lo, this really is Modesty Chic, no? But for that one glorious leg (and her forearms), she’s entirely covered.

    • Debra Mandich

I’m going to have to steal Modesty Chic.
I didn’t really recognize her till I got to the thigh.

      • Lauren

No, “Modesty Chic” isn’t mine! It’s Tom and Lorenzo’s, of course. In response, I think, to a recent Ellen Pompeo post.

  • colleenjanel

This was one of my favorite looks of the night. This was very covered up for Jenny From the Block, yet still pretty sexy. The color was attention grabbing, and I really liked what’s going on at her neck. I don’t love what it’s doing to her butt, but that’s a minor quibble for me.

I just want the Jolie Leg to go away NOW!!!

  • teensmom99

So many underdone lips at the GGs, that it’s nice to see a red lip providing balance to canary yellows.

  • she looks far better in yellow than america ferrera did!

  • Nancer

Is it ever possible to have too many diamonds? I consider that a rhetorical question. Because of course not. Any way. I think the strong lip and nails were needed with this color. Otherwise, she would have been overshadowed by the dress. As it is, she stands out – and in a good way.

  • KLeigh

When she was presenting the cape neckline was just a skosh off-center and it was so distracting to me. I just wanted to go up there and fiddle until it was perfect. I’d ask where her assistant was but I assume she’s no longer employed.

  • Karen

This was my favorite look of the night. Instantly iconic, beautiful, and memorable. Plus serving face for DAYS.

  • Digging the short hair! What color do you think her hair is?

  • I generally have no use for her but I LOVE this, and I’m not going to look too hard at why.

  • Cheryl

It’s like her stylist tried to class her up for a change, but nope, she had to stick her leg out like that to proclaim ‘look, look, I’m still sexy.’

  • cousinelizabeth

Love the dress and lips. Hate the hair style and the eye make-up. And I am really tired of these pointy nails…ugh

    • Claire

I, too, am very over the pointy nails. They’re never anything but Wicked Witch of the West to me.

  • Lilithcat

    Hate the cape thing.

But it’s good to know she has a leg. I was wondering. Thanks for clearing that up, Jennifer.

  • aslish

She can totally pull this color off, except this hair color is not becoming at all- too ashy or something- and literally ruins the entire look.

  • boweryboy

I’m exhausted just looking at her.

  • GoAwayKardash

Am not her biggest fan so it’s kind of hard to admit – girlfriend looks spectacular, head to toe.

  • She looked great when being interviewed on the red carpet. When her face was ‘active’, and not the posing face. Quite elegant.
Some of the photos need colour correcting, I believe the true shade is
probably the 5th photo, 1 and 4 are especially off. The model being a
redhead can pull this shade of yellow off.

  • Lila

She is absolutely KILLING IT with this look. The color looks amazing with her skin tone, and the deeper berry is so old Hollywood. I think this is the best she has looked in a very long time — tasteful but still true to her diva self. For her this is a WERQ.

  • Yoshio

She looks fabulous. I don’t think there is such as thing as too many diamonds but that’s just me. The side view photo where she is walking away smiling to herself says it all. She knows she nailed it.

  • I thought this was the wrong shade of yellow for her…on stage in particular it made her bronze skin take on a green patina. It’s a striking look, but just not the right colour for her. Imagine it in more of an umber or gold or copper and pow!

    • Stuart Miller

Agree, but it’s still QUITE a statement.

    • rumsey

That yellow against the red carpet reminds me of the colors used for the signs over their doors by New York pizza parlors and hardware stores.

  • f

I just love that she is not half-naked for once!

  • susan6

Hate the dress color. Love the diamonds. Makeup makes her look a bit tired; maybe its the yellowish color of the eyeshadow or the aggressive contouring.
Trying to figure out what color to change the dress to in order to showcase the awesome bling. Making the dress black would veer into Elvira territory. Dark blue? Dark green?

  • frosty dufour

she looks beautiful, very 1940s. Dislike her eye makeup – too much highlighting in the inner corners, and I’ve never been a fan of her hair highlights matching her skin tone.

  • appliquer

I wonder how long she practices those different poses?

  • KimThore

My kingdom for the shoes…having said that the leg pose is a la Jolie but then again I’d probably throw my leg over my shoulder to…SHOW OFF THE SHOES!! 🙂 That color is a hard one to pull off but she seems to be doing just fine in all her canary realness…

  • Stuart Miller

I am over-awed by anyone who can even walk in those heels, let along parade down a red carpet!

  • FrigidDiva

I’d like this a lot better if the “cape” wasn’t tucked into the back of the dress, it’s just such an odd design element.

  • Wink

Almost any other color would have been better, especially a jewel tone. Imagine this dress in emerald, ruby or sapphire (instead of Big Bird yellow).

  • SewingSiren

Did she just get off a horse?

  • bitchybitchybitchy

I love that photo of JLo with her hand up to her face-it’s as if she’s thinking “Why must I deal with lesser mortals?”
JLo is serving up JLo divatude here.

  • KittieLynnNYC

I suppose with a dress color that bold, an equally bold lip was needed. However, her makeup person didn’t do a very good job of disguising the fact that she looks straight-up exhausted under all that.

    • Debra Mandich

I thought the bronzer was aging her but it could be she needs a nap at a spa weekend.

  • lunchcoma

The leg bugs, but I like it! It’s interesting, because she goes so often for sexy that I forget she’s entirely able to work a dramatic look hat’s not as high on the sex or the sparkles (obviously, there are still sparkles, but I would have expected her to turn up in a low cut metallic).

  • Angelina leg aside, I thought she mostly knocked it out of the park.

  • Bethany Joy

LOVE THIS. Stunning face and understated hair (which is a first for JLo) that lets the dress take center stage. She looks fresh and young. And that color is fantastic on her. I did a little gasp when I saw this last night.

  • I don’t like the color on her. And the cape looks a little too much like a cardigan draped over her shoulders from the side.

  • fursa_saida

    I LOVE IT.

  • Rhonda Shore

Seems influenced by Rihanna’s Met Ball look.

  • ashtangajunkie

I don’t love the hairstyle and I don’t think that is her colour, but I like the overall look very much. Full DIVA is exactly what I want from JLo.

  • Yes to the red lip, yes to the hair (because the only updo I associate with her is the supertight topknot which I don’t want with this). No to the very orangey eyeshadow and a smaller no to the false lashes – they aren’t the right shape for her.

  • GemFemme

I’m not digging the yellow on the eyes. It makes her look like she’s suffering from Hep. C.

  • marlie

I like this. This is about as classy and tasteful as JLo is going to get, and I appreciate it. I also MUCH prefer the photo of her smiling, compared to the sexy vamping photos. She really needs to rein that in.

  • rubyclaire

Love the dress – is it a touch too tight in the chest? Nobody has brought that up but it was my first thought. Regardless, she looks great in it, and the red lip is fabulous.

  • A_guy01

Angelina Jolie Called, J-Lo. She wants her “Leg BAM!” back.

  • MightyMarshal

The nail color choice was inspired but the overdrawn lip was not. All of the accessories are beautiful but too matchy. Pepper the bracelet with some emeralds and swap the clutch for something tortoise shell. I like the shoes but I feel like they call back to the necklace too much. Maybe a slightly more demure d’orsay in deep blue or a sandal ala the runway.

  • something about the makeup isn’t working for me; maybe too shiny?

  • Lorelei_D

LOVE her hair, love her smile in the last pic. The overall elegance here is undermined by the cheesy length of the nails and tacky leg deployment. Lose those two quibbles and this is great.

  • Kathie

GURRRRL…if you need that much bronzer and self tanner you cannot do that color. I will, however, steal all the accessories.

  • Leandra

I really like the hair and makeup. I like the Diva-ness of the dress but am just not a fan of that yellow color. I would have loved it in a jewel tone.

  • happygolucky7

It’s almost impossible to pull off that color, and she’s doing it. I would have looked like a sickly mustard bottle. So any other objection seems to fade–I don’t really like the dress, but the cape is gorgeous and the effect, on the whole, is pure glamour, in the best way.

  • Marisa

Is that the canary yellow diamond engagement ring she got from Ben Affleck?? If not, it’s very similar. I hate that there is a part of my brain that remembers stuff like that…

  • Can just a leg be “of course”? I like the look overall, but her right leg popping out is “of course.”

  • Blackcatbitch

That Angelina Jolie leg stance thing has made every other lady star a damn fool on the red carpet.

  • Judy_J

I swear to god, when I saw the thumbnail, I thought this was Faye Dunaway. Really.

  • Denise Rambo

GOD I hate those stiletto nails!

  • Freynika

Heidi Klum, this is how you do a yellow gown.

  • Myra Amler

I don’t think this color is doing great things for her skin tone, she looks a bit jaundiced.

  • Truthiness2U

Diva dress, diva attitude. And not in some desperate sheers or nude dress. I’d much rather have this kind of diva-tude than the normal try-hard sex kitten she does. Plus I like the colour of the dress, and it’s overall drama.

  • Jacob Daniel

Girl, this is not the perfect color for you. Even chartreuse would be better! The rest, however, is perfection.

  • VCR1

Wow, I like it, much better than the usual naked dress she wears

  • Jenna621

I was pleasantly surprised she went with something actually a bit classier than her normal “I still want to be 26!!!” look. I think she looks quite pretty but still JLo.

  • pamasutra

she was so covered up I hardly recognized her!

  • AlisonHendryx

What I don’t like about the face is how thick and paint-like the make-up is, but that is in line with the entire look. no half-meaures or “natural” here.

  • cakewalkqueen

Given her history of wearing sparkly lycra bandages, I’m calling this a win.

  • MissAmynae

She’s one of the few people who can wear that color. Her coloring is exactly right for it, so, for me, that color is perfect on her. Thank god for that red lip. One of her personal best looks. Its covered, but fits very well. Still has her drama elements, but in an old-school “DIVA Can’t look away” way, not the “look at me, look at me, see I’m sexy!” way.

  • ktr33

    J-Lo in top J-Lo form.

  • She killed this. She needs to embrace this side of her diva more often. It is 10000x sexier and more interesting. There’s a bit of a Joan Crawford vibe happening here but in a very good way.

  • NG

IMO, this dress has so much going on that one mistake in proportions can derail it. For me, that mistake was the length of the cape, falling right at the gathering of the sarong style skirt. I think her face looks gorgeous and her shoes and jewelry are perfect.

    • Little_Olive

For me that mistake was the fitted, gathered tush treatment. It cuts her in half -and the lower half looks shorter.
Face gorgeous, yes. Leave it to her to abandon her usual monochrome, “I have sinus issues” face at the right moment.

      • NG

I have to agree. Keep the cape and the train, get rid of the gathering and it’s a great look and one only someone like JLo can pull off in that color. She has a great bottom; it doesn’t need overworking

  • cocohall

How do you make sure you get premium placement in all the gown coverage of the Golden Globes when you aren’t nominated for anything? Wear an eye-searing and polarizing shade of yellow. Check. Wear a cape AND a train. Check. Jam your leg out and pose until you think you may require a hip replacement. Check. Wear nearly half your weight in diamonds. Check. She is forcing the hand of every magazine editor that might be tempted to cut her from their “Love it or Hate it” coverage through sheer force of will. It is completely beside the point if it is stylish or pretty. She is DELIVERING the BRAND people. Amateurs should step off.

  • LibKat

Please step away from the bronzer. With the lighter hair color, she seems to be trying to make her hair and forehead match.

  • kbeech

I may be wrong but I credit Michelle Williams for starting the red lip/ yellow dress trend and no one has ever done it better, despite the many attempts. In fact it seems like the default styling choice these days, forgetting that so much of the impact came from how unexpected it was. J.Lo looks beautiful and I have to commend her for knowing when enough is enough and putting the sheer dresses away (at least for now – please never actually change!), but, as always, MW holds the crown.

  • Imasewsure

I kind of love all of this, even the weird makeup… the Jolie leg is fine because JLo has been sporting that drag for ages anyway… Angie didn’t teach this Diva a thing

  • FridaStaire

  • StillGary

I didn’t love this outside on the red carpet but when I saw how perfectly suited it was to her co-presenter, Mr. Rock in Marrooooon velvet I had to love the whole thing. Don’t pop out your leg socket tho, Hon!

  • oneWEIRDword

    I love it. Love!

LOVE the side-part hair and makeup, 40s retro glamazon with the cape shoulder and everything. I don’t know what shade of yellow that is, sometimes it looks like neon and sometimes butterscotch but I’m grateful it isn’t a cliched red or boring beige. I love this look for her. I’m ignoring the Jolie leg.

  • The Detonator

I hope she gets enough money together for that adenoid surgery. It must be hell having to breathe through your mouth all the time.

Ugly, unflattering makeup, soccer mom hair.

  • titaness25

You go, ma’am. Angelina the shit out of that dress.

  • Indigo54

Love it except for the cape.

  • kim bunchalastnames

… and, somewhere in the night, angelina jolie’s right leg stirs, sensing a disruption in the force. facing that darkness, the leg rises, and makes a silent vow to go toe-to-toe with that challenger when the time comes.

  • Melissa Maladroite

I really love the shoe choice actually. The make-up too. I like the dress, I’m just not really sure that’s her colour? Though she so rarely wears brights, that may be what’s throwing me off

  • quiltrx

I don’t like the lip/nail color, and I hate the color of the dress. The style is okay in a Joan-Collins-y way. Her hair is really good, and I love the necklace and shoes. So I guess I’m about 50/50 on this one.

  • lifeisastory

I don’t think this is the right shade of yellow for her.

  • Christopher

Bad color on her and too much dress….did her makeup gays forget her eyes? She looks ready for a nap.

  • Annmarie Kane

Picture #2 – I’m imagining a small army of minions kneeling at her feet fanning out that train…

  • Nika E

It’s not sheer so…. Good Job.

  • Shawn EH

America Ferrera didn’t look great in her yellow dress. J-Lo looked fabulous in hers!

  • DeTrop

Not fond of this look at all. While I applaud the fact that she’s actually wearing a gown rather than having a few pieces of material here and there, this is too much. I really do not like her hair and make-up either. She’s usually so beautifully made up.

  • MyFavoriteColorIsGlitter

Oh no. No. That color on her is AWFUL.

  • anyess

On my computer this colour has an almost acid green tinge, so it’s harsh on her. I think a yellow that leaned more towards a marigold colour would be gorgeous on her. This dress may very well be that colour–who knows, when you’re dealing with computers? The lip and nail colours are good, too (but the lip would have been better in a matte finish as opposed to that glossy 70’s look). I love it all except for the hilariously posed leg. That will never stop being dumb.

  • Sumatra

Does she have a cramp in her leg?

  • All I can say which is positive about this is, she’s not flashing inappropriate body parts through a veil of lace and illusion netting. The color is horrible on her, her makeup was applied with a trowel, and the hair looks like a bad wig.

  • AnneElliot

I have an irrational hatred of yellow, but she’s pulling it off.

  • oohsparkley!

    You look MAHvalous dahling!

  • kazibear

    She looks ridiculous.

  • jilly_d

That color is utterly awful; I can’t see the dress for it. And girl, put your leg away. Now.

  • Fräulein K.

Love the cut, especially the cape, mostly like the make-up, although the lipstick makes everything else look a tiny bit too monochrome, perhaps? Not enough contrast, perhaps because all the yellow is messing with her skintone a little bit. I like a a dark red lip against a very clean make-up, though. But it all calls for more done and polished hair.

  • poorellensmith

Gorgeous dress in a regrettable color.

  • kittyvscupcake

That color is horrendous, but she is still gorgeous. She doesn’t seem to enjoy the “divaness” as much as she used too. Must be very uncomfortable.

  • Chloé

    She’s wearing a mini cape…

  • JynxTheCat

    Nope. Condiment colored overdone.

  • love the makeup and nails

  • Ugly Casanova

It’ll be funny when someone slips on the banana peel.

  • Patty Frost

GAWG! Never turn down the diva, billions of self conscious women do that everyday.
