SO. AWFUL. She should have gone with the “NO” side of the clutch. And any other dress. And any other shoes.

    • HighFashionJunkie

i know, she usually wears nice things, this is a big let down!

      • carolina_dawn

        She has lost her way.

  • That clutch should say “WHY?!” instead.

    • Wink

      Or “WTF.”

  • kimmeister

Were half of the attendees at this event told that the dress code was “nothing is to go with anything else”?

  • GillianHolroyd

No, I like it, except for the length: to the floor or above the knee. As always, hair and face are perfection.

    • Carly Clement

I like it too! I ove the colour on her!

    • Yes. Her fashion bitch stance commands me to love it. This would be awful on anyone else.

  • MarinaCat

If she got rid of the sheer panel, lost the sleeves, lengthened the dress to just above the knee and didn’t have the cutouts, I’d like it. I guess I don’t like it. (The staff at TLo, Inc must be ordering dinner in at the conference table tonight.)

    • Wink

I’m with you… I would like it if it was a completely different dress.

  • gotgreyhound

I would have gone along with the cutouts and weird shoulders, but the see-through skirt is a bridge too far. And a weird length. Nope!

  • OrangeChia

I’d like the shoes with a black cigarette pant and a cute top. Everything else, and I do mean all of it, is ridiculous.

  • joannanyc

She needs to turn that clutch around

  • Little_Olive

That is one UGLY dress. No way around it.

    • BayTampaBay

I agree this is one FUGLY dress!

  • bessann28

if the skirt were lined, I actually think it would be okay. Or at least passable.

    • kerryev

I came here to say pretty much the same thing. If the sheer stopped at the stripes’ hemline, I would like this mess.

  • StrandedFashionista

One too many cut outs and one too many design details. As a sort of baroque long-sleeved mini it could have been really cute.

  • AndieJay

For a split second I thought TLo had added voting buttons.

    • kimmeister

Those would be very cute voting buttons.

  • glanor mandy

Her feet look like she is in pain.why do that to yourself when the shoes are not even worth the effort.?

    • kimmeister

Not to mention that those shoes make her feet look enormous!

  • Gatto Nero

Have I ever seen a Preen dress I liked? I don’t think so.
And that clutch is a “NO.”

  • cowper

    Fashion victim.

    • MaggieMae

When I see her, it’s wow, gorgeous! Or, it’s *&^%$ she’ll wear anything with a designer label on it.

  • teensmom99

There’s some crazy shit even Diane can’t pull off.

  • heartbot

I feel like the dress COULD be okay…if it didn’t have the cutouts, the sheer overlay hanging to her ankles, and if the bottom layer weren’t black and white stripes. Just plain white would have been better. I don’t understand the accessories at all.

  • AnneElliot

ENOUGH with the sheer skirts and the cutouts. Even Helen of Troy can’t make this work (though I kinda love the shoes).

    • Jackie4g

I like the shoes, but with another outfit, entirely.

  • oneWEIRDword

She’s never boring and never phones it in; that I can appreciate. Interesting look!

  • Kaonashi

What am I looking at? Black and white stripes with a gold floral overdress and red shoes? Yikes.

  • paginatrix

All the horizontal stripes. They do not flatter.

  • DesertDweller79

Disappointing. I don’t really like any of it. Ah well. I’m sure she’ll be back to fabulous next time.

  • MilaXX

I don’t like any of this and the closer I look at the many details, the more I dislike it.

    • Jackie4g

See, there are at least 6 elements to dislike. That’s just crazy.

  • MRC210

Side cutouts and cold shoulders are too much, choose one or the other, or preferably neither. Her hair is lovely though.

  • The single side cutout makes my eyes twitch. WHY. (It’s not the only bad thing, but it’s the first thing I see when I look at it, so.)

  • alyce1213

Cold shoulders, side cutouts, sheer skirt over mini, slit . . . did they miss anything? Just terrible. And the accessories do not make sense.

    • kimmeister

They also included pattern overlaid on pattern.

  • This dress looks like the embodiment of a designer’s breakdown.

  • Ced

    Underwhelming

  • steph

    OH HELLS NO..

  • Lily

This is all over the place. I love the clutch and shoes, though, but none of it goes together.

  • boweryboy

The designer is punking us, right? And Diane is in on the joke, right? That’s my only explanation for this hot mess. It seems like such a waste of craftsmanship and materials if the outcome is this.

  • Renaissance_Man_ATL

    That’s a lotta look…

  • smayper

TOO many elements. All fighting. All losing.

  • Starts with K

Those shoes deserve so much better.

    • HarleyB Lady of Yorkshire

For starters, they deserve prettier feet.

  • Imasewsure

When I thought I was scrolling down to a mini I was about to say it was a bit loud but kind of working…. and then the bottom 1/3 of the dress appeared… and then the shoes…..

  • Ann VerWiebe

There are about 6 too many things happening here.

  • Miyanda Nehwati

:0 I like everything except the shoes…yeah I don’t even know what life is rn.

  • runjuliet

    ….

    nice shoes?

  • please tell me this is some sort of 80’s Halloween costume?

  • bitchybitchybitchy

Kudos, Diane-you managed to combine two of the most irritating, overdone trends in one dress-cutouts and the idiotic sheer overskirt. Now go back to your closet and think about what you’ve done.

  • KiP07

Not even her usual magic can get me to like this ensemble. Her face looks great though–good call on the makeup front at least.

  • Bowildhaze

In 2050 when kids are told to “dress like the Teens” – harking back to 2015, they will look for a dress with 1) cutouts 2) annoying sheer panels 3) high/low skirt 4) glitter stripes and those annoying side strap shoes. Yep, this is the killer outfit for Throwback Teens!

  • quiltrx

I will have to say that my interest was piqued, momentarily, by the idea of a *patterned* (in this case, striped) lining under a sheer overlay. But this is just so aggressively ugly. Interesting idea in my head, but the rendering of it hurts my eyes.
And those shoes go with nothing, and the clutch is too casual for anything else.
Sometimes I think she just wears whatever someone throws at her, as long as it gets her talked about, one way or the other.

  • PastryGoddess

none of these things go with each other.

  • oohsparkley!

If only it didn’t have the longer sheer part, it might have been fine. That sheer ruins it!

  • Monabel

    Junky and fussy.
