Darlings, you may have encountered a sporting event yesterday. And you may have, roughly halfway through said sporting event, encountered one Katy Perry, putting on a fashion show while yelling a lot. Let’s assess.
Katy Perry performs during the Pepsi Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona wearing costumes designed by Jeremy Scott for Moschino and custom LaDuca booties adorned with Swarovski crystals.
Better on paper. That harness around her waist pretty much ruined the line of the dress. She’d have been better off in something that didn’t attempt to camouflage the safety aspects. She wore those glitter booties all through the show, but they really don’t go with this look at all.
Cute and song-appropriate, but we fear for anyone who was on or near any kind of opiates during this segment.
LOVE this look, but here’s where Katy made her biggest mistake. She let Missy Elliott take the stage and subsequently got blown out of the stadium. Girl, you’re cute and all, but you don’t go up against Missy Elliott unless you’re sure you can bring it. You didn’t bring it.
Super cute look, though.
Basic, messy and unflattering. We’re really surprised by this and her opening outfit. She’s usually so good with stagewear but these two looks were terrible.
And since everyone asked us our opinion about this one over the weekend, we might as well include:
As costumey, pop-star looks go, this works well enough, but those red pumps don’t go at all. And we hate the placement of the footballs across the front. Turns out, you can’t just put them on a pair of boobs and expect it to look sexy.
