We’ve recently come to the conclusion that her red carpet style, while mostly impeccable and far more tasteful than a lot of her cohorts’, is a little on the boring and safe side. She’s doing Nicole Kidman without any of the bold experiments that made Nicole a red carpet legend (for a time, at least). She looks beautiful and it’s a lovely, glamorous dress on her. No complaints, really. But she doesn’t push herself enough. From a style perspective, Anne Hathaway was never better than when she was poledancing like mad for that Oscar. We need to see a little bit of that on Miss Jessica here. Some edgier looks that get people talking instead of always defaulting to the pretty movie star drag.
We feel we’re going to be yelled at now.
