Reese Witherspoon in Stella McCartney at the “Wild” London Premiere

Reese, it’s all very nice when you smile for pictures, but we’re telling you, you really come alive when you’ve got your standard “I SO freaking deserve this” face on.

The Bitter Kittens have a longstanding hatred of any garment with a Stella McCartney label on it, but we kinda dig this dress. Like most Stella joints, it’s overdesigned, but considering how boring most red carpet wear is these days, we appreciate that she and Reese are giving us something to look at.

HOWEVUH.

We have been over the sheer trend for a while now (although not as over it as we are the freaking lace trend), but this is the second dress this week that had a sheer patch running horizontally along the stomach and THAT, kittens, is a thing up with which we will not put. Honestly, even among the thin and toned, it’s an awkward and odd look. If you close up that sheer gap between the bodice and the skirt, the whole look would improve tremendously. Aside from that, we don’t mind the rest of the dress too much – from the front. But that is the worst walking-away dress we’ve seen in a while. The front is overdesigned, but the back is just ugly. Who the hell wants moth wings on their ass?
