We thought we loved this, but now we’re not so sure.

The fabric’s gorgeous, right? Eye-catching and fabulous; the blues all look great on her, and we’re always happy to see a print on the RC. But the shape’s a little odd. That peplum’s so large that we’re not even sure we can call it a peplum. It’s more like a mini-skirt with a little growing to do. We’re not strictly anti-peplum the way some of the Bitter Kittens are, but generally speaking, they shouldn’t be deployed if they’re going to make the wearer look bottom-heavy. The bottom half is essentially two full skirts on top of each other. Which wouldn’t be so bad except the bust seems designed to make her look much smaller in that area than she is. The whole thing tends to distort her shape. If you removed the peplum and let out the bust a little, this would look perfect on her.

Love the hair and makeup, but the shoes and bag feel like afterthoughts.
