Our initial impulse was to gasp, but that’s because it’s dramatic and being worn at the moment by a world-class dress-wearer. From far away or at a glance, it works, but when you actually stop to look at it, it looks like a dress made out of a ski parka. It’s just too big and bulky and shiny. That big honking zipper does not look chic to us at all. No, Cate. Not even you. Unless you accessorize this dress with skis and goggles, which would be kind of fabulous if you were in a chase scene in a James Bond movie or something.
We feel like that belt is offering us three choices and we’re supposed to make one.
