I…don’t love it. She kind of looks like a lego person with a block on top and a trapeze on bottom. Plus, her shoes are ugly. Sorry Reese. It’s an out.

    • sienna elm

It still looks like a tennis get-up to me.

      • MoHub

I would love to see her play tennis in those shoes!

    • rihana546

just as Leonard answered I am taken by surprise that a single mom can make $7907 in a few weeks on the internet . check my source ………………………. is.GD/RnTo2R

  • Sarah

Excellent. The fuchsia and white combo really shows up well juxtaposed with asphalt.

    • Glam Dixie

She would pretty much have to plan out all of her outfits to go with an asphalt background, it’s seems to be her favorite place to parade about.

    • Jessi03

Of course they do! She’s America’s Parking Lot Princess!

  • MilaXX

For some reason the jingle to the Charlie perfume ad is going through my head now.

♫ “There’s a fragrance that’s here today, and they call it — Charlie! A different fragrance that thinks your way, and they call it – Charlie! Kinda young, kinda now, Charlie! Kinda free, kinda wow! Charlie! The kind of fragrance that’s gonna stay, and it’s here now — Charlie!” ♫

    • Karen Belgrad

And I have Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” in my head. (I blame the shirt/lipstick pairing)

      • Glam Dixie

Hiya Barbie! Hi Ken! Wanna go for a ride? Sure! Thanks a lot Karen, thanks a lot.

        • Karen Belgrad

“Come on Barbie, let’s go party” is the sole lyric on repeat in my head…

          • Glam Dixie

I have 3 daughters. I can sing you the whoooooooole song.

          • Karen Belgrad

I have no kids, but have no problem asking if you want to build a snowman
(awaits virtual smack I know is coming)

      • MilaXX

        The difference a generation makes.

        • Karen Belgrad

Lol, I’m of an older generation than both!

    • MoHub

      Shelley Hack redux.

  • decormaven

Hey, you forgot to button a button on the shirt!

  • wisenhar

Oh, Reese, honey, the same skirt multiple times? For shame.

    • kimmeister

I’m glad she broke up the 2 laser cut items though.

  • Vegas Girl

    I loathe those shoes!

    • Sam Smith

I sported very similar ones in 1996, and yes they are and were horrendous.

  • higgledypiggledy

And that, Miss Swift, is how you carry a bag on the asphalt runway. With stuff in it. And with sassy confidence and sparkle.

    • KateShouldBeWorking

“Sparkle” is exactly the word. Ms Witherspoon is the human equivalent of goddam jazz hands.

    • Joey Taxes

You lose some “natural” points when the contents of your purse match the outfit…

  • Karen Belgrad

Is she now going to do her parking lot tour in character? If today is Elle Woods, I can’t wait for June Carter Cash and Tracy Flick!

  • KT

I loathe the shoes, but everything else looks cute in a very Reese kind of way. Also, how do I get legs like that?

    • venusvelvet

Well, she does do a lot of walking to her car.

  • Fyolette

    Legally Blonde ’14.

…let us not speak of the shoes.

    • Leah Elzinga

      beeeeeend and SNAP!

      • KateShouldBeWorking

Bending in that skirt oughta do it.

  • SewingSiren

    That’s one sloppy tuck.

    • SugarSnap108

Sloppy tuck and there’s a missed button in the back. What happened in the car before she hit the lot?

      • E_bee

I’m thinking the makers of that pink shirt, whoever they are, are reconsidering their decision not to pay her to wear it.

        • EveEve

I’m thinking the shirt wasn’t part of the paid advertisement, or else her PR person would have sent out a press release about it and TLo would have known what it was.

  • Glam Dixie

Still schooling T-Swizzle, one parking lot at a time.

  • Anna

Taylor, if you’re gonna sidewalk tour, make sure your purse is full.

    • decormaven

      Words to live by.

    • makeityourself

Yes, with a coordinating silk thing tucked ever-so-carefully into the top of your tote to match your blouse.

Speaking of said blouse, Miss Flick probably wouldn’t be grinning so much if she knew she has missed a button.

    • kimmeister

For extra Barbie points, match all of its visible contents to your outfit.

  • Darcy H

Ok I’m totally loving how, in the summer of Taylor and the Empty Bag Parade, Ms. Reese was like “honey bags are for holding sh*t, that’s how you appeal to the common people”.

    • Shibori Girl

      I caught that too!

  • Thomas

Gurl, stay away from Barbie pink. It’s WAY too on point for you.

    • Little_Olive

  • alyce1213

From the waist up, it’s fine. I think she should give the skirt to her daughter and discard the horrible open-toed white mules.

  • Danielle

I’d sell my kidney for that skirt.

  • guyfromhoboken

she wore the matching top with this skirt a couple of weeks ago..shame on her for letting the paparazzi catch her in this twice!

  • MandyM

The skirt’s a repeat and she wore it better last time. This time she didn’t quite finished getting dressed before hitting the sidewalk.

    • MilaXX

I think the repeat is intentional. It proves she recycles her clothes like normal folks.

    • Adrianna Grężak

She’s probably trying to get use out of it before it falls out of style – I bet we’re all gonna look at that skirt silhouette in a few years and think “we thought THIS looked good?” the same way I cringe at photos of flared jeans

      • CatLady

Who cares if a particular silhouette is in style or not? Wear whatever’s flattering and you’ll always look good.

        • Adrianna Grężak

My point is that this skirt isn’t flattering on most people, especially if you’re short – your torso disappears and hips look wider. It seemed like every 20-something assistant wore a black version of this type of skirt when I photographed Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Februrary, and they looked like cup cakes with ballerina buns

          • Grumpy Girl

What a delightful image: cupcakes with ballerina buns. Except they were in black? So Halloween cupcakes?

          • CatLady

Which means we agree. :) I’m all for wearing flattering shapes and colors rather than blindly following the latest trend.

  • TinyDynamo

She looks like she just had a super tipsy quickie before heading into the parking lot. Yowza.

And those shoes need to die.

  • Adrianna Grężak

I actually don’t mind the shoes. I’ve had enough blisters on my heel to embrace the design. But this look is just too twee and precious for me

  • International Model

    Skipper realness.

  • LadyVimes

Now THIS is how you sidewalk strut, Taylor honey.

  • karywin

Those shoes are a crime against feet.

  • Imasewsure

It’s fake breezy I suppose but designed for a younger person perhaps (she says gingerly)…

  • Fordzo a.k.a. Fancy Mukluks

    That’s a whole lotta stuff.

  • mickiemonkey

    “Kiss my ass” face.

  • ashtangajunkie

    The Master.

  • Laylalola

    She is so ridiculously fake.

  • Dan_In_NYC

If you told me this was stills from Legally Blonde 3, I would believe you.

  • marlie

I wish the top were completely tucked into the skirt, and the shoes are kind of ugly. Still, though, this is a typical Reese sidewalk tour getup. And hasn’t she worn that skirt before?

Eta: I just realized that one of the buttons on the back of her blouse is undone. Stars – they’re just like us.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

She needed a cute cigarette pant and sandal with that top, or even skinnies and a cute flat. That skirt skews juvenile and the shoes go orthopedic. She looks great from the waist up!

  • MichelleRafter

I’m liking the white shoes more than I should like white shoes.

  • OffToSeeHim

I see she heard you mocking her about her purse being empty! Hate that skirt, but want those shoes with every fiber of my being.

  • Mothra

Reese! Reese! Over here! Reese, you look great–what’s the your bag?

  • julesj

She has stuff, albeit pink, hanging out of her bag. Does that mean she actually uses the bag? It is not empty (like T. Swift)?

  • bringbackbeatles

I love it! Especially the skirt. I don’t care if people think it’s tween. I love the pink and the bag. And, this isn’t really my style, but I love it!

  • NurseEllen

I have to admit, I saw the title of the post (Reese Witherspoon in Lovers + Friends in Beverly Hills) and I thought that was the title of a new movie: “Lovers + Friends in Beverly Hills”. I scrolled down expecting on-set shots. HAH!
This is very…..perky. Reese is, in fact, oozing “perky”. I loathe perky. And next time, make sure all the buttons are fastened–yes, even in the back–before you go on your parking lot photo call.

  • crash1212

She’s rocking that pink. I don’t think that’s her skirt though…it’s too full or poofy or just doesn’t seem to fit properly. Haaaaaate the shoes. Excellent head. I must admit, that first picture made me think of Tracy Flick, big time.

    • kerryev

I think it’s literally her skirt, though, in that she’s worn it before so it’s probably not borrowed just for this, um, occasion.

  • penguinmom

I love that there’s something pink sticking out of her actually-used bag. She coordinated her top and her miscellaneous purse stuff! And she’s coming untucked in a very regular-person way. And love the way she’s palming that cell phone in the last photo.. Gotta love her.

  • Columbinia

What did she just come from that she’s not finished dressing and she’s gritting her teeth beneath those tight smiles?

She’s gonna die when she sees the photos of that untucked blouse and undone buttons.

  • SoAnnaPropriate

Working on her Smiling Bitch Face here. Otherwise nothing to talk about.

  • deech_sea

OMFG The colors of her bag’s contents match her clothes. That’s going too far.

    • eandh99

I’ve seen other pics, that pink is a cardigan she took off and stashed, like a regular person

      • deech_sea

That’s good to know, and shame on me for jumping to conclusions

  • Judih1

Makes her look boxy and short waisted. Do not like

  • evave2

The blouse should either be in or out (I would prefer out myself); I like the shoes. I like the pink of the blouse, very vibrant. I like the skirt, it’s mega cute BUT I don’t think the blouse and skirt go together (especially blouse half-in half-out).

Are purses that actually can function as purses (carry all my crap) coming back into style? I love me a big big purse.

  • PastryGoddess

But other than that she looks fine

  • IngerMereteH

It’s the combo of skirt and top that makes her look boxy, I think. The skirt could work with a more fitted top and the top could work with a pencil skirt, or a longer full skirt with a broader belt. As it is, there is just too much fabric between her bust and her knees.

I love the heels on those shoes – wearable non-stillettos for girls who like to sport heels in their everyday lives, but without the log-ish look of wedges – but the white is too much and too heavy and swallowing her feet. A narrower strap of white leather and they would be great for this particular, very Reese-y kind of photo-op.

  • demidaemon

“Eat it, Swifty. Also, this is what a bag looks like with shit in it.”

  • Ali2044

Please never let this parking lot tour end.

    • Alicia

She needs to do a whole new parking lot penance tour to make up for those hideous shoes.

  • Tee

Making sure you see her bag is not empty is taking the “parking lot tour” to a whole new level.

  • Beardslee

Reese has an individual, identifiable style. Kudos to her.

  • LibKat

Watch and learn, Tay-tay. Watch and learn.

  • 3boysful

Everyone’s covered most of it, but I just have a problem with that short, very full silhouette. It looks out of proportion to me. Perhaps it only works on grownups if you have no bust. Otherwise, you become a squashed figure 8 on stilts.

    Burn the shoes.

  • Bad Idea Jeans

From the front, her shoes look like bedroom slippers. She can do better than this.

  • DeniseSchipani

THERE’S STUFF IN HER BAG! She heard me.

  • MinAgain

She’s not going to be able to serve in those shoes.

  • Ann VerWiebe

She really has that bag packed! That is not a show bag – it’s the real deal!

  • Avonell

CUTE SKIRT! But how old is she tho?

  • boweryboy

I can’t with the sloppy tuck and ugly shoes. The skirt is kind of cute. Kind of.

  • altermyego

I love the shadow and light of the skirt cutout on her leg in the last picture. A good reason to wear this skirt in the daytime and in summer. I give the outfit extra points just for that.
Plus, I love that her shirt was partially untucked and the paparazzi caught the moment she realized it and tucked it in. It may have been planned but I don’t care, I still like it.

  • Aurumgirl

She’s kind of undressed…in this outfit. Top half out, half in…unbuttoned….shoes way too big to fit….hmmm.

  • Melanie

i need, NEED, those sunglasses. they’re actually not prohibitively expensive, i think i found my christmas present!
