She looks like she just woke up from a Heineken Sponsored Night.

    • Judih1

      I agree

  • @Biting Panda

Too baggy. It’s a monstrosity, either way, but at least when the waist is more fitted, it’s not a shapeless monstrosity.

    • demidaemon

Agreed. She’ so pretty too, that it seems like a particularly egregious offense.

  • imperfectlaura

I don’t mind the dress, but it doesn’t feel right for the event.

    • jen

Exactly! And it looks much better styled for fall.

  • Glam Dixie

That is one cheap ass looking backdrop for one cheap ass looking dress.

  • Capt. Renault

    Pregnant Trudy Campbell.

    • Capt. Renault

(No disrespect to Pregnant Trudy Campbell.)

  • TinyDynamo

Why is she wearing a homely holiday sack to an event in August?

  • Anna

    I give this a 30-love (makeup-dress).

Miss Lady doesn’t seem to care for the frock either.

  • sugarkane105

Her gorgeous face deserves better than this dress.

  • crash1212

If ever a dress called out for a thin black belt, this is it. It’s cute as hell on the model…with boots – which seem garment appropriate. Not sure who thinks an Autumn colored dress with long sleeves screams out for a naked shoe, but whatevs stylists of America.

    • FibonacciSequins

Nikki is on the wide/short-waisted side. I think a belt would just emphasize that. This dress needs someone taller, with a smaller waist.

    • KateShouldBeWorking

Don’t go introducing logic and sense into the stylist profession; I’m sure they’re doing just fine on their own.

  • NurseEllen

This is an office Christmas party dress, not a hot August weekend courtside dress. Plus, it’s baggy and does nothing for her. Hate the lipstick color. I completely understand the impulse to put up one’s hair on a summer’s afternoon but I cannot stand it when random tendrils are sticking out–you just end up pushing them out of your face all day, then they get all sweaty and gross looking. Go home, honey, and put on something more summery.

    And I hope Federer wins!

  • Laura Renee

This dress is depressing for August. Why did no one fix the collar?

  • Aidan B

Could someone please remind me who she is? Also, can I borrow this for my next office holiday party?

    • Imasewsure

A Twilight alum…. living with one of our favorite duck-faces, Ian Somerholder apparently!!

      • Aidan B

Aha, that would be why I had no idea. I don’t think I could look at that smirk/duck face every day, so she must be more patient a soul than I!

    • ‘Becca’lise Deveaux

She was in Thirteen with Evan Rachel Wood when they were wee little lasses.

  • B_C_J

This is not a summer dress.

  • International Model

…I prefer the nude lip the model is sporting. It has that Parker Posey whimsy. Then again, the clashing red of the lips against the red of the dress may be the reason I’m making such a bold statement.

    • @Biting Panda

And where is our Ms.Posey these days?

  • decormaven

While I’m not exactly expecting her to wear white, nothing about this says “I’m attending a tennis event.” This is an office Christmas party outfit. Stash it for then.

  • PinkyK

Once again…..a dress not suited for August in the Northern Hemisphere.

  • FibonacciSequins

This girl cannot dress for the red carpet to save her life.

  • MilaXX

It’s okay, but it needs a belt.

  • decormaven

And why is she in the corner? Doesn’t the backdrop have enough expanse for a decent shot- I assume the sponsorship logos are repeated ad infinitum so the photogs won’t exclude them.

  • marlie

Cute enough, but the waist of the dress needs to come down a couple of inches AND it needs a belt to break up the pattern. Also, this dress would be perfect for a Christmas holiday party.

  • nicole @ writes like a girl

that needs a belt more than anything ever has.

  • Kitten Mittons

The sweating she surely did in the dress is punishment enough.

I hope you learned a lesson here, young lady.

  • Synnae

That dress is autumn, not US open. I also wish she had the sleeves shortened to the model’s 3/4 length. Now it looks very old-lady-ish.

I am always struck by how gorgeous her face is but I find myself in two minds about her currently very thick eyebrows though. I know it is totally on trend but I feel that if she were to go back to slightly thinner it would open her eyes and face more.

  • Kristi Mitchell

I’m just thrilled she’s in cute footwear that doesn’t look like she’s teetering on stilts. I love me some FMH’s but they don’t need to be worn to everything, all the time.

  • frannyprof

Such a wrong dress for that venue. Unless it’s goth tennis?

  • ChelseaNH

It’s not the _least_ summery dress we’ve seen for an event…

  • evave2

Are we going thru another shirt dress moment? I don’t like shirt dress moments. First Taylor Swift, now this. Both dresses look like somebody had an idea and could not figure “what it meant” because I think shirt dresses can only be pulled off if somebody wears a freaking BELT.

  • Lisalady161

That dress is so dowdy on her. Too bad, because her face and her legs look fantastic.

  • clatie

I bought this from Uncle Jer’s in Silver Lake in 1991.

  • Danielle

  • GeoDiva

    Ho Hum

  • sagecreek

    What happened to the waistline?

  • livesarah

Look how they had to pose the model to give that dress any semblance of a shape.

  • kimmeister

The pattern is making me crazy – it looks like she has staples all over her!

  • musi_

    where is her waist??!?!

  • mickiemonkey

She looks like she is cowering in the time-out corner.

  • demidaemon

Wow, what a shapeless, hideously colored dress.

  • Sherilyne Cox

The sleeves bother me. Either full length, three-quarter, or short. Otherwise, it looks like they ran out of fabric.

  • kim bunchalastnames

i honestly cannot tell the difference between this girl and ashley green. wait, is it ashley green? that other sparkly vampire one.

  • belfebe

I think that the dress is fine, but the shoes don’t go. That dress was made for booties, and it could have used a belt.

  • Mr. J.

Clearly I am the only person who thinks this works–not WERKS–but is pleasant….a mess that works–like she threw on grandma’s old shapeless dress, didn’t even straighten the collar, and here she is….those beautiful eyes, messy hair…nice….and all this tsk-tsking about red before Christmas–are we talking Junior League here? is there a dress code at work? Ridiculous.

  • SoAnnaPropriate

I see charred hot air balloons falling from the sky.

  • KT

Attention must be paid to her makeup, but she looks really uncomfortable in that dress, as evidenced by her body language. The dress looks significantly less sassy on her than on the model. Stand up straight honey, and maybe pop a hip or something.
