Really like this. Not in love with the crop top trend on the red carpet, but that skirt is fab. Like the styling choices with the exception of all the rings.

  • Anna

I like the colours, but I’m not feeling Taylor Swift’s gym clothes on Lady Mary.

    • Boulderista

If only Tay had worn this look head to toe instead of the Q-to-VD romper – she’d actually look pretty good in this and for the first time ever she’d have the right shoes on.

    • demidaemon

Got it in one, I agree. It all just feels overworked and awkward on her. despite her attempts to sell it.

  • NMMagpie

The midriff strip trend needs to stop. I cannot deny she looks fabulous, although the shoes look painful. That red mark on her ankle says everything.

  • Dino Bonačić

She’s such an elegant lady – she diminishes any sign of tacky in a dress. WOW.

  • Those shoes should only be used as murder instruments.

    • SugarSnap108

      They scream Single White Female.

  • Emily Giovanni

Girl, that is not your color.

    • I do wish the crop top wasn’t that shade of blush pink. At least not for her. Its too close to her skin tone. In her case one of the skirt colors would have served her better.

    • BrianaJC

I hate this color on her. And the accessories are too matchy without actually matching.

  • Kitten Mittons

If this weren’t a crop top, and if the tablecloth on her hip were just a skosh smaller, this would be perfect. LOVE the colors and the patterns. her makeup is lovely. Yeah, the shoes look painful, but I still want them.

I just started watching DA this weekend, and it hooked me right away. Can’t wait to dive in further.

  • Beto

That midrift trend MUST STOP NOW. It is hideous. Save that for beachwear or sports wear. Don’t like the skirt factor form, too much contrast front and back. If the panel that falls from the hip were actually sewed or be part of the skirt in and itself, that would saved that bottom look. Loved the colors.

  • EveEve

So bland, Can we permanently Whiteboard her? (And yes, to Whiteboard is a verb chez EveEve.)

  • Dany

I find the belly slit quite irritating because if it wasn’t there, this would be pretty chic. Needed black shoes, not the light blue.

    • 3boysful

      Exactly on the shoes.

  • ballerinawithagun

Basically like this, I wish the pattern would have extended to the back, this just looks like the scarf you brought along on your beach vacation tucked into your skirt waistband. The top isn’t her style and she look uncomfortable wearing the top.

  • I wish she would have had the balls to wear one black shoe and one color-coordinated one. That might have salvaged this a bit!

    • Was thinking the exact same thing. Wonder why they dont? Lack of imagination? Come talk to the BK’s dear, we have some to spare.

  • Capt. Renault

The back of the top looks unfinished somehow. Velcroed.

    • Sarah

      Yep. Or Band-Aided.

  • FibonacciSequins

Too tight. Have irrational hatred for the shoes.

  • Jeremiah Capacillo

Business in the back, dinner napkin stuck in her skirt in the front.

Nice color combination though. She almost saves this just by being so damn refined and elegant.

  • In_Stitches

I love it. I would not have expected her to be able to pull off that top; the color just doesn’t seem right for her, but she’s really pulling it off. She’s got the poise to pull off the stripe of bare skin and the skirt has enough volume to call for it. She’s really figuring out her style…I’m loving the journey.

  • Little_Olive

The color palette is wrong for belly-bearing, but she is carrying better than I thought. The dyed-to-match shoes need to die a painful death.

  • Chuck Barthelme

Not loving the skirt, and the top is too light for someone who’s already so pale.

  • Gatto Nero

I don’t like the back of the top (which looks like a velcro bra fastening), but the overall look is quite sweet on her. Not many people could carry off that skirt. The colors really work with her skin, and her hair has some ease for a change. She looks lovely.

  • RescueMe23

No. The crop top just blends with her skin tone. And I hate these pointy toe pumps. I wish they would all spontaneously combust never to be seen again.

  • I actually kind of enjoy the shoes and the skirt, but it’s a little blah.

  • Chattygal

A much needed VMA palate cleanser.

  • KendraMR

Lady Mary, your bra is on backwards.

  • nannypoo

I like the idea of this and I love the skirt. The color of the top is really awful and I don’t like the shoes, and of course the skirt is too tight, but with a few minor adjustments it could be fabulous.

  • Lex

The peach color is horrible with her complexion- just washes her out completely. The coral lipstick needs to die.

  • tallgirl1204

I have (what I believe to be entirely rational) HATE for outfits with a pretty, gaudy, colorful front and a plain black boring CHEAP-LOOKING back.
Whew. I feel better now. I was going to like this for the color-combo alone until I saw the back.

    • BLauDGaspode

The reverse mullet effect – party in front, business in back. I’m with you on the hate of that one.

  • teensmom99

One of my few departures from the uncles is my love of tricky skirts (properly deployed of course) so I love the skirt and wish the top were in a color that provided more contrast to her British peaches and cream skin. Shoes are a little too on point (ha ha!) in their color but it’s working for me as a whole.

  • boweryboy

The skirt is cute, if not a bit wrinkled. I think a black shoe would have worked better due to the busy print of the skirt. And HELL NO to crop tops on the red carpet. No.

  • marlie

I wish the top wasn’t midriff-baring, and the back is a little too fussy for me, but overall I like the look. I really like the skirt, and I like the choice of shoes.

  • throwslikeagirl

Can anyone walk more than five feet in those shoes?

  • StrandedFashionista

I do not like that crop top.

  • Sam Smith

I’m voting no on the crop top trend.

  • MaryMcClelland

Love everything about this except the super huge side-pony hanging off her hips. The colors are divine. Just wish the flap was better connected or better yet, the back of the skirt!

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

I’d like it better if the top weren’t crop and she wore black shoes.

  • MilaXX

It’s all very matchy but looks good on her. I kinda wish she had just gone with a black shoe though.

  • Fuchsiaforever

She makes the funniest and phoniest faces. I guess they are 100% paparazzi perfect. What a pro.

  • Molly

I love that there was a tea party going on at the same time as the VMAs.

  • marielle27

I love the story form the 3rd picture: Medusa and
the jaguars. One looks like her mummy hand and the other two like disobedient servants that she turned to stone.

  • Imasewsure

    That’s a lot of awful

  • E. D.

Not a huge fan of the shoes, but probably because I don’t think that color looks good on anyone.

  • AnneElliot

I am in awe of her eyebrows.

  • H2olovngrl

That is totally not where your scarf goes.

  • Aidan B

Pretty overall, but it reads a little “bathing suit and cover up” to me.

  • Nicole

She looks so fresh. Great colours on her!

  • ThaliaMenninger

Love it. She looks cool and collected as well as comfortable.

  • ashtangajunkie

Do not love the shoe colour, but I do love the outfit.

  • mapmakerscolors

Love the front of the skirt, hate everything else.

  • the back is kind of cute, except it looks like it has a bandaid holding it together.

  • Mothra

That dress would be much cuter as a dress and not as a two piece too small ensemble. Also no to the shoes. just NO!

  • frannyprof

    Not her best, I’m afraid.

  • When compared to the model, it looks like it’s not fitting her well. The two piece looks better when you just barely see a bit of midriff. Not three inches of belly skin.

  • Clash D

I don’t like the colour blocking on the skirt, from sideways she looks like she tucked a dinner napkin there and forget to take it off. I don’t mind the midriff, she’s classy enough to make it look sophisticated.

  • ailujailuj

I have a thing about crop tops, in that I hate crop tops… unless they fit like on the editorial model—drafty and open. But oh—those colors are divine. Lovely lovely shoes and that wedding mint green is perfection.

  • livesarah

Ooh matchy shoes don’t usually bother me but those are wrong, even though they are my favourite colour. Black is much better. And peachy-coloured people should avoid wearing peach.

  • MoreShoes

She’s too white for that top. I prefer the black/orange shoes of the model.
