Hollywood Cyborg Action Figurine: Now With Fug Belt.

      • Glam Dixie

        And extra extensions.

        • schadenfreudelicious

She is wearing all the extensions…

      • Dino Bonačić

Absolutely hate the belt (OF COURSE she had to tacky up the whole outfit) but the dress is a pleasant surprise in the world of Megan McTacky Fox.

ps. Why is this movie still in the cinemas?

    • decormaven

That belt is the wrong accessory for this dress.

      • teensmom99

I feel like the belt must be a ninja thing. I never watched the tv show or the movie–so do they wear a utility belt. Because that would be the only reasons to wear this belt with this outfit.

      • Kent Roby

I agree. And though I’m not a fan, the dress (without the belt) seems absolutely perfect for her.

    • imperfectlaura

      2 thoughts:
      1) That’s a big-ass belt.
      2) Her face in these pictures reminds me of Rose McGowan.

      • BayTampaBay

No! That’s the wrong big-ass belt! LOL!

      • Introspective

guessing that she and rose had the same plastic surgeon. who gave them the same unrecognizable face.

    • RussellH88

That belt just seems kind of random.

She doesn’t really even look real anymore, it’s like she went Full Kidman.

      • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

Why would she do that to herself?!! She looked great — why turn yourself into a wax figure?

        • RussellH88

I don’t really know. It seemed to happen right after she made it big.

Whenever a young starlet does that to herself, she ends up looking like a much older women trying to look younger. It’s scary.

        • jeneria

Because her husband is older than she is and by all accounts a demanding control freak. If she ages, he walks.

      • Aidan B

In the third photo down she truly looks like The Joker. I’m scared.

      • mlurve

The belt looks SO cheap and awful, like she got this designer dress and then stopped by Forever 21 on the way for the belt

    • AlisonS

I like the idea of a belt, but that is so not the belt. Think and patent would have worked like gangbusters. In fact I was so distracted by the belt I realized I didn’t even look at hair, makeup, or jewelry. Though I appreciate the necklace, the belt distracts.

    • Glam Dixie

I dislike that belt more than I can possibly express, the extensions are still over done but that said, she looks a bit more like an actual human here and while the dress is nothing earth shattering, it is pretty, at least the way the model is wearing it.

    • http://recapscallion.blogspot.com/ Claire

Her necklace appeals to the part of me that was a nine-year-old girl in 1995.

    • Kelly

I like the concept; “alien space babe” fits this sort of movie. My first thought was that the belt is too heavy for the dress, but otoh, it gives a kind of fighter-fierceness to the look.

      • golden_valley

It’s only fighter fierce if there is a knife or pistol strapped onto that huge belt.

        • Kelly

A smidge literal for the RC, but it would definitely be a look.

        • Sophie

Maybe with a thinner belt added to the large one? And an old-style revolver. But wouldn’t she look like she stepped out of a cow-boy movie?

    • ashtangajunkie

      Nope, shan’t.

    • hughman

This dress goes perfectly with the belt you wear as a Piano Mover.

      • Nikko Viquiera

That belt looks like a weightlifting belt! ugh.

        • Anna

The belt holds up all the collagen and the extensions.

        • Kitten Mittons

It is. Borrowed from Swift because she doesn’t need it…….because she’s, uhh, doing cardio this week. Yeah, that’s it. Cardio.

    • Vegas Girl

I don’t feel like I am about to see he crotch any second, so this is a win for me.

    • schadenfreudelicious

That belt is very Ralph Lauren equestrian..not working for me.

    • Janet B

Surprised, I really like this look on her.
The side part and softness of her hair looks better than the straight look she’s had recently.

    • Kitten Mittons

      RE the belt: feh

      RE the rest: meh

    • Sam Smith

I think the dress is really pretty, except no to the necklace, no to the belt and not to emphasizing the slit.

    • OwnsHairlessCats

All the belt needs are a few tools to accessorize it.

    • Froggae

Below the neck: Fine except the belt. A thinner one in almost any color would be better.
Neck up: I hate going here but it’s too obvious. Her face is plastic. She may as well wear a mask.

    • conniemd

I like the belt. I just am so tired of seeing dress linings that stop part way down the leg, leaving sheer the rest of the way down.

      • marlie

Agree about the dress. The sheer-over-short rarely works/looks good.

    • wisenhar

      Quack

    • Anna

      This is STILL happening?

      • demidaemon

        Apparently so. :/

      • CatLady

TMNT had the highest box office ticket sales for a solid two weeks. It looks like they’re trying to keep that gravy train rolling.

    • Dora Kishinevsky

Huh; that’s actually quite pretty and classy. A bit “generic starlet” but that’s better than “generic sex doll”.

    • teensmom99

Can we play a bingo game with those sandals. Perhaps the prize is a Be Me or Do me magnet.

    • Abbey Rogue

She is both gross and boring.

    • MilaXX

That dress is only so so but that is the absolutely worst belt to pair it with.

    • papillon

She looks better here than the last few times you featured her. I like the galaxy print but I hate the sheer bottom piece (when will that trend die?!) and she really needs to stop making the duck face.

    • BLauDGaspode

Her nails look diseased, the poor dear.

    • MartyBellerMask

I’m just chuckling at the idea of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles press conference. Picturing the turtles, seated at a table, with a thousand microphones.

      • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

        Yep, she’s living the dream.

      • Qitkat

I’m really getting old. My now 34 year old son couldn’t get enough of them the first time around. Our house was littered with TMNT toys. I’ll have to ask him if he plans to see the movie.

        • Snailstsichr

Oh man, that brings back memories – I had to buy tons of cereal to get the free plastic bowl that had the correct color mask because my daughter was going to marry Raphael and she only wanted to eat cereal out of “his” bowl. (the red one, in case you are curious)

    • http://instagram.com/nevareese International Model

That belt is competing for worst part of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

    • @Biting Panda

Basic bitches step to the left.

Speaking of Basic Bitches, my very best bestie met Adore Delano at a show last night. Adore filmed a vid clip with her, to her not yet 18yr old daughter, telling her how cool her mom is. Adore pulled her up, on stage, and lip synced a song with her. My girl got tip$ she was so on point. She’s (my bestie) is on Cloud 9, right now.

      • formerlyAnon

        Pretty great night!

    • SophieB210

The belt makes the whole outfit a Peter Pan costume. I so want to photoshop some green felt booties in there.

    • SophieCollier

Dress and necklace are good, but why the belt?!?!? Ugly style choice.

    • Chuck Barthelme

The one thing that is working for her is the lighter makeup. Or at least, the look of lighter. Her face doesn’t look nearly as shinny and plasticy as usual.

    • In_Stitches

If you’re going to go with a menswear belt for the Ninja Turtle’s movie, why not go all in and wear tortoise shell? The belt is just a no…unless she’s trying to get people to think about Jonah Hex…and I don’t think anyone who was a part of Jonah Hex wants to remind people of Jonah Hex.

    • marlie

I don’t have a problem with *a* belt, but the belt that Megan is wearing is too big. And that’s not the right necklace for this.

    • tpalgal

In case enough hasn’t already been said about that belt, my ex-husband wore one exactly like this in the late 70s (we were tykes) with his bell-bottomed jeans. (It took me well into the 80s to get him into boot-cut jeans.) So, to clarify, wrong belt for the dress. The dress doesn’t thrill me, but like some BKs, I’m just happy it’s a whole dress and pieces parts of her aren’t threatening to bust out. I don’t have the energy to discuss what’s going on with her face. It’s not often you say of a 28-year-old girl, “She used to be so pretty before all of the needless facial interventions.”

    • http://fibonaccisequins.storenvy.com/ Danielle

I actually like the dress, definitely without the belt. I’m done bitching about her hair, clearly she goes to the Kim K school of Wiggery.

    • FibonacciSequins

In theory I like the juxtaposition of a butch leather belt with a romantic, feminine dress. This is not the right combination of the two. I also hate everything about that dress from the waist down.

    • AMinNC

Mother of 2 sons here, who was dragged to see TMNT on a rainy day before school started. The whole time I alternated between amazement that someone so young and pretty would feel it necessary to immobilize most of her face, and amazement at the fact that anyone would cast such a bad actress in anything. I’m usually not a harsh critic when it comes to kiddie films, but she was really, unfortunately bad. Like the fabric of the dress; wish it were fully lined; belt bugs.

      • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

Wow, you actually had to watch that movie?! I hope you poured yourself a large alcoholic beverage when you got home.

        • AMinNC

          Oh yeah. A double.

          • demidaemon

It should have been a quadruple.

      • marlie

You’re a good mother. I hope the boys remember things like this down the road. :)

    • Elisabeth Ashley

No to the belt and the shoes for that matter. The dress is okay but like I think someone mentioned when she wears it it looks more department store than designer. Maybe it doesn’t photography well? I am glad her extensions are blended a bit better now though…

    • Ashleigh

      uh…HELLO BELT

    • Lex

The belt is some cheap belt that should go with casualwear, not a glitter…er… caftan.

    • YeahYeahFashion

Why does everything have to be slit to show the upper thigh now? Clearly it was cut and it’s really unnecessary. That belt falls in the same unnecessary category.

    • unbornfawn

That belt is all kinds of wrong with that dress. A little belt that didn’t look like is should have a holster would have worked.

    • clatie

She has the uncanny ability to make anything look cheap. Probably because she has turned her appearance into that of a caricature of a high-end Vegas stripper.

    • Comfy

Are we sure this isn’t Madame Tussauds?

    • suzq

The dress needed better lighting more than it needed a belt or a wide slit.

    • frannyprof

      Meh infinity.

    • elemspbee

The dress almost works, esp for the occasion. But the belt is all wrong–size, placement, crooked. how annoying.

    • formerlyAnon

I don’t know how one is supposed to dress for a Teen Age Mutant Ninja Turtles movie press conference in Seoul, Korea. That said, the belt seems heavy for the dress, and if the intent was to give the dress a street-fightin’ edge, the shoes are wrong.

    • Qitkat

I think I had that linoleum back in 1972.

      • formerlyAnon

        Hahahaha. Truth.

        • Qitkat

And it was a nightmare to keep clean, except the pattern obscured all the dirt.

    • Glam Dixie

Can I just tell you all that my nephew had a TMNT themed birthday party two weekends ago. A cake with the red masked one that his mom made with matching plates, cups and plastic silverware. Did I mention that he was turning 18 and not 8? I found it so disturbing.

      • boweryboy

TMNT is still a huge deal. It’s weird. My niece, who is 30, was all amped for this movie – moreso than ther 5 and 8 year olds.

        • Glam Dixie

My 24 year old saw it twice. Twice! I don’t get it but I’m obviously not the target demo.

          • demidaemon

I love TMNT (childhood nostalgia), but I refuse to give money to this dreck.

    • flamingoNW

For the love of God, woman, try a new hair style….

    • Captain_Awkward

I don’t love the belt, but she looks prettier and less plastic/shiny/mannequin here than she has in a while. The dress and makeup suit her.

      • gloriana232

Yeah, I almost didn’t recognize her! The make-up is nice.

      • CatLady

Captain Awkward posts here too?? Your advice blog is excellent!

        • Captain_Awkward

Thank you! I’m more of a lurker than a poster, but I love T&L and all the pretty and especially the Mad Men recaps & style posts (which I use sometimes in my classes).

          • CatLady

The Mad Style posts are what brought me here, then I branched out into the fashion ones. I never realized how much work goes into tv and film. It’s fascinating.

    • smayer

      That belt from Structure… No.

    • Imasewsure

I’m glad she likes it but it’s kind of an ugly dress…. nothing more to say about the hair and the face…

    • Ann VerWiebe

That’s what I wear to all of my press conferences!

    • boweryboy

It looks like a flock of Jackson Pollock pigeons pooped all over her dress.

    • kim bunchalastnames

why don’t i hate this as much as i should?

    • onetwothree

      That is Not Your Belt

    • http://weirdinedgewise.blogspot.com ONEWEIRDWORD

I like it. And I like her. She’s on my irrational like list.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

… Is the print supposed to look like the floor of a subway car, or of a cheap black box theater set?

    • titaness25

      Scrolldowndafuq.

    • GillianHolroyd

I like how it looks on the model, no slit, below-knee length, and with a hint of a collar but that could just be the lighting.

    • MM4321

The belt doesn’t go but I really like the dress!

    • lobsterlen

Megan Fox is modeling for Hot Topic now?

    • livesarah

Horrible. All of it. That belt is particularly bad.

    • demidaemon

She’s a little overdressed, no? Hating the side mullet sheer hem and shorts (?) combo. Also, her facial expression irritates me.

    • LeelaST

      Love the necklace.

    • quiltrx

Neat dress, stupid belt. Stupid necklace, stupid hair, stupid face.

    • Sophie

It looks better when the thigh slit isn’t apparent. I’d say the necklace doesn’t go with the neckline, but the pendant ends up looking like the moon on a starry night backdrop, so it’s alright.

    • macwell

The belt is dumb. So yeah….

    • Big Bear

I irrationally love her but even I’m like ‘what?’.

    • dschubba

      That’s the wrong belt.

    • Adelaidey

It would look better on Emmy Rossum.

    • Buttscratcher

I feel like she needs pirate boots and a gun holster. + an eyepatch. What’s with the exposed leg??

    • http://msavonelljrose.blogspot.com Avonell

      Her hair is so perfffff!!!

    • musi_

belt is all kinds of wrong

    • KT

I actually don’t hate this, even though I probably should. That belt is all wrong though- way too gigantic and distracting, and the wrong style for this dress. A thin black belt would have worked much better, if at all.
