It looks dumb, but he gets away with it. Do you think that unfair?  Darlings, let us be the first to welcome you to earth, where big-dicked, handsome alpha male types get to do things everyone else doesn’t. Can we take your coat? Get you something to drink?

    I hate him for this.

  • “Terrible but hot” is a look I strive for on a daily basis.

  • Mothra

hey, at least there is no neckbeard.

    • Chuck Barthelme

      Seriously. Points for grooming.

      • judybrowni

        Really? Really?
I’m tired of getting my Hamm with lousy facial hair.

        • Chuck Barthelme

I feel like it’s a poor choice for him, absolutely. He looks much better with a clean shaven face, in my opinion. BUT he at least didn’t go all neck beard on us.

        • Trent

SO disagree. THIS beard, neatly trimmed yet lush, is Hamm Hotness, IMO. The beard he had 2 months ago, which he grew in about two days after MM wrapped, was a Duck Dynasty horror.

I wonder if he trims the Hammaconda…

  • fiddlecub

Seeing Jon Hamm take his schlong out for a walk is always the day’s highlight.

    • MilaXX

      • Thomas

Ha I said that on his last post lol Now it’s gonna be in everyone’s head cause of that terrible new Nicki Minaj song that samples “Baby Got Back.” Lol

        • Karen Belgrad

No Nicki for me… I’m old school and strictly singing Sir Mix-a-lot

    • Karen Belgrad

I *think* it might actually be his phone this time!

      *except in the first photo

      • Kelly Wood

I thought he “dressed” to the right?

        • Kent Roby

Okay, Okay: I volunteer to go to him personally and find out which way he dresses; I’m like the Mother Teresa of Bitter Kittens, I give and I give!

  • MilaXX

The boots look silly, but I’ve long since come to grip with the fact that he is no where near as suave as Don Draper in real life.

    • sojourneryouth

Me too, but he’s 100% less alcoholic, so there’s that! 🙂

      • Modeniete

He always looks totally stoned to me….

      • sundaynightaddict

…and 100% funnier. Real life Hamm > Don Draper. Funny always wins.

    • StrandedFashionista

I’m mostly interested in the ‘I’m more manly than Don Draper’ sex he probably has.

  • Courtenay P

sweet lord jesus this man is FOINE.

    • FuhUgh

I’ll take a side of Hamm with that please…

  • marlie

I’m ok with everything except the boots. They’re ridiculous, particularly with the suit pants partially tucked into them. But I like him with facial hair.

    • BayTampaBay

I think the suit is just as bad as the boots.

    • Grumpy Girl

And they seem to only be partially laced. Like, he got a call to hurry, threw them on, and ran out the door, like my son catching his ride to school, and planning to adjust and finish lacing during said ride.

  • BayTampaBay

Sorry but he looks like douche bag shit.

    • SportifLateBoomer

And there’s a problem with that? He can do no wrong in my book. And handsome, big dicked alpha males are my type du jour. Yes I’m shallow. He can look like that, but I know he seems doofy, smart and kind IRL so it’s all good.

  • Karen Belgrad

Those boots are FDO (for denim only).

  • Glam Dixie

He spontaneously impregnated that lady behind him. Those shoes tho.

    • H2olovngrl

      All of them.

  • Boulderista

He does so little for me that all I can think is “what is going on with his cuffs?” I wonder if he forgot to pack dress shoes, though I’m sure the hotel would’ve sent a minion out to buy him a new pair.

    • BayTampaBay

Same here, neither he or Don Draper do anything for me. I’d rather have Roger Sterling. I hate to say this but I really don’t think Jon Hamm will have much of a successful money-making career in front of the camera after Mad Men.

      • Wink

I wonder about that, too. When he’s not “Don Draper” his hotness takes a major dive. (Exhibit A: photos above.)

        • Sarah

I don’t watch Mad Men, so I’m not a fangurl or anything, but have you guys seen his IMDB page? He’s done a LOT of stuff. I expect he will continue to do a lot of stuff. He’s a good comedic actor, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he did something along those lines to distance himself from MM.

          • Wink

I agree that he’s very funny, especially the saxophone skit on SNL. I’m saying that the “Don Draper” character is so hot that, in comparison, the real Jon Hamm seems like an average guy wearing work boots with a suit.

          • makeityourself

Jon Hamm is no average guy. Monday night this week he was in St. Louis at the Cardinals game because it was Jon Hamm Bobblehead night.

His Bobblehead did not have a beard, btw.

          • Jennifer Brown Reager

The bobblehead actually does have some “scruff.” And as you can see from my profile picture (AHEM), he looks pretty amazing, Don Draper drag or no. He’s also really nice, and donated the proceeds raised at the Cardinals game to charity, blahblahblah. 😉

My main beef with the bobblehead is that it has blue eyes. He has green eyes, and I know because I looked into them and may never be the same, heh.

      • Kent Roby

He is great at drama (i.e. Mad Men), and equally great at comedy (Bridesmaids, SNL); he will stay busy as an actor as long as he wants.

        • conlakappa

And not known for being demanding. He was a workaday actor who got the part of a lifetime.

      • FrigidDiva

I probably would have agreed with you before I saw him in a BBC series. If you have Netflix check out “A Young Doctor’s Notebook”, it’s very DARK humor, but I highly recommend it. Both Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe are good in it, and Jon Hamm gets to delve into his comedic side as well as his dramatic side.

  • FibonacciSequins

No, he doesn’t get away with it. Pairing the boots with the suit made him less hot.

Okay, only like 2% less hot. But still. If Jon Hamm gets away with this, you know someone like Jason Segel is going to try it next.

  • imperfectlaura

No he doesn’t. He looks like he’s preparing for the ice bucket challenge (putting on a terrible outfit that he doesn’t care if it gets soaked).

  • Anna

I do this in winter when I don’t want my pant hems covered in slush, and then I change into my shoes at work. I don’t know what the hell he’s doing it for.

  • Sonia Perez

Those boots would make sense with jeans or khakis but not dress pants. But I forgive him.

  • Capt. Renault

I don’t have a coat today, thanks. I like my Gibsons straight up.

    Oh — right.

  • hughman

I hate boots with that little quilted fanny-pack thing around the ankle.

    • ShaoLinKitten

All real work boots have them. I’ll leave it to your imagination what manner of work Hamm should be doing in them.

    • TigerLaverada

I love that part, but that’s because I wear workboots to work everyday and comfort is everything.

  • decormaven

It’s business up top, party at the bottom.

    • Sarah

Party all over, if you ask me.

    • alyce1213

Pretty much what I thought. OK, I’ll wear a suit, but with partially-tied hiking boots because, hey, I’m cool, see?

  • ElaineMarie34

Fine with me! I’ll even forgive the beard.

  • CelandineM

I can honestly say, it’s Jon Hamm, why the hell would I spend our precious time together looking at or worrying about his footwear?

  • Michael_Jones

Is it wrong that I really want those boots? I don’t want to wear them with a suit, but I really want those boots. (Jon Hamm needs to deliver them to me… personally… right now…)

  • fnarf

He made that woman behind him pregnant just by walking past her, didn’t he?

  • kfizz

He really does not wear a beard well. What a shame.

  • Tracy_Flick

I’m laughing at the regular guys in their working-dad outfits in the background. “Whatever, dude. I pulled something out of the dirty laundry that didn’t smell too bad, and then my running shoes because or else my back acts up.” Celebrity really is a different world.

  • fursa_saida

He does not get away with it. FIX YOUR PANT LEG.

  • RescueMe23

I don’t get the swooning for this guy. He does nothing for me.

  • MaggieMae

Love the beard! It’s true, the boots are terrible with the suit, and it’s also true, I’m gonna let him get away with it.

  • Violentcello

Oh yeah. Happy birthday to me.

  • random_poster

I don’t watch Mad Men, so my personal impression of his appeal/hotness is it’s situational. The only example I can think of as a comparison is John Corbett.

  • evave2

Was this what he wore and exactly the way he wore it on set I don’t like the way the boots are interacting with his pants. In or out, not both

  • Just like the 30 Rock episode….

    • ryenerman

      He lives in the bubble!

  • I love those boots so, so much. Anyone got any idea what brand they are? 🙂

  • Janet B

I’ll need a drink to put up with that look.

  • Narrow pants and big boots always reads Herman Munster to me.

  • JauntyJohn

    I vote yes.

  • KT

    Yes but where’s the hammaconda?

    • understateddiva

Agreed. I did not click on this post for a side view…

  • Le_Sigh

Ewan McGregor called. He wants his look back.

  • librarygrrl64

I actually don’t think he gets away with it. This look needs a skinny jean. But otherwise he looks great.

  • Erica Woods Tucker

    I think he’s missing his underwear again….yes. I’m looking.

  • Ashleigh

  • Judy_J

Greying at the temples? Oh, yes! Greying in the beard? No, no, and no.

  • jonnyf8

It’s always the commando look for Jon, if you get my drift.

  • Man Dala

He rocks that beard like no other. Sigh.

  • Imasewsure

  • LeelaST

Boo to the boots, beard, and pocket bulge (cell phone/wallet – NOT the other!)

  • Sherilyne Cox

Maybe it’s just me, but I rather thought those boots would be bigger. Whatcha think….. a 10? Maybe a 10 1/2?

  • krelnick

He’s looking very Maximilian Schell with that beard.

  • mommyca

    Love…. and grayish beard? Divine!

  • paintedfish

he is his character on 30Rock

  • colleenjanel

    And it’s not even Friday!

  • ktr33

He lives in The Bubble. It just doesn’t matter.

  • prettybigkitty

I like Hamm in Boots much better than Puss in Boots.

  • Kelly

It looks dumb, and no, he doesn’t get away with it. From the neck up, he’s great. But the boots make him look like he was walking around the house in stocking feet and then had to shove on any old footwear he found in the mud room so he could run out and catch his escaped dog.

  • quiltrx

It does look dumb, but in the right outfit those are some very cool boots.

  • JynxTheCat

Your blog boys but he does not get away with it to me. This looks smacked.

  • queen b*tch

i want to touch his beard

  • NBG

Nope, he does not get away with it. He looks like he’s doing the walk of the shame and his booty partner kicked him out before he could grab his real shoes.

  • Abbey Rogue

Now, THIS is how we do 90s. He makes me want to smoke Camels and listen to Hole.

  • AzSportsGirl

I know we aren’t supposed to talk about the *reals* in the celebrity photos, but the blonde pregnant lady in the black top, jeans and flats looks amazing. Her hair and skin are glowing. SHe’s the real star of these shots for me.

  • mwightman

The boots are fine. They’d really look good up on my shoulders.

    • mwightman

ummmm….What I meant to say that he is a really attractive guy who can make the ridiculous plausible.

  • AutumnInNY

I’d be happy to adjust that left leg cuff for him.

  • Emily Wilson

His level of hotness is no excuse. Live up to the style the good Lord gave you.

  • Jack Agustin

I like the burly man/I’m on summer vacation beard because if you can grow a beard like that you should, ever now and then. He definitely needs a better hairstyle though. If he can’t bring himself to adopt the awesomeness that is Don Draper’s hair, he should go super short on the sides or something.
