She is giving me everything I need right now.

    • Capt. Renault

      Fan Bingbing BAM.

      • Nikko Viquiera

        Fan BingBANG! Fan BingBAM!

        • Kathy

These are her Super Hero aliases.

    • http://fibonaccisequins.storenvy.com/ Danielle

Oh, Fan Bingbing, Patron Saint of Fierce, how the kittens missed you.

      • Nikko Viquiera

        AMEN.

    • Nikko Viquiera

I would love for every Vogue Magazine to have Fan Bing Bing’s head as the “O” (or any of the letters actually!) Also, I don’t read Chinese, but I think every word in that cover must mean “Perfect!” or “WERQ!” because she truly is.

      • GabrielleWig

Correct me if I’m wrong, it says “I have more surprises for the world” right under her name “Fan Bingbing”.

        • Aurora Meyer

Wow, studying Chinese? I have the barest memories from a couple years of Mandarin in High School, but I can see “Fan Bingbing”, “I” and “world,” so I trust you. Never noticed before that her name is Ice!

    • Carrie

      Love. Simple and perfect.

    • http://instagram.com/nevareese International Model

      …so that’s where my keys went…

    • Anna

      School’s in, American Vogue.

    • Anapestic

It is very pretty, but I miss her batshit insane period. Which, I believe, ended right before this cover was shot.

      • Karen Belgrad

You’re confusing your Bingbings… Li BingBing is prone to the nutty red carpet appearances.

        • PastryGoddess

Only in the world of TLo does one confuse BingBings

        • Anapestic

Oops, my bad. I have so much trouble with similar names. You should see the looks I get when I talk about how good Audrey Hepburn was in The Philadelphia Story. Or Katharine in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

          • jorinde

if I’m not mistaken, in Chinese names are switched, so Fan or Li are their family names, and Bingbing the “first” name.

            • Anapestic

Of course, I also used to confuse Rupert Everett and Rupert Murdoch. Which is even worse when you consider that I used to lust after one of them.

            • Imasewsure

Yipes… switch out Rupert Murdoch for Rupert Friend STAT… then it won’t hurt your brain so much if it ever walks down that path again! :)

            • alyce1213

We can only hope it wasn’t Murdoch.

            • Anapestic

I had a crush on the gay one who didn’t buy the WSJ, not the straight one who didn’t have the unfortunate plastic surgery.

Somewhere, there’s a person who fantasizes about both of them, and I can only pray that I never meet him.

            • Violentcello

Somehow I confuse Rupert Everett, Dermot Mulroney and Dylan McDermott. I don’t know why. Just now I had to google Steel Magnolias to see who played Jackson because I knew you wouldn’t know who I meant if I called him Not Dermot Mulroney.

            • Karen Belgrad

I confuse Dermot and Dylan too.

            • DamiaRain

I ALSO confuse these guys – at least their names… I was trying to say something about Everett to my bf last night – I couldn’t remember Everett’s name, and describing him as “that guy who sang the song in My Best Friend’s Wedding” wasn’t getting it done =) So *cheers* to the bitter kittens for having this conversation today to remind me what the hell his name is! =D

            • Loramir

I confuse those two and also the one who’s married to Tori Spelling….Dean McDermott? Also, if we’re discussing Ruperts, I’ll take Graves.

            • CPK1

I know right? Rupert Murdoch is just sooooo hot

            • smayper

OK, that gave me the out loud yelp of laughter. I adore Rupert Everett. Did you ever see “Another Country”? Also, I love your screen name. Yay.

            • Anapestic

I think Another Country is the first thing I saw him in. I saw it when it was first released in the US, when I was in college.

            • doodley

This is correct. It’s also likely that BingBing is a nickname made by doubling one of the characters of her given name.

            • Munchkn

They are! I can’t remember my granddaughters Chinese given name right off the bat (it’s now her middle name), but I really need to get that copy of Chinese Vogue! My granddaughter will love Fan Bingbing’s pale skin in a few years. Zoey has very pale skin too, but she has albinism.

          • Karen Belgrad

Beyond names, I still have a hard time differentiating between Julia Stiles and Erika Christensen :)

        • FuhUgh

Right! I was going to comment … somewhere Li Bingbing is bingbangging her head on the wall.

        • Janet B

I’m confusing people here all of the time. I often click on their name just to refresh my memory.

    • hughman

Well someone has to say it : Not doing much for me. Yes she’s very pretty but the dress is harsh, not very flattering and a bit sporty for a cover. Not reading “glamour” so much as “running errands”.

      • SugarSnap108

I agree. And now I’ll run away.

      • Kitten Mittons

I like it, but given that this woman can literally wear ANYTHING, I think it’s an odd choice. Break out the high end, totally insane couture, dammit.

      • Thomas

And it needs color. The cover is too monochromatic with her black hair, pale skin and light blue/gray background. Nothing pops.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

She would slay Reese and Tay-Tay in a parking lot war.

      • Anna

I think she’s too good for the parking lot!

        • DuBey2

Agree. She don’t need no gym or “outfits outside the gym” …

    • Imasewsure

That dress is nothing on the model but so wonderful on our dear Bingbing… wise choice to hide most of the ugly tan color and awkward skirt. Thank you BingBing and dear Uncles for such a straight up pretty cover

    • RescueMe23

She always looks like she knows something you don’t…

      • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

She does. Oh yes, she does.

    • smayper

I must have her ring. But she could kill someone with that earring.

      • Frank_821

Well since she’s been playing a superhero she should have some faboo weapons. I keep thinking of those accessories Angelina sport for her last movie premiere. Imagine the fierce faceoff battle these 2 could have. It would make an insane commerical

    • bitchybitchybitchy

Seeing the utterly fabulous Fan BingBing this fierce makes my day.

    • MilaXX

This is how you make black and white interesting

      • kimmeister

It would stand out better if the backdrop color weren’t so washed out.

    • quiltrx

Of course she’s a vision! But…I really like the dress, seems like an odd choice for a cover though. It’s chic, but not the glamorous, sparkly type of thing we usually see on covers.

    • rhymeswithorange

      I love her earring!

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

      FAB.
I also feel like Julia Louis-Dreyfus should immediately get this dress for her next more casual appearance. For some reason it immediately reminded me of her – maybe because it’s almost a high-end Veep look?

    • nannypoo

By far the better Bingbing. Always pretty and elegant.

    • demidaemon

Yes to the Bing Bing badabing.

    • Janet B

Interesting choice of dress for a cover; not very eye catching or even pretty. Kind of bland. Although on the right woman it’s probably a great dress.

    • evave2

She really knows how to pose, doesn’t she? I look at the model and wonder why LV deliberately made their models so plain

The only thing I saw her in was Iron Man 3 and I don’t think she jumps off the screen like Ziyi Zhang. But she sure is pretty in pretty clothes.

    • jilly_d

Is it just me or is her face blurry/not in focus on the cover? What kind of amateur photography shittery is this?

    • marlie

“Of course,” but in the best way possible. Bingbing looks better in this dress than the model.

    • MichelleRafter

Love the boots on the model, and it’s that color again.

    • SoAnnaPropriate

Can we discuss the model’s hideous makeup, hair and styling? It makes me hate the dress.

    • DuBey2

In the minority here. Love the dress on both the model AND as a different look for a Vogue cover. She is a breath of fresh air on this cover — THANK you, Uncles, for the post! (because when would I see Vogue China?)

    • Sophie

She’s beautiful and I love her ring, but the first thought I had when looking at the picture was how much her ear must hurt.

    • LibKat

      We’re not worthy!

    • Martha Anderson

this is a beautiful study of how to design a cover

black white gray gold everything on Bingbing is echoed in the print font and layout

    • Zuber

      The belt is uncalled for.

    • Nicole

Love it. She’s out modeling the model.
