    • Nancer

That is an excellent “sit down” dress.

      • Thomas

It’s also the first good dress of the day.

        • demidaemon

So far, it’s the ONLY good dress of the day.

          • evave2

Isn’t it odd, but the other dresses were by Prada and Louis Vuitton for heaven’s sake and it’s Roksanda (who is major but not as major as Prada and LV) who just floats and floats?

The dress has an effortless shape (and yes, Nancer, this is a lady who is not about to show the china to the back rows) and the forms ON the dress are so interesting.

Like the pinkie pink shoes and her makeup is beautiful; think her hair looks like she’s been up for 10 hours before this shot, but I don’t care. She picked a great dress. Gosh, I love her, even if she fails I care about what she tried.

            • demidaemon

yes, and considering after this we only had Reese in Parking Lot Couture, I can say, definitively, it is the only good dress of the day. Clearly, everyone working on that Marvel movie had a collective fashion seizure.

      • quiltrx

This was exactly my thought–good coverage, no need to squirm, and you can still see the design. Great choice.

      • RutGot

I was also thinking that either she or her stylist (is she one of those that doesn’t use one?) know how to think about the event she’s going to. Even her knees are covered so she doesn’t have to give any thought to whether she’s flashing the audience and can really concentrate on what she wants to say. Excellent work.

        • Nancer

Yes, I agree! It looks really good on her, and she doesn’t have to do that nervous perched on the edge of her chair with knees tightly locked together thing….

    • Kathy Marlow

This is SO much better than the abomination she wore the other day. The jumpsuit with extra pants. NO, just NO.

    • alyce1213

I like very much. Easy breezy, right for the event.

    • sienna elm

What a beautiful dress. It’s such a shame, though, that the straps on both of her shoes broke and she had to replace them with hair elastics.

      • Kara Keenan

I thought she did the repair job with jelly bracelets, but same difference. Such bad shoes.

      • Kent Roby

If these sandals are Dior, I can see why everyone has been defaulting to the SW “Nudist” sandal so much.

    • J.W.

      Shoulders back…stand up straight…

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

That is a great dress for her. The color and the shape both play to her assets. I don’t really like the shoes, but I like the idea of the shoes.

      • MoHub

This is one of the few bits of color blocking that manages to be unusual but still acknowledges the shape of the body. Me likee.

    • mjude

not of fan of the color choices for the blocking.

      • Kent Roby

I’m fine with it; the colors read as a Matisse reference to me.

        • bitchybitchybitchy

Almost a reference to Matisse’s cut-out work, too.

    • @Biting Panda

      “Three people standing together.”

Oh, this isn’t a contemporary Rorschach test?

    • SewingSiren

      Betty Draper 2014.

    • Dino Bonačić

      good style instincts.

    • Anna

Cute dress. Shoes should’ve stayed with the Jessica McClintock Senior Prom ’86 dress they were matched with.

    • http://redheadedwolf.wordpress.com/ Laura Renee

      She looks great!

    • gingerella

Cute and summery, but the hair could have been brushed/styled a bit. I feel like she deserves a medal for actually wearing seasonal clothing, though.

    • http://www.dogsdotcom.blogspot.com/ Plink

      Grip

    • PinkyK

Her boobs look weird as if she’s wearing a sports bra.

      • jbj

I was thinking that the dress looks better on someone with boobs (her) instead of the model.

    • Imasewsure

I said oooohhh in a good way for a change with her. Never understand the “go versus match” here with the shoes but everything looks great. And breezy which is a nice change from all of the winter we have been experiencing at TLo Central this week!

    • susan6

The dress is great. And it would have been a great opportunity to bust out this season’s hot trend of yellow shoes. But alas….that didn’t happen. Still, everything above the ankles is great.

    • Kent Roby

Summery, interesting design, just needs a big smile to complete the look.

    • suzq

The dress is nice. Meh on the shoes.

    • somebody blonde

      I like it. Super cute!

    • Hallie

      fab

    • MilaXX

You got four colors in that dress and you pink a pink sandal? I’m not feeling it. Cute dress though.

    • Jane Duff

what? why are you asking me these questions…I’m leaving..now

    • SugarSnap108

Cute dress, but I don’t get the shoes choice at all. Or the shoes’ existence, really.

    • marlie

Really cute dress, but wrong shoes. I’m not loving the color, with the dress, but they’d work with something else.

    • Mothra

      She looks very nice. Definitely.

    • KT

Oh thank god. An interesting and mostly cute look to cleanse today’s shit palate!

    • Danielle

Looks better on her than on the model!

    • Sophie

The colours completely separate her breasts, but I still like the dress. And the face. Don’t like the shoes, though.

    • J. Preposterice

what is it with lady stars not wearing proper boob support these days so alllll the bust darts are just a bit off? this dress and karen gilian’s dress from earlier today and I swear it is all over the place, GAH.

    • MannahattaMamma

Love that dress but am wondering what real-life boobs would look like inside such a dress, with a big ol’black splotch on one side. And am a tad horrified at the close-up of the feet & shoes because good lord, who among us has tootsies that would survive such scrutiny? But DK is lovely & elegant & always willing to go that extra mile. Is the show any good?

    • frannyprof

      Love it!

    • Jacob Bowen

I like the dress but the color blocking would NOT work on boobs that were any larger, and the shoes are fine, but boring. The models shoes, on the other hand, are AMAZING.

    • Tee

She looks appropriate for the venue and she’s so pretty. A resounding “in!”

    • a_liking

      LOVE

    • http://www.readbarbara.com/ ReadBarbara

I like a graphic dress, but I can’t help think that mickey mouse is about to come bursting out from under her arm.

    • http://www.bertkeeter.com Bert Keeter

A great design doesn’t just happen in the front with a totally blank back… Sort of lame…It’s like the $99 dresses with all the beading in front and a plain back!

      • SewingSiren

        Casket clothes.

    • GillianHolroyd

I like the shape of the dress, not thrilled with the geometric blocking nor its colors but it is correct for the occasion. Hair and makeup are perfect. The shoes are pointless.

    • evave2

And may I say I HATE the model’s shoes? Ick.

    • E. D.

Love it. The skirt may be too long for an event, but great for sitting.

    • Renaissance_Man_ATL

Gorgeous and seasonally appropriate, thank goodness!

    • decormaven

A simple bangle would have been a nice touch. Love she has color on mani and pedi. She puts in the work on the details; much appreciated.

    • boweryboy

I love how graphic and bold it is, but something seems off. I dunno. Maybe it’s just not her dress?

    • Laura Abrahamsen

I would RUN to get this dress if I thought it would look good on me. Didn’t even really pay attention to who is wearing it, because the dress is all I saw.

    • JimiG

Perfect matching of dress to event (and season!). This is lovely.

    • yllas

Love it! Such an elegant, swishy shape to the skirt, ladylike yet modern. Love it. Love that shade of blue so much.

    • Kikishua

Is it actually less full in the skirt on the yellow side, or is that an optical illusion?

    • fromanotherplanet

She has nice feet. That’s all I got.
