What a random collection of items. Nothing actually works with anything else. The shirt’s terrible, the jacket looks big and smock-y, the shoes are there merely to cover her feet and the pants deserve better. Not that they’re great pants or anything; just that they could probably be the start of a decent outfit, assuming choices other than the ones made here. She doesn’t look horrible, but it’s a head-scratcher of a look. We don’t understand why any of those items were chosen or why they were paired together.

Oh Ann Perkins, you drably mismatched starfish.

    • jilly_d

      I actually LOLed.

    • stubbornthoughts

She needs her Parks and Rec stylist for the rest of her life.

  • Introspective

so let’s get real. i dont want my dentist drilling my teeth with one hand and showing me house listings with another.

i also dont want NONE of this look rashida. and you shouldnt have wanted any of it either.

  • VioletFem

The only thing she is wearing that actually looks stylish is her jewelry.

    • kimmeister

Except the ankle bracelet. That thing’s cheap, not to mention a bad idea to pair with cropped pants.

      • sweetlilvoice

When I saw that I yelled “The 90s!” even thought i know that accessory has been around longed than that.

        • ShaoLinKitten

Anklets were all the rage in the block rockin’ 80s where I grew up (NYC). Especially the tickety-tacky herringbone ones like Rashida’s wearing, with the fresh water pearls and semi-precious bead stones. Ugh. Please tell me that trend is not coming back. Can acid wash be far behind?

    • DuBey2

I’d love to know the deets on that 3rd bracelet. Its gorge.

  • crash1212

She looks great in white! There…that’s my positive comment of the day.

    • evave2

I have pets and would worry like bejeezus if I had to sit down. The white is blinding but I don’t think it would ever look that good again (I assume this is brand new). I also like the jewelry I don’t hate the pants. The blouse does not look right with the jacket.

  • God bless her for wearing an anklet. Makes me nostalgic for junior high!

  • RescueMe23

    This is horrible.

  • Jessica Freeman

I like the pants. Just the pants.

    • kimmeister

I only like the color of the pants.

  • Danielle

    I like the bracelets…

  • Get this woman a stylist, stat. If she is using one, off with her head!

  • Anna

Rashida, you went to Harvard for god’s sake, there is no excuse for this mess!

    • smayper

I live in Cambridge. Believe me, there is not a correlation between the kind of skill that gets you in to Harvard and the kind of skill you need to dress well.

      • demidaemon

In fact, there is probably a correlation between going to Harvard AND not dressing well.

  • Wink

Everything is bad, but the office-wear blouse is the most offensive.

  • Heather

Rashida blows my mind. How can someone be this naturally pretty (rare for Hollywood) and have such TERRIBLE taste? She almost always looks awful in whatever she’s wearing. On the other hand, that shade of lipstick is pretty on her.

    • Capt. Renault

It’s endearing, in a sad sort of way. She never, ever succeeds with an outfit, but always thinks she does.

  • Tee

This outfit makes as much sense as the following: bhfdrygjhpih#%qrcp.

  • Janet B

Brings back memories; I wore the same blouse in 1991 and I had a second one in the blue of her pants.

  • Anna

Visit Rashida at the pop-up Clinique counter in the lobby for your free custom-fit foundation sample, while supplies last.

  • Kent Roby

Rashida is so pretty, and I never see her as being able to get away with any sort of complicated couture, but she could really benefit from having a stylist help her find a clean “effortless” esthetic that works for her.

    • MilaXX

Is Brad Goreski still her stylist, or was that just for his show?

      • Kent Roby

I don’t know, but I can’t imagine that he had anything to do with this look. Gosh, it now seems like a hundred years ago when tv was dominated by Brad G. and Rachel Zoe.

  • Gatto Nero

Yes, this all looks random. And the long, blocky jacket and cropped pants are shortening her legs visually.
So much potential going to waste.

  • conniemd

What is nails on a chalkboard to me about this outfit is that the jacket sleeves are pushed up. The only reason to do that is it’s too hot, so take off the jacket, or the sleeves are too long, so take off the jacket.

  • IAmJ

I love her but girl can’t dress for shit.

  • SugarSnap108

Are shoe bows and ankle bracelets becoming a Thing? I feel like I’m suddenly seeing them a lot (as in, two or three times in a couple days — which is a lot.)

  • nannypoo

I don’t like all the random little jewelry either.

  • Alyssa

Please tell me ankle jewelry is not coming back in!!

  • JAL 512

    Pastor Rashida?

    • formerlyAnon

      Got it!

  • suzq

I have to recuse a full review as I know her make-up artist. I can say that’s not the best dressed I’ve ever seen her.

    • CelandineM

But her makeup artist didn’t put together this crap outfit and her makeup is really pretty here!

  • Aidan B

GIRL. This is inexcusable! You can do so much better.

  • MilaXX

I’m looking at this outfit trying to thing what might have helped. Maybe lose the jacket and swap the suede pump (seriously it’s July, stop it stylist!) for a sandal.

  • Ann Erickson

I haven’t seen anyone wearing an ankle bracelet in years. Wow.

  • cocohall

My first thought is God is she the cutest thing ever. Just so naturally pretty and she looks like she would be tremendous fun to spend time with. She just TWINKLES. But she really hasn’t the first clue about how to dress, which is odd, in that you’d think that she would have seen a parade of fabulousness growing up with both of her parents and their musical and film friends. But she clearly is on the other end of the fashion bell curve from Rihanna, who could take similar pieces and make them sing. Except for the shoes. No one could make them sing.

  • FrigidDiva

Are those the same shoes that Cameron Diaz was wearing in an earlier post, just in black instead of sparkly? I’m not a fan of them in either form.

  • decormaven

“the shoes are there merely to cover her feet”- DYING here. Salute!

  • dash1211

I like the bracelets. That’s it.

  • marlie

I like the color of the pants. I wonder what the shirt under the jacket looks like… maybe she should have just gone with that.

  • Is she the Activities Director for a cruise ship? If so, nice duds.

  • Qitkat

There used to be a LIQUOR DENTIST near my house.

I have a family member who is a dentist; she works with nursing homes and has to wear scrubs, so this would be upscale for her 😉

A white blazer is probably a good basic piece; this is a dire lesson on how to pair ingredients.

    • kimmeister

What in the world? I don’t even understand what a liquor dentist does!

      • Eclectic Mayhem

Gets you drunk and pulls your teeth?

      • Qitkat

It was the signage! Two different businesses that short-cutted their signs in a shopping center and they ran together. We laughed everytime we drove by. I was sad when it changed to something more mundane after being there for years and years.

  • Eclectic Mayhem

It’s a costume party – she’s gone as Iona from Pretty in Pink the way she’s dressed at the end of the film. Your welcome.

  • christykins

I love all of her jewelry and the way her head looks. Unfortunately, all of her clothing needs to be changed. A cute, flowy dress with a summery print would be perfect for this look, but she could have also gone the skinny jeans and blazer look (just not the blazer she’s currently wearing!).

  • Amel

HERE is the Rashida I know and love. Kinda hipster, slightly butch – I would MOST DEFINITELY ask her out if I saw her in a bar. Anyway, ADMIT IT, everyone, if Ellen Page wore this outfit we’d all be like AW YEAH, and that’s because this is a totally lesbian chic look, currently being rocked by a straight lady. Controversial comment? Maybe?

  • demidaemon

TLo pretty much stated my exact thoughts, although this does have an 80ish vibe that I kind of adore, despite it’s not greatness.

  • mrspotts66

holy shite. did i travel back to 1985???

  • Richard

No one is going to clock her for dressing like Dorothy Zbornak? Make the jacket a size bigger, and put her in some sensible shoes, and you have Dorothy.

  • Man Dala

Her style choices in general leave a lot to be desired. I don’t remember you guys EVER giving her a positive review.

  • Jacob Bowen

Rashida stole my pants! I wore those to meet TLo, but they looked SO much better on me!

  • gingerella

I think she has a ravishingly beautiful face and it regularly astounds me that she has never, EVER found an outfit to highlight it. I just don’t get it.

  • E_bee

Are those the same side-bow shoes you guys hated on Cameron Diaz the other day, but in black?

  • formerlyAnon

There was a point in (I think) the late ’80s when I owned every piece of this ensemble. Or much more downmarket versions thereof. (I wore the jacket sleeves pushed up like that, too.)

    • Lattis

I had that exact same thought. Although my jacket was a vintage men’s dinner jacket & kind of off-white. Oh, 80’s . . . I can’t help but love you. Sometimes (secret guilty confession) I still wish I could just perm my damn hair and wear it all big and frizzy.

  • NinjaCate

I like all these pieces. Why do I hate this outfit?

  • yllas

Oh, I kind of like the anklet. I think of ‘real’ jewelry ankle bracelets and ice cream for dogs the same way: totally unnecessary but it must be nice for those who have that extra cash to spend on those things.

  • Shawn EH

I say ditch the pants for a maxi-skirt! Go full-on Lauren Hutton!

  • StrandedFashionista

Oh Brad, Brad, Brad, what did you have to do to get her to wear this?
