A bit too much skin for a Nickelodeon RC… but that could just be the old mama in me.

    • random_poster

She’s just trying to show up the yung’uns. I have to say that it’s probably working.

    • I thought it was quite demure compared to other things she’s worn.

    • demidaemon

Agreed. I think it’s a bit too fancy for this awards show, too.

      • Chicagoguy

Look at the jealous women on here. LOL

  • Another pretty Christmas dress – but this would be acceptable with 2″ more skirt. I think she could also afford more natural-looking extensions and less tacky shoes.

    • kimmeister

While those are extremely high-end shoes, they don’t look it at all.

      • demidaemon

They look like plastic to me, so I agree.

  • Danielle

A little skimpy for a kid’s event, no?

    • Chicagoguy

Green is an ugly color on you.

      • Danielle

LMAO, aren’t trolls usually the green ones?

  • Jessica Freeman

I like the dress and shoes, separately.

  • SewingSiren

We will all laugh at people who wear quilted dresses in Julys.

    • suzq

I see what you did there.

    • MemHey

My first thought: I have used that fabric in multiple quilts.

  • Sobaika

Shoes are straight out of 1998.

    • Little_Olive

I kid you not, Nine West made them in velvet in 1998. I wore them to a wedding. I was able to hold them for 5 minutes.

  • kmk05

… Did she do something to her face? Her makeup is particularly unflattering for some reason. Also, that fabric is much too stiff for July. The shoes are okay, but she really needs to go home and try again.

    • CT14

She did a lot of stuff to her face. I’m not sure if she’s done anything recently, though.

      • sugarkane105

I was just thinking her face looks much more relaxed here than it has in a while.

        • KateShouldBeWorking

I suspect it’s that she’s smiling and not doing Sexy McSexy.

          • evave2

I think from the neck up she looks the best I’ve seen her in quite a while.

I went to see Transformers3 and I must say that Rosie Huntington-Whitley made me think of Megan Fox as a Shakespearean level actress. (That is her name, right? And she is still with Transporter guy?)

      • kmk05

It looks longer than during her Transformer days, for some reason.

    • I think part of the problem with the makeup is the orange carpet – it’s doing weird things to the blue-y pink tones she seems to be wearing on her face.

    • MilaXX

It’s that overly done “beat face”popularized by Kardashioans and reality pseudo-celebs. The makeup is layer on so heavy the wearer looks almost mannequin like

      • I just joined Ipsy and some of the makeup tutorials users upload to their site are unbelievable. A “simple date look” for a day at Disneyland involves completely obliterating your face with BB Cream and multiple foundations/powders, before drawing it back on with various crayons and highlighters. Then you get to start on eyes and lips. I just imagine these girls emerging from the house after two hours of prep and sitting perfectly still wherever they go, so they don’t ruin all their hard work.

        • demidaemon

This sounds like what drag queens have to do to mimic femininity, which should automatically disqualify it for women in general.

      • kmk05

You hit it the nail on the head ( is that the expression?). She looks like a Kardashian 2.0.

  • NMMagpie

Going against the flow: she looks great. Motherhood is doing well by her.

  • Betsy

I think she is just one of those people who make even the most prim outfits look tacky. It may be her calling card though?

    • conniemd

Yeah, I don’t have an irrational dislike of her, just that she lives me totally unimpressed and disinterested.

    • Chicagoguy

  • SugarSnap108

Pretty dress that’s way too short. Paired with footwear from Shoe Mania.

  • decormaven

Cut that hair about 8 inches, and I’d be more invested in this look.

    • EveEve

You meant “remove the extensions,” right?

      • rkdgal

Yep — they’re pretty obvious and don’t help the look at all.

  • Shelby

The pretentious King Lear tattoo bugs the hell out of me. It’s my favorite Shakespeare play. And if she’s read it I’ll eat my sandals.

Sorry if this sounds more bitter than it should.

    • FrigidDiva

Never! You sound like my husband while he watches pretentious hipsters drink PBR.

    • I’m curious, what about her do you know that makes you think she’d get a tattoo of a play she hasn’t read?

      • Shelby

In fairness, nothing. I’ve never seen her in anything except the first Transformers, so she doesn’t really blip on my radar.

Also in fairness: I’m super grumpy today. It’s the last day of my vacation at the beach. 🙂

        • Okay. 🙂 I had to ask. We take a lot of fun on this site in ripping apart women’s fashion, but sometimes it veers into tearing down the women we don’t actually know, and that wears me down sometimes. It’s not just you, of course.

          Hope your vacation was good!

          • Shelby

I totally agree with you, and I try to keep my commentary on the clothing rather than the women. The fact that I’m a literature snob, that this is my favorite play, and the end of vacation was obviously too much for my bitterness-o-meter. Thanks for calling me out! 😀

    • Morgendorffer

Personally I just dislike the font style that she chose for it.

    • demidaemon

It sounds like the perfect amount of bitterness to me.

      • conniemd

Yep. Pretentiousness probably annoys more than anything else except abuse.

  • suzq

The skirt is too short and stiff and it makes her look really thick from the butt through the thighs.

    • Michele Anne Lenni

This girl couldn’t look ‘thick’ if she tried. I can’t buy that, sorry.

  • smh4748

I like the dress, though another inch or two on that hem wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Those shoes are downright awful though.

Is she in something? She was inescapable a few years ago, but I haven’t heard about her much at all for quite some time.

    • CB

She’s has two kids in the past two years so I assume that’s why she’s been out of the spotlight. I’d imagine she’s out promoting something now, though, since she showed up to this random ass awards show.

    • FrigidDiva

She’s in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, but I can’t remember when it’s supposed to be coming out.

      • demidaemon

Well, now I know I can’t go see it. This woman couldn’t act her way out of an open box.

  • KateShouldBeWorking

It appears to pass the fingertip rule and her boobs are put away: I’m ok with this dress for this venue, despite it being dull while also a bit odd.

    • Jacob Bowen

Agreed, it is actually appropriate for the occasion because if she had straps on this it would even be school appropriate.

      • Kitten Mittons

I think it’s actually the cutest she’s looked in quite a while. I wouldn’t be mad at a couple more inches on the skirt, but if I were Megan Fox, I’d show off my legs, too.

    • Thomas

Dull?! But it has KEYS on it!

  • Jacqueline Wessel

Pretty dress, but too short and stiff.

  • Jacob Bowen

    I LOVE that clutch!

  • Kbear

Do those short, stiff dresses come with matching panties? Someone is going to see clear to “kingdom come” if she sits, gets in a car or does some stairs. Humph.

    • MoHub

      I said the same thing!

  • MoHub

I sure hope she has some matching shorts on under that dress.

  • RescueMe23

Hi kids – here are my boobies! Oh yeah – you can look up my skirt too! I’ve got the good china up in here..

  • Jeremiah Capacillo

    That’s Chloe Moretz’s dress.

  • LilyVanessi

Finally, someone figured out a way to recycle old bedspreads.

    • MoHub

I actually like the fabric. But then, I do a lot of period stage work and am happiest in Tudor brocades.

  • PinkyK

A quilt in late July!?! Seriously?

  • Sophie

I love the print, but the dress is very heavy and stiff-looking. Too short as well. I like the purse.

  • Imasewsure

Well she dressed like a teenager for the awards so I guess that works…. some kicky sandals and a haircut might have saved this even with the micro length

  • somebody blonde

    Ugly shoes, nice dress.

  • Shalhevet

I love the cute little dress, and the color brings out her eyes. But there is something very plastic-barbie-doll about her, and the hair doesn’t help in that regard.

  • MilaXX

I wish her shoes didn’t have both a platform AND a wedge but overall she looks cute. It’s an age appropriate, seasonally correct look that’s not black & white.

  • Boulderista

it’s a little sound of music for me, though instead of a dress made out of curtains the dress appears to be made out of the upholstery fabric off a chair at her hotel.

  • AlisonHendryx

Cute dress for October, cute shoes for 2003. Bad hair forever.

  • jilly_d

I don’t hate it, but she needs a ponytail and a shoe that couldn’t be used to club baby seals in the Arctic.

  • StrandedFashionista

The print on the dress is really cool. I’ll give her that.

  • FibonacciSequins

I approve of everything but her tattoo.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

What exactly does it say? I can’t make it out.

      • enchanted216

“We will all laugh at gilded butterflies.”

      • FibonacciSequins

“We will all laugh at gilded butterflies” – paraphrasing Shakespeare.

  • KT

There’s a kid’s choice sports awards? Wtf? Why is she there? Also, this is very mean, but everything on her — from the clothes to the hair to the face– looks synthetic.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

Has she been in any movies lately?

    • MilaXX

She’s in the Teenaged Ninja Turtles movie coming out soon.

      • demidaemon

  • SusannaGA

Speaking of tattoos, has anyone heard why she decided to remove her Marilyn Monroe face? You can just barely see the remains of it here. Just curious.

    • alyce1213

Better question: why did she have a tattoo of MM’s face to begin with?

  • enchanted216

Again, this dress seams to say, “Merry Christmas!” in July…

  • She needs some jewelry and maybe a thing belt, the bag looks a little formal for the dress and shoes, but otherwise it looks like marriage and motherhood have been good to her. One of her better showings.

  • mjmiller77

The dress is cute, but dressier in black. Her accessories seem like an afterthought – they don’t work with the dress at all.

  • Trickytrisha

Like the dress, but the makeup scares me. It’s like she’s wearing light reflecting bronzer which makes her photograph weirdly.

    • CatLady

It’s like we’re looking at her face through a greasy haze.

  • Synnae

Don’t care too much about Meghan, or her very non-summer dress but damn I want those wedges. Just not designed by Louboutin because he designs too narrow for me 🙁

  • Kelly

A sundress made of upholstery fabric. Well, it’s a look.

  • marlie

Oh, she’s still around? The dress is cute, but those shoes look ridiculously painful (and I’m one who usually LOVES 4-inch heels).

  • frannyprof

Bad shoe choice. Does anyone care about this chick anymore?

  • Miss Atomic

The way her hair is teased up in the back makes her look like she has a cone head

  • Michele Anne Lenni

The dress is a little short and the fabric is really heavy for summer. That being said, it looks great on her. I would switch out the shoes for something a tad more delicate since the dress fabric is so heavy. Also: ACCESSORIES! A nice, very simple gold necklace that hung nicely right below her neck would be a nice accent to the look. Overall, for this girl, it ain’t half bad.

  • kimmeister

I’m a bit surprised by all of the “too short” comments. It’s shorter than anything I would wear in public, yes, but we see much, MUCH shorter things regularly on this site (I’m looking at you, Heidi).

  • Little_Olive

    Nothing here is actually pretty.

  • Pterodactyl111

I actually really like this, which is very surprising to me because after reading the headline I expected to hate everything about it.

  • Milos Mom

I like that she’s softened the color of her hair. But she looks a bit cheap and confused like a 17 year old style-wise. I suppose she gave her stylist the night off.

  • Judih1

The shoes seems to casual for the dress. And dress too short for the venue. The fabric to heavy for this time of year.

  • quiltrx

I’m sure the young ‘uns enjoyed those shoes…yeah, clunky to us, but I bet they caught a lot of eyes.
But honey, I have to pull out my line….”you are someone’s MOTHER now.” You don’t have to dress like a Golden Girl, but maybe something a tad longer wouldn’t kill you.

  • Honey, why are you wearing something intended to be slip covers? That is some ugly upholstery.

  • Katherine Leay

    nice dress… hoooorribleeee shoes!

  • Ali2044

The shoes look like something that belongs on a circa 1996 Spice Girl. Dress is way too short and the wrong colour, although that could be the light reflecting off the vomit coloured sign behind her making her skin and hair look a weird colour.

  • webslice33

    she didnt need the botox..

  • Kaonashi

I like the print on the dress, and her shoes. Love it!

  • JynxTheCat

How one so sincerely superior in the looks department and so young could still find reason to, shall I say improve upon, or rather try to…is simply beyond me.
