      Thumbs up!

    • Noah

Not sure I’m sold on the color of the purse, but it’s a small quibble in a really cute look.

    • Anna

Aww, I have a soft spot for Judy Greer. She’s hilarious and WAY underrated. I don’t like the clutch and I think the bodice could be more fitted, but I actually like this. She’s got the height to pull off that length and she looks pretty with her hair up like that.

      • Jangle57

I so agree about her being hilarious and way underrated. The episode of Two and Half Men where she plays the sister of Herb at Judith’s wedding: hysterical. I hope this show is worthy of her talents. Oh and I like the dress on her as well.

        • OffToSeeHim

SO agree! It’s like Judith Ivy – she’s so funny and talented, and it was like no one could write for women at that level back when she kept trying to get a series going. Hopefully TV writing has evolved in the last 15 years!

        • Anna

Hollywood PLEASE make her a star, she deserves it. I’m not familiar with the role she played on Two and a Half Men, but my God, Kitty Sanchez and Cheryl Tunt are some of the best characters ever written.

          • MissusBee

Love Judy Greer more than I love the outfit. Trompe l’oeil pattern and unmatchy lipstick hurt my eyes, but seeing her on these hallowed pages cheers my heart. She’s a bit of a Patricia Clarkson. Hardly ever the lead, but when she shows up you know it’s going to be awesome.

            • bitchybitchybitchy

I would like the dress so much more without that double tier of flounces. I”m also happy to see Judy Greer on TLo. If I remember correctly she played the wife of the real estate douchebag in The Descendants.

            • Anna

She was SO good in that role, I usually associate her with comedy but it was great to see her in a dramatic performance.

            • bitchybitchybitchy

She was-so very, very real as a woman who knows in her heart that her husband is a douche, but keeps going.

            • Anna

Yes! I only saw it once, but I remember being just devastated for her when she goes to the hospital and says she forgives George Clooney’s character’s wife.

            • bitchybitchybitchy

I saw The Descendants in the theater and I’ve watched it a few times on cable, and that scene is so well done;Greer’s character is heartbreaking in that scene.

            • Anna

So true, she makes everything awesome. I just found out that she has a book out, appropriately titled: “I Don’t Know What You Know Me From: Confessions of a Co-Star.”

            • MissusBee

Sounds great. I love showbiz memoirs of the breezy, non-egomaniac kind (smallest literary genre in the world).

            • Anna

Indeed. I suppose her not being a mega-star helps maintain the breezy, non-egomaniac outlook. And I think I’ve read somewhere that she’s perfectly happy with the way her career’s played out. She’s been a part of enough high-profile projects to give her the access to work with some great people and to continue to get good work, but at the same time, her “co-star” status still gives her a bit of anonymity and the ability to lead a somewhat “normal” life. Nothing but respect for that.

            • Bonnie Blue

Since you love breezy, non-egomaniacal memoirs, maybe you’re already familiar with them, but going back a ways, David Niven’s “The Moon’s a Balloon” and “Bring on the Empty Horses” are hilariously wonderful.

            • Jackie4g

              Niven was tops!

            • teensmom99

Loved Greer’s book which I listened to on tape with her reading it.

            • H2olovngrl

She is such a scene stealer in that “the girl can’t help it” kinda way. And let’s face it, she plays crazy better than anyone. Love her.

            • Anna

So true, nobody does unhinged like her. Would love to see her in more dramatic roles as well, after seeing her in The Descendants.

            • Lee

Adding this to my reading list!

    • Kimberly Southern-Weber

      Love! Way to go Cheryl.

    • http://recapscallion.blogspot.com/ Claire

Bag and lipstick color are not quite right for this. The shoes are at least better than the ones on the model. Don’t really get the dust ruffle bit but otherwise a cute dress!

    • SewingSiren

      Love the cha-cha ruffle.

      • J.W.

        Me, too.

    • MilaXX

I like everything except the bag. I don’t care that the shoes and pedicure are matchy. Considering the sea of blandness this summer has been, she’s darn near doing the lord’s work here by wearing color.

      • Kitten Mittons

        Hallelujah and Amen.

      • CelandineM

She’s wearing summer shoes and a summer dress with pattern and color! Hallelujah!

      • EveEve

^Yes! If only I could tuck away those artfully-errant strands of hair.

      • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

        That print is fantastic.

      • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

I’m with you, MilaXX. I don’t even mind the bag that much. She’s not wearing white! She’s not wearing leather! She isn’t exposing random areas of skin via oddly shaped cutouts! There’s no lace over granny panties! Her hair and makeup show that some effort was made! Hallefuckinlujah.

    • carrie

Love that you featured Judy Greer! And she looks lovely.

    • Jennifer Bober

Very cute, but the fact that the bag and shoes don’t quite match is making my eyes twitch. The overtones in those colors are working against each other.

    • Danielle

This is really cute, but I have quibbles with the ruffle hem.

      • MaggieMae

Yes! Super cute, but when I saw the ruffle on the scroll down, it nearly ruined it for me by the subtraction of Chic Points.

      • demidaemon

Same. Although I was much less forgiving and called it a shitty hem.

        • Danielle

I resisted the urge to call it a bed skirt because the rest of it is presh.

          • demidaemon

It does have that feel. If they had just cut that bit off, it would have been great.

    • Kristen

Love this whole look! Must Pinterest the hair….

    • http://heartprintandstyle.com/ Vivi N

      Very pretty.

    • spirit52

    • Alyssa

I really like this! Except for the bag. Love her!

    • ThatVampinLady

This could go frumpy on someone else, but it suits her style to a tee. Hair is adorable; love the lipcolor. Minor quibbles: lipcolor/clutch color/shoe color are battling it out. Also, size up on them sandals, friend.

    • Capt. Renault

      Eyes up here, Michael.

      • Imasewsure

She was so amazing in that show. It allowed me to forgive those horrible commercials she’s in right now (T Mobile? Sprint? Whatevs….)

        • Sarah

Those commercials are the WORST. They are so nonsensical as to be infuriating.

        • another_laura

It’s … GorDON. sheesh. Besides, if you can’t remember the company, the ad isn’t doing its job at all. Pull them! Pull them!

          • Patrick Cleary

As long as Judy Greer is getting residuals, I’m all for them. “Tacos!”

    • marlie

The clutch does not go AT ALL, and neither does the orange lipstick. The dress itself is cute, and I don’t have a problem with the shoes, though I think the matching pedi was a step too far.

    • In_Stitches

I want to love it because I love her, but I just can’t. The length is awkward and the ruffle is very bed-skirt. The red purse and shoes don’t work with the color scheme in the dress and the hair is, well, it’s best friend hair, not hero of the movie hair, and it’s time for her to get the starring role.

      • Neato

I’m glad someone else is saying this… I’m a bit shocked at the overwhelmingly positive comments here. I think this outfit looks a bit frumpy and ages her!

    • FibonacciSequins

Nice and summery with color. What’s not to like?

    • Jessica Freeman

Cut the ruffle off and lose the red accessories and I’d be on board.

      • Jacob Bowen

AMEN. That ruffle and bag are ATROCIOUS.

    • MandyM

Either the print OR the ruffle but not both. And the purse/shoes do not go. Is it me or would this have been a good time to bust out the white pump?

    • Sarah

That’s a cute dress! Love her accessories, too. The ads for the show, however, do not look very good to me. That thing about married people never having sex is pretty tired, IMO.

      • demidaemon

It would be a lot more interesting if they showed the married couple still trying to keep the love life going despite life’s inconveniences, rather than relying on that old schtick.

        • Sarah

Maybe they do – I’ve only seen the ads? I think that’s the premise of that Sex Tape movie, too – like, “let’s make a sex tape so we can be turned on whenever we want since we never get a chance to do it anymore.” All I know is my parents were always doing it (and it was gross) even though they had three kids. So, it can be done.

          • demidaemon

It’s possible, although knowing the channel (FX) and the way shows are written, my optimism is quite low.

    • Danielle

      Suddenly I want bacon.

    • luluransom

Very pretty, except for the hair strings.

    • Imasewsure

I like everything but the purse and the pedie color. Very pretty look on her

    • FrigidDiva

Those Stuart Weitzman shoes may go with this look, but I’m SO sick of seeing them on the RC this summer. It’s like they’re the only sandals available. No more Nudist!

      • kimmeister

But, we’ve seen two pairs in a row that appear to be the right size, so that’s a (tiny) win.

        • FrigidDiva

          True, baby steps I suppose.

    • Kent Roby

The Stuart Weitzman “Nudist” sandal has certainly been the most popular shoe of the summer.

      • smayper

but at least these are not nude in color. Small mercies.

    • Heather

      She looks so pretty!

    • SugarSnap108

Love/want the dress. Clutch and lip color are not good, but those are minor points.

    • evave2

With her hair she looks so cool and summery. LOVE the blue toes.

    • webslice33

looks like a cheap dress you can buy online, advertised thru facebook

    • teensmom99

She looks cute & like a star-as she should. If you haven’t read or listened to her book, I highly recommend it (I listened on tape).

      • HeisenbergHattie

Does she read it herself? What is the book title?

        • teensmom99

Sorry, I didn’t see your comment earlier. She does read it herself and it’s called “I Don’t Know Where You Know Me From: Confessions of A Co-star”

    • Mothra

That is the wrong color purse.

    • alyce1213

I really like her. The dress is so pretty, the Nudist sandals are well deployed, and I like her blue pedicure. The clutch and lipstick colors are wrong, but not enough to ruin an overall great summer look.

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

I would have gone with a different clutch, but she looks great.

    • homofascist

      SPRING BREAK!!!! Wooooooooooooo!

    • KT

She shouldn’t attend a premiere called “You’re the Worst” wearing this outfit… it draws a comparison all too easily

    • HeisenbergHattie

Judy wears this dress better than the model. That’s a pretty cool thing.

    • Shalhevet

Love the dress, hair, makeup (beside maybe the neon lip), pedicure, and, above all, the moma lisa-ish smile.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

This is pushing all the right buttons for me. The clutch is an off-note though.

    • smayper

Great print, and I really love the way the waistband takes advantage of the wavy/moving line in the other direction, if that makes any sense. Extra points because she looks comfortable, weather-appropriate, and is wearing something with NO CUTOUTS, NO sheer fabric, and NO nude shoes. Thank you fashion Jeebus.

    • quiltrx

Hubby and I both love Judy Greer. These colors could be difficult (they would be for me) but the dress looks great on her. The shoes aren’t too off-base for me but the clutch is an eye-twitch.

    • bassfemme

Blue pedicure- how fresh! The whole ensemble is summer perfect.

    • what not

I guess I’m one of the few who don’t like it. The print and color are good to my eye, but the hem is awful and the neckline and fit make it look frumpy. Maybe if she looked like she were having a great time I’d like it better, but as it is she looks as “meh” about it as I am.

    • Captain_Awkward

Great colors for her, and the whole thing is well put together.

    • Thomas

This would look great in Mykonos.

    • gefeylich

For some reason she reminds me of Sargent’s Madame X in these photos. Must be the hair, or the calm demeanor. At any rate, this is the best she’s ever looked – beautiful.

    • Kerry McCombs

      I thinks she looks adorable.

    • LibKat

Liking the dress until I got to the flounces at the bottom. They send it straight to dowdy land for me. And the hair strings have just got to go.

    • Gatto Nero

I guess I’m in the minority, but this looks frumpy to me. The fit isn’t great, the length reads “sister wife,” and the pattern isn’t pretty.
She’s so slender and pretty and had lots more choices, presumably. Why this?

    • frannyprof

      Blake Lively?

    • unbornfawn

It is a cute look. I do have an overwhelming urge to hack off the ruffle and give it a straight shorter hem, for a more sophisticated look.

    • ThaliaMenninger

I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it, either. There’s something jarring and unpleasant about the ruffles and the stripes. And the shoe polish and shoes picking up the colors from the dress? Yeah, I’m not loving it.

    • BLauDGaspode

I’m getting a distinct cheap motel bedspread vibe. Ick.

    • Lisalady161

It’s great until you get to her knees. Wish her stylist had just taken the ruffles off.

    • ChelseaNH

I’m attempting to find the polka dots, and not having any luck.

      • crash1212

They are shadow polka dots…sorta like water marks on a page of paper. Subliminal polka dots, if you will.

    • jackiexx

Very cute! Also maybe I’m just hungry, but all I see is bacon when I look at the print of the dress (which is not necessarily a bad thing…)

    • Elizabeth Szubert

      Love it!

    • Jackie4g

That dress adds weight and volume. Great print, but a full length dress is too much of that print. That fabric should be a top or a skirt, not both.

    • jilly_d

It’s Judy Greer by way of Kiera Knightley! I like it.

    • demidaemon

It’s fine until you get to the shitty hem at the bottom.

      • Shannon Long

I totally agree. The print is cool and I like the the lightness of the fabric, the purse looks cute with it, hair and makeup is fine, she looks relaxed and comfortable, and then it all comes to a screeching halt with that homemade-looking hem.

    • http://armchairauthor.wordpress.com/ LesYeuxHiboux

      Mmmmm. bacon.

    • Sophie

Love the print, but the ruffle is irritating.

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

Hate the shoes but….surprise, surprise I love the dress. Don’t usually go for the longer ones especially on the tiny ladies. But this is cute and simple and very pretty.

    • Joycelyn Watterson-Woods

If only she had ripped off that ruffle…prairie skirt looking part. Otherwise I’m digging it. Oh, except the purse, nope, not loving the added color. This didnt need a pop of color

    • lamh

not for nothing, but can I just say I love Judy Greer.

She’s like the Meryl Streep of Rom-Com best friend/mean girl turned woman roles. She seems to be the go-to girl for that.

    • StrandedFashionista

The red of the shoes and bag DO NOT GO with the dress in the slightest. In fact, this needs something a bit boho to make it work.

    • Nopinkertons

I like the print (though, does it really need wiggly stripes AND textured polka-dots?), but it should never be in a ruffle! For a terrible moment, I thought there was some awful multicolor fringe tacked to the thing.

    • http://msavonelljrose.blogspot.com Avonell

      SO CUTE!!

    • altermyego

A Suno ruffled hem polka-dot maxi dress…where are the polka-dots?

    • Dino Bonačić

LOVE the length of the dress on her – would love to see a necklace!
