Washes her out. How heavy are those earrings?

      • Moocows

You can buy some kind of ear tape that holds those suckers up but im not sure how effective it is.

        • Sophie

They may be clip-ons. Which would still hurt, of course.

        • Constant Reader

Also, pierced earring backs that are disk-shaped help to offset the heaviness. I learned this is the 80s. :)

      • Nicole

        And so BORING!

    • Anapestic

The strapless dresses with the bodices that have points like this bug me. They would almost always look better with straps.

      • Janet B

Always look as if the straps were cut off to me.

    • Stella Zawistowski

Is that her bra peeking out underneath on the right side, or is that just weird wrinkling of the neckline? The look as a whole is not terrible, but the neckline is making me twitch.

      • demidaemon

Unfortunately, I cannot determine where it comes from exactly, but I think it may be caused by the embellishment being badly sewed on.

        • Kitten Mittons

Since the dress is bra colored, it is hard to tell.

    • greyhoundgirl

Terrible fit on the top, terrible slit up the front, terrible roots on the hair.

      • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

Succinct and spot on. Nicely phrased!

    • Thomas

Gurl, that hair is a mess and the fit on that top is atrocious.

    • decormaven

That gown needed to be fitted like a dream in the bodice to make it work. It’s not, and the look suffers for it. That’s a lot of earring – too long on her.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

This looks like one of those times when the stylist should have found a very gracious way to say no and find another, better fitting gown for her client-I’m assuming that Elfman uses a stylist, of course.

    • kfizz

I hate this. Despite all of the obvious structure to the dress, it somehow looks shapeless on her.

      • Anna

I agree, the embellishment makes her mid-section look thick.

    • Fanny_Trollope

      Awful color. Noncolor.

      • Anna

Seriously. Who fantasizes about going to a formal event with a red carpet and putting on a gown that’s the same shade as their everyday, go-to nude bra.

        • Kitten Mittons

I had to walk through a Forever 21 today to get to the mall, and there was so much beige and pink and pinky beige and beigey pink, I almost threw up in my mouth a little. I fear for the young’uns.

    • myandyleigh

Jenna and Renee Zellweger should play sisters in something. The aging process (or maybe it’s the battle against the aging process, AHEM) is making them look very much alike these days.

      • Imasewsure

Add Auntie Sharon (Stone) to the family. Work or no work, seems like Hollywood Blondes of a Certain Age start to look alike at a certain age….

      • cmb92191

Put in Tea Leoni for a triplet show

      • Coleen

I would have thrown in Rosamund Pike as well, but so far she’s safe.

        • carnush

          I thought Rosamund Pike too.

      • Fitzperry

I’m seeing Laura Dern in the closeup.

      • smh4748

As I scrolled down, I thought “So THAT’S what happened to Renee Zellweger!”

    • @Biting Panda

I know she’s not Dharma, but I still need her to be breezier than this. This oddly heavy, poorly constructed and giving her a pasty complexion and harsh hair.

    • Anna

Dharma dreamed she was at the Celebration of Dance Gala in her Maidenform slip.

    • AlisonHendryx

did she do something to her face, or did she stop doing something to her face?

      • greymain

        EXCELLENT question! She just looks…odd?

      • http://www.readbarbara.com/ ReadBarbara

She does look different in a I-can’t-put-my-finger-on-it way. Maybe its just very different makeup. She doesn’t look bad by any means, or even obviously “freshened,” just different. Although the brows are a bit overcooked for my taste. Maybe that’s it.

      • wisdomy

I think it’s just that her eyebrows are overdone. Smile all you want, Jenna, but those brows are angry.

        • TAGinMO

Not so much over-done as under-waxed, -plucked, and -bleached.

    • greymain

is that kleenex in your bra??? girl this is no one’s dress.

    • clevRcat

      Scary brows. Why?

      • kimmeister

They are way too dark for her hair color.

      • MilaXX

Because the brows are her natural hair color, However since she has colored the rest of her hair she should have lightened the brows at least one shade so they aren’t so jarring. Wearing a lipstick in an actual color would help balance them out as well.

    • Mismarker

My mind cannot register anything south of the horrible hair and brows.

    • teensmom99

I know people aren’t liking the face but I love the make up.

    • MartyBellerMask

Ooh, I was gonna say the makeup is harsh, then I noticed the weird bustline. Then it was the painful earrings, then the bodice- WTF?? Too many bad/ questionable elements to count. If this look has any redeeming qualities, I am too distracted to find them. Better luck next time Jenna.

      • MartyBellerMask

And I’m pretty sure those are not the right shoes…

    • Danielle

Why are the eyebrows so jarring?

      • kimmeister

Because they are 87 shades darker than her bangs?

    • Joanna

Everything about this screams mid-80s/Dallas to me. Wrong decade, girl.

    • connie238

What has she had done to her face?

    • sundaynightaddict

Dishwater dress + crazy brows = no. But I’ll take that clutch. See, I said something nice!

      • alyce1213

        Also, she has good posture.

    • MilaXX

The dress needs to be an actual color. This blah color looks weird with the silver inserts. All the jewelry in the world can’t help it.

    • Rhonda Hanson

pretty sure those are jimmy choo shoes not manolo.

    • crash1212

Those earrings and that clutch and sorta the shoes – all keepers. Her head – sans the paint by number brows – looks great. I like the idea of this dress, but that fabric doesn’t seem to welcome the embellishment and the color is deadly dull.

    • Sarah

Ugh, no. Her weird hair/brows and lackluster dress have been aforementioned, so I’m going to point out that I also don’t care for her shoes or think they “go” in any way with that dress.

    • KendraMR

No, no, no to everything, but especially to her eyebrows. If there’s one rule I believe that should never be broken, it’s the one where you lighten your eyebrow color if your have blonde hair.

    • Denise Rambo

That neckline is weird and her eyebrows are overtaking her face.

    • HomeOfficeGirl

It’s good to see her! But it’s not good seeing her like this…

    • Call me Bee

Not the greatest color on her, but she looks fab above the shoulders.

    • ThaliaMenninger

      WTH happened to her eyebrows?

    • Tracy_Flick

They embellished the bodice and then forgot to continue onto the skirt. How embarrassing. It looks half-assed.

    • Jackie4g

Her eye brows are beautifully delineated.

    • frannyprof

She & Ms. Applegate must use the same celebrity-hating stylist.

    • demidaemon

      That’s a sewed up ugly curtain/bedsheet. YUCK.

    • FibonacciSequins

This is the first I’ve noticed her resemblance to Jennie Garth. Boring dress.

    • anotherkate

Oh no, please don’t let Old Bras be coming back as a red carpet trend. I fucking hate beige.

    • Lex

I don’t think her eyebrows were drawn on with a thick enough Sharpie here.

    • http://twitter.com/janedonuts Jane Donuts

The dress and hair and makeup are whatever, but those shoes just made me sad.

    • BLauDGaspode

This is all just so… sad. So very, very sad. Droopy, bland, and boring also come to mind.

    • http://www.bertkeeter.com Bert Keeter

      Dull….just dull!

    • evave2

I think she looks better the further away the photo. I bet she looked great walking around.

I don’t have pierced ears, but those earring look super painful, and I think they are too matchy with the dress. The shoes also look painful, but they look like “suffer for fashion shoes” and that she spent the whole night looking for a chair.

    • formerlyAnon

Not bad. A tad less rippling around the boobs, a smidge shorter – only half an inch – in the front hem and this would be sooo much better. Add some color and it might be fab!

    • marlie

Aside from the color being all sorts of bland, it doesn’t really look like the dress is made all that well. There’s something wonky going on with the construction in the bust and on the side of the bodice. I mean… are those the cups that are showing through?

    • quiltrx

I can’t really tell what’s going on with that bodice, whether it’s stuff out of place or too much stuff or what…I do like the embellishments but the color is just awful.
I had to really concentrate to make this Jenna Elfman. Something oddly Zellwegerian going on…

    • amf0001

dazzling ear rings, awful bodice. She’s done something to herself to make her look more … generic

      • LJCdoc

From the pic on the right, second row down, it looks as if she’s been Zellwigered.

        • deliadee

You’re right, I love her but I thought she was looking different. She DOES look like RZ!

    • Shibori Girl

First picture – is that the garment facing I see on the right side?! Nobody bothered to check to see that the inside stayed in? Sorry but that fox pox (Faux pas if you are being classy) cannot be overlooked. That is a big fail. Some stylist needs to go.

      • Cordelia_Gray

I work with someone who pronounces “faux pas” as fox paws. At first I thought she was joking, but she was serious and trying to be fancy.

    • e jerry powell

Well, it’s summer, and we must make Nigel Lythgoe feel important. Or something.

    • MarissaLG

All that sparkle is a little tacky, but I thinks he looks nice.

    • Mrs. O

Boring. So boring. Wake me up when she wears a color.

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

i love the huge gaudy earrings on her, a hippie girl after my own heart. i even like her hair, although i would tweek the ends under instead of out. but i guess that’s old school.

    • suzq

I’m not fond of the puckering around the bead trim or the bunny ear bodice, but she looks fantastic. Those earrings must weigh a ton.

    • Kelly

I like the dress — white and silver is attractive for summer, and the lines are chic — but the bodice is ill-constructed and puckery, her hair is terrible, and. . .silly putty sandals? Really?

    • Katherine Leay

i don´t like the dress but her face looks beautiful
