Make the Peter Pilotto stop. PLEASE, make it stop!

      • Pablo Ulloa

now i get it! Vera and Gwendoline washed their dresses together and they forgot to check out the pockets for candy, paper and f*kcking ugly things!

      • evave2

Yeah two in one day and they both miss.

Agree about the color being wrong on her; liked it better as a 3/4 sleeved dress on the model. Maybe she is so tall they would’ve had to custom- make the dress? I think she is 6’4″ or 6’5″ and she looks all strong (I won’t say muscled after Jada Pinkett Smith, because I don’t see the definition that Jada has earned, but wow, it was totally believable when her character beat The Hound to a pulp.
Makeup is nice and makes her very pretty (eyes a little dark, but then she has to project her face over a crowd and without it she’d be a pink blur facially).
I have never liked that style of shoe, there is no there there but a platform to which the foot is tied.

        • FibonacciSequins

Was she ever a contender for the Wonder Woman role?

          • FrigidDiva

If she wasn’t she should have been. I really haven’t seen that Gal Gadot in anything so I can’t comment on her acting ability, but appearance wise I’m not feeling it. We always expect the men to bulk up to play superheroes, and while I don’t think she needed to go to Jada Pinkett level buffness, she just seems to slight and slender to be believable as WW.

            • FibonacciSequins

              Co-signing all of that.

    • RussellH88

Bad color for her skin, and it looks like she fell on a bunch of Christmas ornaments.

    • ninamadeleine

Not that the pattern is terrific, but wouldn’t the dress version of this be so much better? The hair and makeup are so terrific.

    • http://fibonaccisequins.storenvy.com/ Danielle

      *RAGE QUITS*

    • Mothra

Was she attacked by a bloody toddler who flew into a rage during finger painting time?

      • whaddami

I was just wondering when Pilotto hired my 2 year old to “decorate” his designs. Seriously, this looks like a pre-school mother’s day craft project.

        • Mothra

upon second view, I am pretty sure the red is pieces of lobster.

          • demidaemon

So, on top of the dress being ugly, it stinks too?

        • bitchybitchybitchy

Or a tragic misfire with very large, ugly sequins and a glue gun

    • Glam Dixie

I remember when we did the wax paper with crayons and an iron thing in art class in elementary school.

    • NMMagpie

She is such a bad ass!! But… not in this outfit.

    • sienna elm

I got all confused when I saw this pop up. I thought, “we have already seen this one, oh well – maybe it was re-posted.” I prefer the earlier Pilotto dress. This just looks boring.

    • clevRcat

Brienne of Tarth sure is gorgeous! But, I hate her shoes (which are too small). The dress is meh. Some visual interest — in a craft project kind of way —
but not a great color for her.

    • didgerdoni

Attention all pale-complected celebrities, please allow me to share a hard-earned life lesson: when you ARE pink, you cannot WEAR pink. I adore her and her character and I only want nice things for both of them.

      • Imasewsure

Exactly… words to live by (and not to fade in to pink on pink nothingness)

        • demidaemon

Yes. This. pretty much, one cannot where clothing in their exact skin tone (or close to it) because it does bad things.

      • mshesterp

A fact I had to learn the hard way. Excellent advice.

    • Kitten Mittons

This is still a Nope. But even more of a Nope because that ain’t her shade of pink.

Dear, wear a dress in pretty much any one of the other colors that is splattered across your front.

    • MissFern

petal boobs. that’s all i can see.

      • 3boysful

I was wondering if someone was gonna call this out for the boob spots. Clearly this was selected sans a try-on. Bad move.

    • S-k-s

I often don’t like her sartorial choices, but can’t resist the joy she radiates. She always seems so happy and lovely.

    • teensmom99

Now I really see how much better Vera Famiga’s version is.

    • Aidan B

I don’t love that pink on her, and I think she should have stuck with just a dress rather than separates, but this isn’t tooo bad. And her head looks great!

    • marlie

The base color (the pink) isn’t quite right for her skin tone, but it’s saved by the embellishments. I have to say, these two Peter Pilotto pieces from today have served their respective ladystars fairly well (though not without issues). Also, Gwendoline’s hair and makeup look great, though I’m not quite on board with the shoes.

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

I am not on board with those shoes but I AM on board with her wearing heels in defiance of all that nonsense about tall women not wearing hells.

        • marlie

Yeah, I certainly don’t have a problem with heels in general (and my opinion is the higher, the better), but these particular shoes aren’t doing it for me.

As an aside, I am tall as it is, and taller than the bf when I wear heels, and it doesn’t seem to bother him one bit.

          • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

Good! I know a couple of girls with very short partners (English men seem to run to short) and they feel obliged to not wear heels. Which I think is a shame.

    • tessasouthworth

I don’t care how unsightly whatever she’s wearing is. She so obviously happy that she just makes me smile!

    • FibonacciSequins

That color is so very wrong for her. Aside from that, I think the dress on the model looks better than separates.

    • Anna

Did Hollywood stylists cash in a special Comic-Con Groupon at Peter Pilotto or something?

      • Kitten Mittons

Couture Groupons, I like this idea. Mostly because those that have All The Money are often types to use coupons. You don’t stay rich by spending!
        Couture Groupons = Croupons?

        • Anna

*Up to 75% off Peter Pilotto!

*Redeemable for Broken Christmas Ornament Craft Collection only, stylist’s client MUST use at Comic-Con 2014*

          • Kitten Mittons

*No alterations allowed. No finger guns, air kisses, or peace signs allowed while photographed in the garment. Dress may or may not look anything like the garment you freaking ordered.

        • demidaemon

In this case, I am going to call them “Crapons.”

    • Dagney

      well, no.

    • KT

Didn’t we just see this dress?? Vera Farmiga is wearing it much better. This is not good, and that color is way too close to her skin tone. She looks like a walking Valentine’s Day card.

    • Dino Bonačić

can’t hate on her. I don’t even watch Game of Thrones and she seems so charming and lovely (abusing this word today).

This does looks a bit washed out but I love the H-silhouette for her!

    • carpediva

She looks radiant. But oh dear gods, the gripping.

    • mjude

is it ok that I don’t like the glue on stones?

      • alyce1213

        It’s more than ok.

    • Anglow

At first look, I thought she had very unattractive skin but then I realized it is the color of the dress and shoes on her. Hair and makeup, love.

    • Imasewsure

Wow horrible unflattering style, horrible base color, ugly amateurish embellishments – and those shoes we hate. YEAH! It’s perfectly awful!!

    • formerlyAnon

This is such a near-miss (I would have liked it fine-if-no-fireworks if not for the wrong-pink/salmon/peach/whatever of the base color) that I hope she isn’t paying someone to dress her. I-thought-it-worked-until-I-saw-the-photos is something we can usually all do for ourselves.

    • RCH

      I love her hair.

    • anyalama

Still better than pink satin and Myrish lace, I suppose.

      • Coolekat

Don’t you love how they feminized her knight casual clothes? Love that longer jacket.

    • Kathy Marlow

Can you imagine this getup in blue? without all the froofraws all over it? I still cannot get over how gorgeous she is when she isn’t Brienne. Almost “Monster” level transformation.

    • nannypoo

This is the worst possible color choice for her. It would be bad on anyone, but with her coloring it’s especially bad on her.

    • msdamselfly

      So cute

    • FrigidDiva

I really love her face, I think because of the smile she almsot always has on the red carpet. That being said, I HATE this dress and the shoes. She’s such a beautiful woman, can someone please find her something beautiful to wear?

    • @Biting Panda

      iBoobs.

      • DebbieLovesShoes

        Now I see it

    • Pennymac

“And then I took the muslin, and dip-dyed it Bazooka Joe Pink, and used the aquarium rocks to give it an “edge” and make it “fierce”. Anonymous PR contestant to Nina on the unconventional materials challenge.

    • crash1212

I love her head – great hair. I don’t hate the outfit. Her toes aren’t being displayed to their best advantage.

      • Coolekat

        An unfortunate choice.

    • MoHub

Never thought I’d say this, but Pilotto is beginning to make Stella McCartney look good. (Dodging tomatoes)

    • http://www.lippsisters.com/ Deborah Lipp

She works overtime to prove she’s not Brianna of Tarth.

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

She does – trying to ensure future employability should Brienne be untimely ripped from GoT. On the other hand, I saw a thing with a couple of her co-stars saying what a very girlie girl she is and how much she likes that sort of thing, so maybe it’s just an excuse to wear pink when she’s in mufti?

        • Mim McDonald

Yeah, I’ve heard her in interviews saying that she’s always liked to look very feminine.

      • MilaXX

I wonder. It may just be like Christina Hendrix and January Jones her tastes varies so sharply from the character she plays that she challenges our expectations of her. Unlike Brienne, I think Gwen is simply a girly girl.

        • http://www.lippsisters.com/ Deborah Lipp

If she is a girly-girl, all the more reason to make sure that she looks like herself and not Brienne (thanks for the spelling correction) on the RC.

    • MilaXX

It’s cute, it’s casual and it’s seasonally appropriate. It’s not setting the world on fire but I don’t hate it.

    • http://tracismixedbag.com tracismixedbag

I’m not feeling the shoes but I think she’s quite lovely.

      • kimmeister

Vera’s shoes would’ve gone better with this dress.

    • Sam Smith

This really gives me the sads.

    • Gatto Nero

      Another PP glue gun special.

    • Amel

Hair and makeup is on POINT.

    • Katie

Abstract boob pasties and a rose petal happy trail!

    • Freynika

It would be less awful if the fabric was pretty much any other color and it had a shape. I still hate fake crystals as focal points, though. Like grandma’s costume jewelry got uppity.

    • Coolekat

Take in the dress a bit, pair it with different shoes, throw in a few posing lessons and you have one fetching Maid of Tarth. She has beautiful skin, gorgeous legs. Never seen her face look so good. Great makeup.

    • lilibetp

Am I a bad person for thinking this is kind of cute?

    • Tracy_Flick

Just as ugly as Vera Farmiga’s dress, and twice as shapeless!

    • Eclectic Mayhem

Oh, the other frock she wore for the GoT panel was great and she had a wonderful ‘marcel wave’ type hair do…

      This? Not so much.

    • Man Dala

      Head looks great.

    • suzq

For a Peter Pilotto, IT’S NOT BAD. I have to grade Pilotto on the same curve as McCartney. I liked the outfit better when it was a dress, but less in the white. So if it were a pale pink dress, I’d be ok with it.

    • jilly_d

On the dress: NO. Unrelated: WHEN are we going to get more of the American Millenium Trilogy? I want Gwennie here to play Figuerola from the third novel.

    • spirit52

      AWFUL!

    • ‘Becca’lise Deveaux

      THOSE TOES.

      • http://www.snoskred.org/ Snoskred

Her feet seem to be sending us a message – is it peace, or f**k off?

We may need a toe language interpreter for this one. :)

    • MyFavoriteColorIsGlitter

This is obviously god awful, but can we talk about her gorgeous face??? Beautiful! Amazonian Angel!

    • demidaemon

This is quite restrained for PP, but this is definitely a case of GTNYD (though I’m pretty sure it’s nobody’s dress) because it is making a beautiful girl look rather unpretty.

    • somebody blonde

Well, that’s certainly not her color. But good makeup job!

    • Irina Ryabchuk

Did someone sneeze their fruit dessert onto her? What a mess.

    • St. Ace

I’m always so happy to see her face, she’s beautiful! I wonder if her height makes it harder to find dresses?

      • Synnae

Yes, I’m 6’2″ and I only have a select few designers where I know I can shop without any trouble regarding fit. She is even taller. And it is not just the height that is a problem for tall women, everything is bigger so we automatically need bigger sizes. Gwen is a normal size for her height – I think she is an EU42 or so and designers? Well we know how good they are with bigger sizes.
And even if they have them, it is usually not tailored to where our boobs, waists and hipbones are.

    • Anplica Fiore

Her mom is going to be so pissed when she gets home & finds out Gwendoline fingerpainted on her favorite dress!

    • MightyMarshal

Who is this woman and why does her back hurt so bad.

    • http://www.dogsdotcom.blogspot.com/ Plink

      Better left as a dress

    • Mary Lauer

This pale pink looks GREAT on her, and she looks like she feels great in it. Win for me!

    • Artsygrl69

You may think me crazy but I see a playful take on an elephant with two eyes, tusks, front legs and a long trunk
      Nope, I’m just crazy!

    • RoseJB

Is it just me, or does splitting the look into separates make the skirt look a little menstrual?
