Danielle, sweetie. This is all super-cute, but there is a LOT going on here.

Pink, orange, purple, two shades of yellow and whatever that seafoam-like color in your necklace is called. Girl, we love color as much as any two queens can, but sometimes, you’ve gotta pull back on the throttle. We’re talking editing. First thing to go is that necklace, since the neckline doesn’t really call for one. The nails are fun, so we’d suggest keeping them and ditching the yellow pumps for a neutral pair; perhaps a pale gray with slight lavender undertones. To tie into your purple hair, of course. See? We’re working with you.

She really has the best smile ever.

Taystee girl! You’re giving me My Littl Pony vibes with the long purple locks there. Your ensemble is as colorful as you are. Call me whenever you want to get into a little mischief!

    • http://fibonaccisequins.storenvy.com/ Danielle

She has the most beautiful face, though.

    • L’Anne

      Oh, Danielle,
We love ya here at Chez L’Anne. Our dogs love your show, and they smile and wag when they hear your name and your voice (in the show). But your necklace is hideous. Unless it is pool floats or a stealth pill box, just toss it into a body of water. Love the dress, a bit more on the hem would be nice. Just a smidge, dear. Oh. And the hair tips, just say no. I did that tip-thing in the 80s. THE 80s. Kisses!

    • marlie

I don’t even like the dress on her. It seems a little too high-waisted and twee on her. Otherwise, ditch the necklace, the shoes, AND the purple hair, and then let’s talk.

    • MilaXX

I’d be okay with her getting rid of the necklace and changing the hair. I don’t mind the color, but the style is awful.

    • PastryGoddess

You will look at Taystee or ELSE! Best smile ever

    • AuntyStephy

sorry, but I love this. All of it. It’s so exuberant.

      • heartbot

Agreed. This makes me so happy, I don’t care if she’s overdoing it. At least she’s overdoing it with fun. :)

    • KT

She is so adorable!! But yes, there’s a bit too much going on. The necklace and the yellow accessories were a bridge too far, for sure. But I really love everything else, especially her hair, and it bears repeating that she is just so adorable. Love her.

    • Tricia Rose

As a full figured woman I LOVE ASOS’s Skater Dresses!! They cut it perfectly for us ladies! Danielle looks fabulous and I’m sure as she gets used to this camera hungry world, the assessories will fall away and we’ll get to bask in her pretty awesome face!

      • DB Ruberto

Never knew of such! Thank you so much!

      • Kent Roby

I was just thinking how this dress can look good on a tiny thing like Taylor Swift or someone with a fuller figure, thanks to the structure of the bodice. The tagline for this dress should be “From Tay to Taystee”!

    • SugarSnap108

Love the dress on her, and her smile. Agree on all the TLo-prescribed changes, but I’d add: Rethink that hairstyle.

    • http://tvblogster.blogspot.com Boop

Do not love the necklace, but Danielle is rocking that dress. Gorgeous lady.

    • Michael

this look is beyond criticism IMO…look how happy and comfortable she looks in it. isn’t that what’s important?

    • appliquer

Love the dress. So tired of the lemmings and their yellow shoes.

    • spirit52

HATE the necklace, shoes, and hair. LOVE the dress…on someone else.

    • Janet B

Take off one thing, preferably the necklace.

    • SophieCollier

Or do like the model and put that teal color on your feet.

      • Sophie

I love the way the model is styled, which is rather rare.

    • somebody blonde

Yeah, the necklace was what Coco would’ve taken off.

    • ankali

That silhouette looks great on her.

    • SistaT

Necklace and purple hair have to go. Metallic sandals – gold or even better, bronze.

    • http://www.dogsdotcom.blogspot.com/ Plink

Ditch the necklace and you’re good to go! Super cute otherwise!

    • Amelia Ross

her hair is… bad. so bad.

    • d4divine

That is some African queen fabulousness right there!!

    • gitchygitchymama

those sleeves have no lift which is mess’n with the fit of that pretty confection.

    • bitchybitchybitchy

Danielle has such a fabulous smile. Now, listen to the uncles and ditch the necklace, swap out the yellow shoes for the uncles’ choice, and you will be truly fine.

    • Gatto Nero

The shape of that dress doesn’t work for her, and the waistline hits her too high. The warm colors are pretty on her, though.

    • cocohall

When a girl’s public image is linked to a horrible pair of orange scrubs and little else, she can be forgiven for wanting to wear every color and every accessory imaginable the first chance she gets. And this is for the Young Hollywood Awards, and not the Emmys. She has a few months to get herself ready for that event and I hope that the good counsel of the uncles and the BKs reaches her in time. She is beautiful and with some better styling, could be KILLING it.

    • siriuslover

I like the dress on her. Flattering and cute. Hate the nails and shoes, though I suspect, like you, if she got rid of the shoe color the nails would work better. And purple hair actually _works_ here.

    • Sweet Leilani

I love her she has it all working out for her pretty self kudos to her stylist at least she is not looking like some elderly woman . She is looking really on que

    • Dino Bonačić

I wanna hang out with her. RIGHT NOW.

    • Sam Smith

As with the Angela Bassett dress, I would have liked this more in a sheath silhouette.

    • KateMaryC

I HAVE THAT NECKLACE. From Anthropologie a few years ago, which means she hit up her own jewelry collection for this one. I love that.

      • teensmom99

I actually love the necklace and think it works with the dress. I hope you have fun with your version.

    • Wink

Yellow nails and shoes aside, she gets an “A” for effort. She’s definitely putting in the work and not resting on her gorgeous smile and adorable dimples.

    • GillianHolroyd

Gorgeous dress…but it’s too small. The sleeves are riding up and it’s straining across the chest. Necklace is horrid and was probably added because the color was similar to the model’s accessories. Love the hair.

    • boweryboy

Oh… I thought you guys were going to mention that the proprotions are waaaaay off.

I like everything about this look from the weird bump-it hair to the crazy lady accessorizing to all of the colors. It’s just that the dress is too small and too short and does nothing for her figure. Basically, this is not her dress.

    • Heather

I must say, yay for ASOS! I think 1/2 my wardrobe comes from there recently – have gotten such cute stuff at great prices, it’s stuff no one else has (everyone in my little town shops at the local Banana Republic outlet, hence there’s a lot of unintentional twinning), and free shipping both ways.

    • RescueMe23

      My retinas are burning..

    • BLauDGaspode

I did not realize her hair was purple there. I thought it was just some kind of weird problem with bright colors and lighting and the background.

    • Constant Reader

Another bunch of bad accessory choices taking away from a perfectly cute dress. Also: Danielle is WAY to young and gorgeous for the aging Hollywood diva makeup. Fire that makeup artist, STAT.

    • Miranda

      Girl…call Amber Riley’s stylist…NOW!

    • yethica

See… I have to admit that I would probably wear this exact outfit. Overabundance of color and all. I like to be a walking cacophony.

    • Lex

Fabric is too heavy, too poufy. Fun colors though… but the shoes take it too far.

    • Kathleen B

      she is just so cute

    • Michelle Gennari

      Adorable!

    • Izzy_Gremlin

I think they pulled the turquoise-ish necklace in because ASOS accessorized with that color in the promo photo, honestly. Different skin tone, different hair, different attitude on the lady wearing it, though. I’d ditch the necklace (nothing needs to compete with that dazzling smile), opt for neutral or gold (or something not chartreuse) shoes, and give her a clutch with a spike of that vibrant purple somewhere in it.

    • GemFemme

Hate everything about it except her gorgeous face.

    • angela rose

I know I am two days late to this game, but boy, she is beautiful. (no comment on the clothes, just on that beaming face!)

    • StarburstLady

Eh, I think the colors are the best thing about this look. The silhouette certainly doesn’t get any points for edge. Honestly, I think the skirt ought to be an inch or two longer, and a belt would help. Also, this dress by ASOS looks like a total knock-off of Tracy Reese to me, who would have made the proportions a bit better and used a nicer fabric.

    • dschubba

I want to shank whoever did her hair.
