    Sploosh.

    Love it.

  • Kimmu

I intensely love a lot of this. Just so colorful and playful and fun while still looking fairly chic

    • Sara Brams-Miller

      Surprising, right?

  • Bad Idea Jeans

Now I want tights with felt flowers appliqued onto them.
I love all of this, though I doubt I could get away with wearing any of it.

    • Sarah

AAAAaaand a new Etsy shop is born.

      • formerlyAnon

Don’t you mean *twelve* new Etsy shops? (The first week.)

        • Sarah

You mean I’ll have competition?!?!?? *furiously cuts out felt flowers and pins them to tights*

  • conniemd

There are some actually wearable pieces in this collection – in addition to the very editorial ones. I really look the flower prints and the coats and jackets. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Shelly O in one of his jackets, she’s done it before.

    • Daisy Walker

I want to see her in that tweedish skirt suit, but she could WERQ a lot of the pieces in this collection. I love it.

      • Juliette Wojciechowski

Forget that! I want to see MYSELF in that tweedish suit. Shelly can get her own clothes. 🙂

    • e jerry powell

That’s what I keep telling myself with every Browne collection — to keep myself from hunting him down and slapping him.

If only the majority of the pieces he shows were serious clothing…

    • Darren Nesbitt

Look 16 (floral dress with all the vertical seams) is a warm weather evolution of her inauguration coat. I would love to see her in that this summer.

  • Coleen

The shoes all look super fun.

    • kimmeister

      And wearable!

  • PastryGoddess

I’m really loving this. God that man can tailor

  • FibonacciSequins

There’s a lot to love here. The long skirt with the strips is verging on costume-y, but I think most of the pieces are wearable. Fresh and exciting collection.

    • Imasewsure

Exactly… It’s nice to see something fresh that isn’t batsh&t crazy

    • penguinmom

      Love your moniker.

  • NomadicRose

Love this. Unreservedly. I especially like the skirts with the fringe. That fourth one it just gorgeous and the various tweeds are lovely. I’m actually amazed how much of this is wearable.

  • @Biting Panda

    Loving it!!

  • Judy_S

Love the mix of floral, plaid, stripe. Do not like the dress with the pleated skirt–it looks uncomfortable despite being so relaxed in outline. It would have to hit you just right…..

    • kimmeister

Yeah, the 2 dresses with the polo top and the super deep V to transition into the pleated skirt are the biggest clunkers in this collection for me.

      • kerryev

For me it’s the skirt that turns to strips.

        • kimmeister

I would never wear those, but they made me smile because they reminded me of the cover of an Archie comic I had a billion years ago, and either Betty or Veronica had on a dress with a skirt just like that!

          • Whever

Ah yes, the “Carwash” skirt. Adorable in pin-ups, not so adorable when caught in subway doors.

  • DuBey2

LOVE. 1 question though, does the dress 5 up from the bottom (large pix) come with the putting green attached, or can it be removed?

  • That tweed-y dress coat with the red-ringer overlapping collar is tdf.

  • Joanna

It looks like I will be in the minority here – while there are individual pieces that I like, generally, I find most of them to be completely unattractive.

    • 1964edithgrove

When I scrolled down all I could think was, “He really must hate women.” Imagine my surprise…

      • Kent Roby

Comparing this to his men’s line, I would say that he hates men more.

        • formerlyAnon

With the exception of underweight adolescents.

    • Mylynka

I’m with you. These made my eyes hurt.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

I’m not a fan of Browne, but there are some pieces in this collection that look more wearable, particularly if you take one or two pieces and team them with a solid top/bottom. Some pieces look as if they’re really there for the runway only. The orange hose remind me of the shade of orang-y tan that the early self-tanning lotions turned one’s skin.

    • MaggieMae

I am admiring the fabrics. And the colors. The actual pieces? Not so much.

    • evave2

I agree. All I could think of WHERE is this Resort? The 8th and 12th where she is wearing a skirt over pants was like a person suffering from dementia or homeless and wearing everything she owns..

Some of the tweeds are very nice though.

But again, WHERE is this Resort?

      • sundaynightaddict

Too funny. I was also thinking, “what resort world is this for and how do I avoid ever going there?”

      • demidaemon

FINALLY! Someone sees what I’ve been seeing! Tweed is pretty much the opposite of resort.

    • demidaemon

My bigger problem is that this does not read as resort AT ALL.

  • Laurieandclaire

I will admit that normally, I just don’t get Thom Brown. But this, I am totally loving!

  • marlie

Pretty! There are a lot of looks that I love as-is, and a few that I’d really like if the components were separated out a bit. But few real clunkers. Love it!

  • VioletFem

This is so intensely beautiful. Love it!

  • Constant Reader

Is the theme flowers? Because it’s so subtle, I’m not sure.

Seriously, there is some really cute stuff here, although some of it seems randomly combined — especially the shoes.

  • MilaXX

Love this collection! That purple/orange floral dress is screaming Shelly O.

  • luludexter

looking past the editorial (and at times too wacky) styling, there are some really nice pieces here – playful but not cloying – and many wearable.

  • emilyaGoGo

    Holy Coat Porn! *swoon*

  • Frank_821

The images and combination are expectedly silly but the clothes are great

  • mjude

love this! “on a clear day” realness

  • Glam Dixie

There are a few clunkers mixed in but I really love most of this. It’s nice to see the styling toned down from the previous psychotic levels.

  • I love all of this so much. I need all of those shoes and tights, and I adore the coats.

  • lalahartma

Love this!! And very Fluevog friendly!

  • Nancer

Some fugly things here (yes, I’m looking at you, third dress from the top). Yet there are also lots of pieces that could be broken out and worn without the rest of the whack-a-do that would be really exceptional. So maybe don’t follow the look book. Just pick the exceptional pieces out and style them better!

  • Julie Chase

My first reaction was “BATSHIT” but the more I look at the pieces individually, the more I like the collection. The tailoring is impeccable.

  • Anna

Some beautiful pieces that I’d love to see either worn on their own and with less Chloe Sevigny’s Ever-Changing Alters styling.

For instance, I absolutely adore the jacket in the fourth photo, but the skirt looks like it either came from or belongs in an automatic car wash. Love the colour palette and prints though.

  • boweryboy

I love his brand of crazy. Even if it doesn’t make sense it’s always interesting. Surprisingly, this is his most lowkey, accessible, and wearable womenswear collection to date. However, wide fringe skirts will always read car wash to me.

  • Sarah

OMG shoes and tights. I heart you.

  • The blue coat with the striped skirt, orange tights is a stunning look. Some of the layering got weird (skirt over trousers?) but gorgeous shoes plus re-examining pattern clashing means that I will be staring at this collection a better part of my day.

  • Gatto Nero

Some of those jackets are midcentury Chanel ripoffs.
ETA: Love many of the prints, though, and would wear several of these pieces separately.

  • SugarSnap108

I love this. Even the parts I hate.

  • The model reminds me a bit of Kristen Wiig, which makes me think she should have a go with some of these. She’ll probably put a choker on and fuck it up completely, but I’d like her to try.

  • imspinningaround

I see a lot of ideas here I hope will trickle down to Talbots or the Nordstrom house brand.

  • frannyprof

I love all of this. Librarian on vacation. Sign me up.

  • ktr33

Lot of stuff up here that I really but to what resort are we wearing thights and heavy brocade coats and so many layers? Looks more like a fall collection.

  • Danielle

That navy and white flowered number is perfection. Gimme.

  • Tights don’t say “resort” to me.

  • Terry

The outfits swing between “OMG, gorgeous” to “He must be smoking crack” with no stops in between.

  • decormaven

The floral dress with the jacket (#5)- we’ll be seeing that one soon on some lucky celeb. The multi-color floral dress with the green capelet- whimsical and fun. I like this collection very much.

  • KendraMR

LOVE! However, I think may need to shower after all that coat porn 😀

  • jilly_d

First Thom Browne collection EVER where I could see myself in a lot of the pieces. These are really fun but still wearable and styled really interestingly. Total win.

  • BlairBear

Some of it is fabulous and some of it is fabulously weird but I kind of love it all

  • KinoEye

This is some serious coat porn for a resort collection, but you won’t hear me complaining. J’adore.

  • ashtangajunkie

There is a lot to love here, especially the jackets and coats.

  • majorbedhead

I love about 90% of these unreservedly. Love, love, love. And the shoes are making me swoon. I am coveting them hard.

  • kategs

Normally I am not a huge fan but these are wonderful.

  • MoHub

I can see myself wearing almost all of this once it’s translated into real-world wear.

  • kimmeister

I saw “Thom Browne” in the title and braced myself to be horrified. Imagine my surprise! I would never wear anything as presented, of course, but a lot of really great pieces. There’s some real creativity on display.

  • Twigg

Alice in Wonderland but with MORE acid.

  • Snailstsichr

    Mod + Steampunk + Chanel
Everything looks like such fun to wear

  • Miss wks

    fucking fabulous!

  • ballerinawithagun

Love Thom Browne! Love stockings instead of blue veined legs!

  • Wattage

Luv. It has a Bloomsbury / late Edwardian vibe. The tights make me think of the film of “Women in Love.”

  • mar

I adore the shoes and I was prepared to mock the clothes but I don’t hate anything except for that weird dress that is half golf top (grey) and half shapeless pleats (cream). The mix and match fabrics and patterns really work well in this collection.

  • TinyDynamo

LOVE. So many amazing looks, and so many great pieces to wear separately. Beautiful! And I want Elle Fanning in that floral dress with the green capelet top STAT.

  • KateShouldBeWorking

    Anthropologie fever dream.

  • BlairBear

Patsy Stone would rock the shit out of some of the jackets

  • Fanny_Trollope

    Skirts over pants: Brace yourselves.

  • Lower L

I like a lot of this. I would really like a 360-degree view of the “mismatched” shoes. And somebody should show these to Zooey Deschanel’s people, so she can swap out her standard black tights for something more colorful.

  • Lex

Love the bright colors and the shoes (especially the shoes in the first picture)…not so convinced on the macrame flowers though.

  • kfizz

I’m surprised how much I like a lot of this. Fun.

  • MarissaLG

Love! Especially the shoes. Other designers please take note- this is a heel height and shape that works.

  • kim bunchalastnames

not every piece is flawless (or even wearable; i.e., the “here are my most pronounced sexual characteristics” top and skirt), but most of this is beyond fabulous.

  • kerryev

It’s almost the least fun of all of them but that x3 mixed tweed look is adorable.

  • Anapestic

The giant floral background is not doing any of these clothes any favors.

  • SewingSiren

Love. I think I’ll go sew some little appliqués on all my tights now.

  • Shalhevet

I love the floral dark blue coat in the 15th picture down, sixth from bottom. And the red/blue/white shoes in the eighth picture. And I love this entire collection for the blessed lack of cutouts and sheerness so ubiquitous elsewhere. Also, the models’ hait and makeup are natrual and flattering, which is also unusual and awesome.

  • LilyVanessi

If I hadn’t read the title, I would never have guessed the designer. Some of these pieces are spectacular, which is not a word I have ever used in conjunction with Thom Browne.

  • Whever

MY KINGDOM FOR THE JACKET IN #8.

  • jspark

Was he trying to create a collections that wouldn’t sell? Other then the print in the first pic, I’m not liking any of this.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

Interesting collection. There are some very conservative pieces mixed with wackiness.

  • Aliu

I’m not fond of the table cloth/ curtain fabric of the first two looks but give me the accessories. SO MUCH NEED for those tights, the ankle boots, the mirrored sunglasses and the doctor bags!!!

  • Love this. Love the colors and shapes, the prints are beautiful. Adore the stockings especially the embellished ones! Its wacky, but in a gorgeous way.

  • Heather

Oh man, I want all of these things. Preferably paired with some more basic things, but I think I like every single piece… Except the panel dresses (pics 7 & 18), I think those are seriously FMO.

  • Jennifer McGuire

    Migraine-inducing. But certainly not boring.

  • crash1212

I don’t hate this as much as I thought I would. Don’t love it either…those twee circle skirts over cuffed pants are just….well, I cannot with them. Some lovely textiles though.

  • elirt

I want to live in Thom Browne’s world. It’s always so fantastic! He does the neatest things with color/pattern/combinations.

  • formerlyAnon

Who got hold of the Thom Browne designers? I started out keeping track of the garments I considered wearable and desirable – and I had to quit because there were too many! Thom Browne women’s alway has some pieces I like if you hunt them out, but very little hunting was required here.

  • Trickytrisha

Uh oh. This is Thom Browne. I don’t find it irritating and repulsive. I’m so confused!

  • Synnae

I’d like to call this: When bad styling happens to pretty clothes…

  • JynxTheCat

    please define “resort” for me.

  • Shawn EH

I can get behind clashing patterns. Even the ones paired with solids seem to clash!

  • suzq

The coats and jackets are TO DIE! Lovely.

  • James

Many fab pieces here, that could be worn in real life, properly styled. I love this.

  • Qitkat

I am so impressed. This is an AMAZING collection! Inventive, cohesive, colorful, flattering, and so much fun. I would like to meet (or BE) the woman who has “the balls” to put together her own look from this collection.

  • teensmom99

Not in love. These days, I am a size 14 who thinks that I would think I could fit into some of these dresses but they would look awful.

  • somebody blonde

I’m surprised. I think this is the first time I’ve liked a Thom Browne collection. I would never style these pieces this way, but I actually like most of the pieces, and I even love some of them. Love that gray suit with the flowers- I’d wear that with a button down in a heartbeat. Also love the look with the red striped shirt, white coat and blue skirt minus the pants- that one is almost real-world wearable as is.

    • BLauD

I was really surprised too. Some of the pieces are really lovely, and I’d wear them in a heartbeat, and the ones I don’t love, I still love the prints/patterns/fabrics. The styling is obviously a bit nutty, but that’s to be expected.

  • YoungSally

Something about the lilac stockings just screams Mary Poppins to me.

  • Alloy Jane

I love this guy. And I would totally wear green tights with flower knees. TBH, I have green tights with a flower print…

And some of those shoes! So lovely!

  • malarson2

Should I send Thom Browne some flowers? I don’t think he’s had enough of them in his life. (ok, my snark for the day).

  • smallgirlsaretrouble

Not digging the skirt with strips – it reminds me of the plastic door strips they used to have in shops to keep the flies out (did they have those other than just in Australia?)

  • quiltrx

Maybe I have a fever or something…but I really like most of this! Love the color palette. Some of the looks are ‘one too many things,’ but take the pieces apart and there is some great (and wearable) stuff here. I especially love the large florals–the monochromatic one is just as lovely as the bright one!

  • Sorry. If I saw someone wearing this stuff at a resort where I had paid good money to relax and renew, I’d complain. The white coat with the black piping is just about the only item I care for.

  • demidaemon

It’s a bit costumey, yeah, but I really like about two thirds of it. A couple looks just go over the line–including the firsst and anything with a skirt over pants. My bigger problem is that this does not look like a resort collection AT ALL. It reads a lot more fall than anything else.

    • somebody blonde

I think maybe if you think about it as “Stuffy English people vacationing at a ‘resort’ in Bath” then it makes a little more sense as a resort collection. Or if you imagine that he believes Resort is just fashion code for summer clothing. I think the idea of Resort collections being the same as cruise-ship clothing is gradually disappearing as the market becomes so lucrative.

Also, the skirt over pants looks are a lot better if you mentally eliminate one or the other. I thought they looked awful at first, but now that I’m looking again, it is an economical way to show two ways to style the top pieces.

      • demidaemon

I see what you are saying, especially when it comes to the styling. Like I said, I like about two thirds of the collection. I guess I always conflate Resort with Summer, as they seem to kind of go together in the themes of seasonal collections, and this doesn’t really read as summer clothing. If you think of it more as vacation clothing, I could see how it would work for a fall or winter vacation.

  • B. Garcia

    Expensive clownwear.

  • Anplica Fiore

Oh look – the Fanning sisters new wardrobe is done! At least if this all comes in gray, mauve & taupe…

  • mcbishop

    Like this. A lot.

  • Kikishua

Whimsical librarian. I can say that, because I am one.

  • lorepottter

Im not sure about the clothes, but the shoes! i love the shoes

  • anotherkate

I love this! Thom Browne, you are fun.
