The hair is driving me absolutely insane.

Some of the pieces are nice, but what’s with the prison jumpsuits?

    • decormaven

Because it’s a crime to wear these looks.

    • PeggyOC

Agreed I can’t even look at the clothes because I’m so distracted by the hair.

      • ballerinawithagun

        Hair is absolutely disgusting!

        • smayper

Please just give me some scissors…

          • evave2

Everybody here is right; are those hair extensions just added on? Because it is giving me a sympathy headache watching these poor boys. Number3 looks like he is about to vomit from vertigo
I also think the coats which have pictures on the back flap are really stupid looking.

    • schadenfreudelicious

      Batshit is the New Black?

    • RescueMe23

You read my mind! That hair! And, no one really needs to be wearing prison garb.

    • joything

My thought. Prisonwear in mauve and cerise?

    • Bad Idea Jeans

Prison jumpsuits and colored lab coats. Whatevs.

    • jabes

At my first glance of the brown “prison wear,” I thought some random UPS driver had gotten up on the runway.

    • jspark

      Now that’s Zoohair

  • marlie

WHY IS THEIR HAIR LIKE THAT?? I’m starting to dread clicking on the links to the menswear collections because I’m afraid of what craziness they’re going to foist upon us. This is not all batshit crazy, but most of it is.

  • Danielle

I NEED SOME SCISSORS OH MY GOD

    • Glam Dixie

Watch out for the spiders that were in that hair web before the boys had to walk through it.

      • marlie

UGH. I’m starting to itch now.

  • TinyDynamo

Some really amazing pieces. But seriously THAT HAIR IS THE WORST.

Also I have a legitimate question. Designers used to look to “street fashion” as inspiration, but would elevate it by & make it creative & thoughtful. Why do so many designers just seem to crank out street wear? I’m confused as to why someone would pay tons of $$$ to wear street looks.

    • Glam Dixie

They look like they walked through hair spider webs. *shudders*

      • TinyDynamo

I JUST DIED THINKING ABOUT THAT!

  • Glam Dixie

Boy is that hair distracting, I had to force myself to look away from it and at the clothes which are mostly very nice but I don’t like the odd photos and patches.

  • James

Some of these are really lovely, I could go for a few of those jackets/coats, give me the white one, but I keep getting distracted by the straw coming out of their hair. Argh.

    • Kent Roby

      That’s not straw; it’s Raf-ia!

  • Sarah

My eyes, they water in sympathy. May the Wispy Look never catch on. EVER. Raf should stick to menswear. Loads better’n what he does to women.

    • TinyDynamo

Right? I’d wear his menswear, but his womenswear is fug.

    • Agent Sculder

It boggles my mind that he makes interesting and wearable clothes for men, but when it comes to the clothes he makes for women at Dior they are often just TERRIBAD. He really ought to just stick to men’s wear, and let someone else who actually knows how to dress women take over at Dior.

  • boweryboy

It’s a lot better than the crap he churns out for Dior. There are a few pieces I would love to add to my wardrobe (I love the marled blue sweater). The hair is giving me the heebee jeebees.

    • Thomas

I’ll fight you for that sweater. I’d cut a bitch for it.

  • Kassy Nicholson

The weird flaps hanging off the backs of the coats are reminding me very much of my best friend’s big sister’s cheerleading jacket circa 1990.

  • LJCdoc

I can’t even look at the clothes because I can’t get past the “what in the ever-loving fuck did they do to these poor boys’ heads?”.

  • Nancer

Some of this is actually wearable! So, in all of the mens collections, I sense a major move toward colorful prints and luxurious fabrics. The motifs are becoming more feminine, with pattern, embroidery, and silk – even chiffon. Although lots of this has been unwearable and laughable, at the same time I like that it’s challenging that line; androgyny can be more than women in pants. While there has been some batsh*t crazy stuff, I like that overall this season we are moving the bar for mens looks. It’s interesting.

  • BlairBear

    “Wearable” Instagram

  • Capt. Renault

Gulag uniforms were due to be refreshed, I say.

  • sienna elm

I love these coats!! (except maybe the blue & white print tunic…can’t quite figure out if it’s supposed to be a coat or not)

  • MilaXX

I don’t like everything and the styling sucks. but I can see this being a pretty successful collection.

  • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

You take some of the finest specimens of young masculinity going around, and you give them skeevy serial killer hair. That will DEFINITELY sell clothes. And referencing Hokusai seems a little sophomoric. Raf needs to go back and look at Alexander McQueen’s graduate collection and see what art looks like.

    • ADMK

Yeah, I’m pretty sure he knows what he’s doing, but thanks. If you really knew anything about Raf Simons, you’d know his whole aesthetic and interlace aesthetic comes from exploring what you’d consider “sophomoric.”

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

        No no, thank you.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

    Seriously?!!

  • Jacqueline Wessel

Sandals with socks?!??? And I agree with everyone about weird hair wisps.

  • Crystal

    LOL IRL

That hair looks like a bug with long legs is hanging off their face.

  • In_Stitches

Has anyone called it hairlarious yet?

Maybe he thought, with the glaring problem, people would be searching for a nice compliment and would squeeze out a, “well, the clothes look nice”. Honey, have confidence in your work. Some of these pieces are pretty great.

  • smayper

Fascinated to know what people think of the retro photographs on the funky backslap/hood/cape thingies.

  • PinkyK

    Were those capes? Seriously, why!?!

  • Shawn EH

Like a lot of the coats, especially the waist buttons!

  • Kerry McCombs

I will third fourth fifth into eternity: HAIR. I can’t. I just can’t.

  • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

His Menswear is so much better than his looks for Dior women that it makes me angry. FABULANGRY. FABULANGRY GABY SMASH.

  • demidaemon

You know, I kind of prefer the WTF collections to this stuff. I mean, it’s kind of depressing and the head styling is just dumb. And what’s with the mini-capes with the random detritus and photos attached to it. DO NOT GET.

    • conniemd

I found the collection incredibly dull and boring. The only interesting part were the really strange capes that seemed to serve no other purpose than be a design element with some color and pattern. I think I prefer cray cray to boring.

      • demidaemon

True. It’s like he blew his wad with the hair and ended up with depressing, boring clothes.

  • Imasewsure

The pants are nice (and normal). Like the marbled sweater and the purple shoes. The rest is a nice direction but I don’t like any of it. They must be crushed. I know how much my opinion means to them

  • Lily

As ridiculous as the hair is, this is one of the few collections we’ve seen where pieces are actually wearable – by real people. And thank Uncles there’s not a mandal in sight.

  • Fanny_Trollope

    COOOOOAAAAATS

  • FibonacciSequins

The hair seems like a distraction. I like some of the coat, and the pants are wearable. There’s not much making me sit up and take notice, except that maroon coat.

  • Mona_Visa

Much to love here. Not the hair, I agree with others that it looks pointless & should have been edited. But the coat-jacket-things are kinda hot.

  • ChelseaNH

What’s with menswear going all crafts project these days?

  • PastryGoddess

This collection solidifies for me that he shouldn’t be designing for Dior. His aesthetic and Dior’s are so far apart it’s not even funny. He is a very good designer, but Dior is the wrong house for him. Some of these looks are really fantastic and the collection as a whole is very good

  • suzq

The shoes are amazing! It’s clear that menswear designers are trying to bust down the suit mold. Have fun storming the castle, guys…and hope the economy picks up so that men will feel….experimental again.

  • Trickytrisha

In spite of the silly hair whispies, this is the only men’s collection this week that didn’t have me giggling uncontrollably.

  • t bell

Hmmm, what’s worse the clothes or the hair? The choice is so difficult, maybe just call it a tie.

  • holla

I am so in love with the first white coat that the place-mat cape doesn’t even bother me.

  • FridaStaire

Not funny enough for my liking. I like my menswear collections roll-on-the floor level. Prison jumpsuits don’t cut it.

  • GoryDetails

So… this is the “I just got a swirlie” collection?

  • crash1212

There’s some seriously cool outer wear here. But, what’s with those weird hair strand thingies? Can’t the mens just present the freakin’ clothes? Must they resort to oddities? Face paint. Face sails. Jeez. Seems like the clothes should speak for themselves. Humph.

  • boweryboy

No to the shower shoes with black socks. Just no.

  • Kent Roby

So many of these coats are close to being awesome, until you get to the crafty touches (patchwork caplet, are you kidding me, Raf?)

  • quiltrx

Worst styling ever MY FACE IS ITCHING!!!
I had to scroll up from the bottom so I could look at the clothes properly. Despite some weirdness, I think this may be the men’s collection I’ve liked best so far. The colors are nice, and I like the colors and patterns used.
And I REALLY like those coats with the multiple horizontal buttons! Hopefully some reasonably-priced women’s clothing company will catch on to that…

  • Moocows

Replace the hot models with someone like jackie earle haley and that haircut instantly reads pedophile. The hair styling and the hideous brown baby poo prison outfits with accompanying id badges really read more of prison perv chic than anything else. Maybe i just dont get it.

  • Jeremy Thomas Porta

It looks like a prison inspired collection.

  • http://trooperschaf.blogspot.de/ TrooperSchaf

some of the items are quite nice, but it is hard to watch the clothes with that style choices going on at the heads. PLus: TLo got the “be me or do me” categories, I part the world in fuck ’em or feed ’em, those models are on the “give them cookies and donuts”-part of that

  • icm

The hair is batshit crazy! Kudos to the models that made it down the runway without touching their faces to brush it away, Itchy!

  • JynxTheCat

someone got paid damn good money to concept that styling. SMH.
